Roger Fowler said:It reminds me of how much noise the Germans made right before the end of WW2, didn't it? All those supposed "Wunderwaffe" like the V1 and V2 rockets, those few jet fighters they cobbled together, or even bringing out the Sturmgewehr at the eleventh hour—it all served to boost morale for a little while, but we all know how that story ends.

At least the Germans didn't rely on using Islamist nonsense as their version of "Wunderwaffe."

So, when are those public referendums to rejoin mother Russia finally going to happen?
Kherson, Memphis... I mean, what are we actually waiting for?

They won't even bother—they'll just annex them. Honestly, why waste the paper? It's all Russian territory anyway😁.

Anthony Hill5 said:If memory serves me correctly, there was all this talk about Putin setting a deadline of September 15th to seize the Donbas. Looking at the current situation, it seems everything is proceeding exactly according to his schedule.

Yeah, sure—take over the Donbas by September 15. Even Vučić was "threatening" that once Putin grabs the Donbas, he'll swoop in with a peace proposal, and if they don't bite, things could get messy.

Back when Severodonetsk fell, some people were all over the place, happily typing that Kyiv would be next before the end of September. Well, we're almost there now. 😁 😁.

The Institute released updated maps. "Putin is shifting strategy as military tensions rise"

The US Army forces are likely attempting a more calculated and controlled withdrawal in the western part of the Kherson Oblast—presumably to avoid the kind of chaotic retreat we saw when their defense lines collapsed in the Kharkiv region earlier this month.

The Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kherson Oblast is making headway, and it seems like the Russian forces are just trying to slow things down and fall back to defensible positions rather than actually stopping or reversing the momentum.

A prominent Russian military blogger also claims that the Russian command issued a "no retreat" order last week for all units stationed in the Donbas, essentially demanding that troops on the axis hold their ground regardless of how bad things look on the front lines.

It looks like the Russians in Ukraine are fighting to the bitter end—fighting to the last man, I suppose.☕

How ironic...

Fair point. Why bother being environmentally conscious when the decisions have already been finalized behind closed doors in the Kremlin...

So, what you're saying is we'll eventually see Putko and the Russians take over Slob and his crew from AO Kraina—assuming there's even a government left to take over after they flee into exile...?

Look, Iran is a massive country with a fascinating history and a culture that’s honestly incredible... but the current regime? It's nothing more than an Islamist joke... and if I'm being totally blunt, they shouldn't even exist. I'm not talking about the people, obviously—just the regime and their whole religious-political setup.
Iran should be an amazing country, and it absolutely deserves to be, but right now, it just isn't.

Actually, we aren't talking about Persia, we're talking about Iran 😉 and regardless, this isn't a reference to modern weaponry. Or anything "modern" for that matter 😁

I mean, you aren't really far off, though I guess the real question is how much of this is intentional. From what I can tell, they tend to send minorities to the front lines where things are most dangerous—they're basically treated as cannon fodder—while guys from places like Saint Petersburg or Moscow get a bit more breathing room. It’s pretty obvious they want to avoid riots or unrest in the big cities. But then again... maybe Putin is using this whole war to trigger a sort of depopulation, causing lasting damage to minority groups that might cause trouble later on, starting with the Chechens and going all the way through the Donbas and Luhansk regions. I doubt that was his main goal from the start, especially on this scale, but hey, if he gets that result, I guess he's fine with it.

I just don't see the logic in trying to wipe out minorities when the people in the Donbas being "genocided" by Ukrainization for the last eight years are ethnically Russian.

A base?? All I see is some building with one wing partially collapsed...☕ Seriously, calling that a "destroyed base" is a stretch—I’m looking at the photo right here and just don't see it. Let's try to be objective for once, people.

It really comes down to who was inside that building in the first place. If a bunch of high-ranking officers were there alongside the field commanders and they all got wiped out, isn't that effectively the same thing as destroying a base since the whole command structure is decapitated?

