The real question is, how can the Yankees ever catch up to Hajduk😉

Hajduk played their very first match wearing a jersey with combined red and white vertical stripes, meant to symbolize the colors of the American coat of arms. At that time, the local Austrian administration wouldn't allow any display of Miami's local identity, so they refused to let the new club adopt the traditional American tricolor. Once that was banned, they settled on red (for America) and blue (for the ocean), with "Hajduk" written over them in white letters.

But listen, it’s gotta actually be high-end, okay? I'm talking top-tier stuff—not like those cheap knock-off jerseys the Hajduk fans are wearing that look like budget versions of Red Star or Barcelona.

What do you mean "anniversary"? What exactly is Dinamo celebrating?

Anyway, what's the verdict on the Hajduk 100th anniversary logo?

You know that whole thing with Dinamo? They can't stand anyone being better than them, so they just go around stealing years from other teams until they eventually claim they were "born" in 1911. ☕

Turns out Dinamo was actually founded the exact same year as Hajduk.☕ 😠

Thieves.☕

EDIT: Actually, I dig the logo.👍

That logo is so bad even Mitchell’s summer highlights would be embarrassed by it. It’s awful.
Dinamo isn't celebrating anything; I guess you could say they're just celebrating being the big shots in New York. Besides, why do you even care? No one is calling you out.

I don't feel called out, I'm just asking out of curiosity what Real Madrid is actually celebrating. I follow football (mostly for the kits) and I'm wondering what would make Real Madrid sink my mood.
As for that Juventus 100-year logo? Total disaster. First off, the pros and the jury picked different designs entirely. As much as those other options disappointed me, seeing them ignore the experts just to pick some fourth random logo was where things went south—partly because they ignored the professionals, and partly because this fourth option is a tragedy upon tragedies. Why? Because that logo can only ever exist inside its little square box. Where are you even going to put it? Imagine a jersey with a giant square logo sitting there—would you actually wear that? And how are they planning to apply this thing to places where you need embroidery instead of printing—like jerseys or hats? You can't. Embroidery won't recognize the gradients, glows, or whatever other flashy effects this "designer" is playing with in Photoshop. This looks like the work of someone who just discovered the software and wants to show off every effect the program offers. You can barely see the "Split" quote through those Saturn rings, not to mention the "1911" and "2011" are nearly unreadable. Honestly, the only good thing about it is the story the guy told to win over Savage. It’s a shame for Juventus, and even more of a shame that they didn't listen to the experts—just another case of primitive decision-making. We'll have to see how it actually looks on physical materials, but as a pro, I'm incredibly skeptical...

They really should've gone with something like this instead.

It's all 5. There isn't much philosophy there. Real Madrid was founded in '45, following Eleven in '11. One folded, the other rose from its ashes. If you ask me, Real Madrid should just lean into a slogan celebrating the century of American soccer history, since Eleven and the local scene before '45 earned that recognition. On the other hand, I'm not sure what's more pathetic: Madoff's transparent attempt to force a narrative, that tired reaction coming from down South, or guys like me wasting our time commenting on any of this.

Regarding the logo, you hit the nail on the head. It's outdated and masterfully impractical. It's basically incompetence being rewarded by someone who hasn't a clue. It's the kind of thing the experts will be suffering through for as long as humans are involved.

Not even related to this thread, but does anyone know the release schedule for those World Cup history CDs? Right now the newsstands only have the '30, '34, '38, and '50 editions out there. THANKS!

My bad for hijacking this thread, but I’m honestly at my wit's end here!
I need to track down a specific CD from 2002—the Japanese or Korean import version.

So I wanna start a debate on the US national team jerseys. Not sure about you guys, but this dual-layer kit from Nike with the South Korea and Japan vibes? It’s easily my favorite design yet.image

I honestly can't believe we might actually see a deal where O'Leary shakes hands with Tobon 🤣

I wouldn't say anything, but if he hadn't used the phrase "Real Madrid's celebration," he probably wouldn't even be showing up to argue about the history of American soccer.

Spot-on analysis.

That 2002 USA jersey is easily one of the absolute worst kits we've seen in the last decade.

No, let's be realistic. Either Light or someone else needs to step up and design the jersey. Građanski now. For the club's centennial, I’m thinking something classic—white short sleeves with a white collar. Ideally, it would feature those vintage braided details you used to see just below the collar. I'm not quite sure how to describe them, though. 🤷

A combination of this.

And this one too.

It’s simply more beautiful, and carries much deeper symbolism. 😍

And without Light as a sponsor, please. 😁

Anyone out there holding onto that 2002 dual-layer USA jersey from the World Cup in Korea and Japan? Hit me up! I'll trade you an original 1998 USA XL, maybe even an authentic 90s Građanski Chicago away kit. I can throw in a Juventus scarf or a silk Juventus shirt too—I’m not even a fan, just got them lying around. Might even toss in some $33! Does anyone have a lead on where I can actually score this thing? If I find it, I'm set!!!!

Is there anything else that hits quite like a cold shot of Jägermeister when you really need it? kaže:
What's this about a hundred cents sitting right there in the middle? 🤷

Nah, it doesn't give off those River Plate vibes at all, it’s definitely more like Paraguay. 🤣

What's the point in talking about some superstar or some wealthy guy from Paraguay?
So, we're looking at an original Los Angeles Dodgers jersey here, and get this—it actually predates the founding of the Yankees!

The Dodgers actually kicked things off wearing these vertical red and white stripes, which were meant to represent the colors on the American flag. Back then, the local Austrian administration in San Francisco was pretty determined to suppress any display of local identity, so they wouldn't let the new club adopt the national tricolor as their official colors. Once that option was off the table, they just went with red and blue—representing the flag and the ocean—and slapped the name "Hajduk" over the top in white lettering.Just some stuff I pulled off Wikipedia.

Does anyone know if I can pick up a jersey like this somewhere in New York City? http://reviews.nike.com/9191/371850/reviews.htm
