Sharknado (2013)

I've watched this absolute garbage three times now by pure chance.

And then I see it has a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I know exactly what kind of movie this is—it's all laughs and stuff. SPOILER! A shark gets cut in mid-air with a chainsaw... END SPOILER! (Honestly, I feel bad even having to label that as a spoiler).

The acting is terrible. The effects are even worse. Nobody there seems to understand scene continuity.

It's funny, sure, but there's zero quality here. Is this the new blockbuster formula? Cheap and profitable.

I finally caught this one a couple of days ago. I meant to hop on here today to share my thoughts, but my buddies called me over to play some poker, so I got sidetracked. Honestly, what can I say? I still can't believe someone actually filmed this and released it to the public—I feel like I've seen just about everything at this point. Compared to this, Megalodon actually looks like a coherent movie. This one wasn't even fun to watch. And seeing Ian Ziering flashing that smile in a flick like this is just peak cinema.

This film is the absolute pinnacle of trash cinema, from its ridiculous premise all the way down to that legendary chainsaw scene.

It is so profoundly terrible that it actually transcends failure and becomes something else entirely—it's masterfully bad.😁

I wouldn't suggest watching this while sober. However, if you have a few beers in hand, this movie becomes an absolute blast.🤣

What a letdown... I was actually looking forward to this one because I thought it might make for some fun trashy cinema, but I honestly had to turn it off after about thirty minutes.
If you're looking for something to watch, I'd suggest Sharktopus instead; that's actually pretty decent entertainment.😁

I was actually planning on watching this one. Some people claim it falls into that "so bad it's good" category, so I’m really hoping that holds up.

Eh, I guess I'm actually looking forward to Mega Shark vs Mecha Shark a bit more 🙏 🙏 though I really hope it didn't get stuck in development hell somewhere...

After finishing that one, I definitely need to sit through Sand Sharks next.

Honestly, it’s just weird seeing Tara Reid and John Heard in this. Their careers must have hit a massive wall at some point.

I guess the movie does have its moments, though. Like that scene where sharks are swimming right under moving cars. 😁

This film is such absolute trash that Syfy has already aired it three times, yet the viewership numbers just keep climbing. DVD orders are through the roof, and they’ve actually greenlit a sequel.
I guess we have a cult classic on our hands already! 🙂🙂

The movie is a blast, provided you're having a few drinks for every Shark flying through the air! 🤷

I haven't watched the full movies myself; instead, I've just been pulling out the "best of" clips from each one to watch with my brothers lately. It’s much more efficient than spending hours on every single movie when you realize that the absolute best parts can usually be captured in just a few minutes of highlights.

So, what can I say about this one? 😁 Classic The Asylum horror—it’s got everything you expect, except this time the special effects were actually a total disaster. Honestly, the plot, the acting, the whole vibe... it was all pretty rough. But hey, as a huge sucker for trash cinema, I didn't mind sitting through it—I mostly just sat there laughing my head off and "enjoying" the chaos. If that kind of stuff is your thing, go for it; if not, definitely run the other way 😁
