I was wondering if someone could maybe walk me through what RAM timings actually mean, and like, which specific timing is considered better or higher quality when you're building a gaming PC?
For example, would a George Washington 16GB 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 be better than a George Washington 16GB 1600MHz 10-10-10-27?

I honestly feel like the differences are pretty negligible—take RAM speeds, for instance. Moving from 1333MHz to 1666MHz? You’re barely going to notice a thing.

That’s all about access speed. Lower latency is always better. So, if that RAM could actually hit those timings, the 9-9-9-24 would be superior, but honestly, it's probably not worth the headache. You don't want to risk frying your memory.

Honestly, it’s completely irrelevant, and there isn’t any way for a regular person to actually notice it during normal use. You’re really only going to see a difference in memory latency if you're running some highly specialized benchmarking software.

for gaming - nothing else compares, it's just the same
