it doesn't get any stupider than this, just pure, unadulterated nonsense
but honestly, the best part was this line

start of the movie: the T-virus hits the entire US within a month, then the whole world in a few months
then later in the flick, the same guy goes: "well, we could head to Alaska, surely the virus hasn't spread THAT far yet"😂😂

And that bit about the world being ruined? I mean, fine, maybe they ran out of budget for this kind of crap, but their commitment to being dumb is impressive—they went all the way out to the desert to film, but whenever they actually needed to show something, they just used cheap CGI to explain it away. And that explanation about how the world turned into a wasteland even harsher than Mad Max in just five years? Absolute joke

The worst part, though, is seeing the teaser for the 4th one already, clearly signaling they're gonna dump another $100-200 million into CGI just to watch people jump around and hack at zombies :cheers:

You really shouldn't expect much from the Resident Evil movies. Honestly, the first two weren't even particularly good, though I have to admit I'm actually looking forward to seeing the third installment. An hour and a half of pure action, a plot that makes zero sense, and Scarlett Johansson mowing down zombies? That sounds like a great time at the cinema to me.

I’d probably tune in just for Scarlett Johansson 😁 though I already had a feeling the movie itself would be total garbage. ☕

The first movie was totally fine.
The plot's a bit tired, but I love the setting—that kind of thing.
Underground labs and twisted storylines? Count me in.
You really have to pay attention to catch everything.

Part two was pretty mediocre.
Zero twists, zero real buildup!

Part three, though? Can't wait!

The movie just hit theaters about five or six days ago, so I honestly can't imagine why anyone would settle for that terrible, low-quality cam version out there. Watching a film like that absolutely kills the entire experience!

I honestly can't wrap my head around why those movies have absolutely nothing to do with the actual game. Wouldn't they have been incredible if they had just stayed true to the source material?

👍 I totally agree!! Aside from a few character names and minor details, there is absolutely nothing connecting them to the game, let alone Resident Evil. But hey, what did they expect when they filmed Extinction?! It has nothing to do with the Resident Evil games. It’s obvious the directors have never even picked up a controller. And don't even get me started on Alone in the Dark—they completely butchered that one.

edit: If I were George A. Romero, I’d be suing the guy who directed Resident Evil for stealing his ideas, like zombies being able to learn or remembering things right before they die.

The movie is an absolute blast! 🤣
Since modern Hollywood guidelines basically ban characters from smoking for more than five minutes without asking everyone else if they have a light, 😁

it’s just overflowing with clever nods and homages to the horror genre. 👍

There are at least three standout moments in this thing:

SO, IF YOU ARE HEADING TO THE MOVIES SOON AND WANT TO AVOID SPOILERS, PLEASE SKIP THE REST OF THIS POST:



1. That scene where Alice lights up the sky and incinerates that whole squadron of zombie crows.

2. The part where Oliver is casually smoking a joint in a tank full of dynamite while zombies are literally twitching all over him.

3. When we finally get a look at Alice's clones.

...plus a whole lot more, but I'll let you discover those for yourselves! 🙂

I’ve only ever seen the first one... it was fine, I guess, but nothing special. Honestly, if someone tried to offer me The Walking Dead, I wouldn't even watch it. There are way better movies out there than that.

Oh, please—give me a break. The first one was absolute perfection. I mean, who needs a deep plot when you just want to zone out? It’s the ultimate mindless popcorn flick. Now, the sequel feels a little sluggish—that’s really the only reason it isn't hitting as hard as the original—but honestly, I’m still stoked to see it. I actually planned on hitting the theater yesterday, but I couldn't find anyone to go with (apparently, people don't share my taste...) 😢 Whatever, I'll catch it eventually! 😍

I actually thought the first one was pretty good. It was fun. Plus, I’m a huge fan of Scarlett Johansson, so that was definitely a bonus—she looked amazing in that dress and those boots (I actually went out and bought the exact same pair immediately🤣). But man, the second part? It was an absolute train wreck. Even Scarlett couldn't save that mess from being total garbage.
I'll probably end up watching the third one too, but honestly, it's only because of her. If the second installment was such a disaster, I have no idea what to expect from the third, other than it potentially being even worse.😢

What an absolute killer way to wrap up this trilogy. Seriously, wow. 🙏 This is hands down the best *The Walking Dead* movie yet—it’s in a completely different league compared to the first two (and let's be real, that second one was a total train wreck). Honestly? It might even be the best video game adaptation ever put on screen.
