Spam help!

So I was just scrolling through the feed and saw this one user get hit with a strike, and it actually showed her exactly what she did wrong and which specific post triggered it. But then I look down at my own notifications and all I see is "private" (honestly, no clue what that even means or why it's hidden?) and under the reason, it just says "spam." Like, cool, thanks for the warning, but you didn't actually tell me *why* it's considered spam.

Can someone please break this down for me? I'd really appreciate it.
