Every once in a while, I get this sensation... like someone is just pressing down on my neck (and kind of stretching down toward my sternum). It feels like I can't quite catch a full breath, and in those moments, I get incredibly anxious. It’s such an unsettling feeling. Usually, it lasts for maybe two or three hours before it finally lets up. It doesn't happen every single day, but it does happen often enough to be noticeable. Just as a side note, I did go in to have my thyroid checked out recently—my T3, T4, and TSH levels all came back normal, and the ultrasound looked fine too. Has anyone else dealt with symptoms like this?

Trust me, I’ve been through the ringer with that exact same situation, and honestly? It’s a total nightmare... 😢

Honestly, I’ve been exactly where you are. There are so many different things that can trigger that kind of feeling—it could be anything from thyroid issues to polyps, or even just a sudden wave of panic. Don't waste your energy overthinking it or driving yourself crazy; just go see a doctor. You'll feel so much better once you have some actual answers.

Based on the symptoms you’re describing, it sounds more like an anxiety episode. Panic attacks sit further up the scale—they tend to be much more turbulent and intense.

Honestly, I went through the exact same thing for a while, but then it just kind of fizzled out on its own without me doing a single thing about it. 🤷

I was chatting with a friend earlier, and she mentioned how this hits her out of nowhere sometimes. In her view, it isn't even anxiety—just straight-up, pure stress.