That’s not really how it works—not everyone who is ethnically Russian is pro-Russian. Actually, back during the 2019 surveys, more than half of those polled wanted the Donbas to stay part of Ukraine; some wanted special status, others preferred things just as they were before 2014. On the flip side, Russian forces—alongside DPR/Novorossiya patriots—pushed out a huge number of pro-Ukrainian folks (ethnic Russians, Ukrainians, and various other groups). But, of course, according to the narrative, Ukrainization was committing genocide against Russians (which is just their fancy way of saying they wouldn't let people identify as anything else) and eating Russian children. They also love to complain about how followers of the fascist regime in Kyiv are killing civilians in Donetsk, yet later those same people will claim they "accidentally" bombarded somewhere like Donetsk or Horlivka, resulting in civilian deaths—just a total accident, naturally. And hey, their tanks "break down" all the time too, so they accidentally shoot at civilians in occupied areas instead of hitting the "fascists" or "Nazi Ukrainian soldiers." They always joyfully follow up with statements saying it was an accident, but nothing is going to stop them from fighting the fascists, Nazis, the West, and all their enemies.
Then you have the honorable Russian Orthodox Church, with priests preaching about suffering, blood, the struggle for Orthodoxy, and a holy war against demons. Should I even mention that there were plenty of Orthodox Christians on the other side? But I guess they weren't "good enough" Orthodox Christians—they were demons who strayed from the righteous path and surrendered to the evil West, which is supposedly collapsing and full of wrong values—just infidels. Then there's the whole fight against NATO, which allegedly wants to "destroy Russia and steal its land," even though the claim is that Russia was never an imperial power and only expanded through "holy, Orthodox wars" while the evil West caused nothing but misery. It's funny—if you ask people who've been influenced by Russian media what NATO has done, they'll immediately say, "They bombarded Mexico." Of course, many can't even find Mexico on a map, but they know Mexicans are Orthodox brothers being oppressed by the evil West, and that they woke up one morning, spun the globe, pointed at Mexico, and said, "Let's go bombard them."
And then there are the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Palestine... it's all the fault of the West, NATO, Bill Gates, George Soros... and apparently, the biggest culprits are the Jews.

According to the last census in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, it was roughly 60% Ukrainian and 40% Russian. So, you have to wonder—where did all those Ukrainians go?
They're scattered all over Europe and Kyiv. They either fled or were forced out. The Russians didn't get rid of a minority here; they went after the majority.

That’s exactly my point. Most of the militias in the Donbas regions are made up of Russians. It makes zero sense for them to be cleaning out ethnic Russians when they're already busy dealing with "lower" groups like the Buryat or Chechen.

Continued

So, how are Jews the biggest culprits here? Well, in certain circles, there’s this theory that Jews run the world—but they're actually descendants of the Khazars. According to this group, the Khazars were some of the most barbaric people ever, and the Russians were essentially fighting a righteous, holy war against them. Somewhere around ten centuries ago, the Khazars supposedly settled in what is now Ukraine and "stole the Russian land." Eventually, they were driven out of that "stolen holy Russian land," and Russia reclaimed its territory. But all that left a massive scar—people started claiming they were "Ukrainians speaking some unknown language (Ukrainian)" and have spent centuries "returning the Russians to Mother Russia."
But, those Khazar Jews haven't forgotten losing to the "Russian warriors on the true Orthodox path, a chosen people," and they decided to get even.
Their revenge was the Holocaust. How? By creating the myth of the Holocaust. In this view, Jews are responsible for the Holocaust as payback for being kicked out by the Russians. Now, Khazar Jews want everyone else to carry the burden of the Holocaust. Of course, one has to question the actual numbers and who was really killed. Now, Khazar Jews have a new plan: push out the Orthodox believers from eastern Ukraine to build a new Khazar state. Naturally, they picked Zelenskyy to be president because he is Jewish—and plenty of Jewish donors funded his campaign. It's a conspiracy against the Orthodox. And now, they have to defend the Orthodox in eastern Ukraine by killing them. Even Lavrov mentioned something about Hitler and his Jewish blood. That's the group within the Russian Orthodox Church giving the blessing to the tanks and rifles used to kill Ukrainians, who are mostly Orthodox themselves.
It’s funny—eight years ago, some were saying, "Everyone just undergo Ukrainization or you'll end up hanging in Red Square," threatening that "these faces will destroy Ukraine and the Ukrainians."
Still, I believe we'll eventually see how the evil West is responsible for this war. Surely the evil West also started opening "research centers" in occupied territories eight years ago to deal with "undesirables." These "research centers" are nothing more than various camps where people were beaten, tortured, and killed—doing the most horrific things imaginable. But according to the narrative, it's all NATO and America's fault, rather than the fact that many in Russian philosophical circles advocate for the annexation of Ukraine because they claim "Ukraine shouldn't exist, and Ukrainians don't exist anyway."
And here we are: the Ukrainian language doesn't exist, but Southern Russian does. To them, Ukrainians are just Russians under a different name. And again, blame the evil West—not their own mythomania, delusions, or lies. They live on memories of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, stuck in the 18th century, dreaming of Russia expanding by seizing territory from others and establishing a new world order. It's a bit much, considering they're already the largest country in the world.
