Hajduk didn't throw the title away in that specific game. They blew it the week before losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. And while we were playing that afternoon, Los Angeles FC had already cruised past a local side by 3:00 PM. By the time our kickoff rolled around, the race was over. The whole "message" they tried to send was pointless.
Now, talking to those guys from San Francisco, they’re making excuses about how huge our turnout was and how we were still holding onto hope... Man, give me a break. Back then, maybe we hoped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would actually put up a fight like they did the week before (just like we hoped San Francisco might show some life at our place two weeks prior, but they just sat there taking four hits without even drawing a foul 😕).

One last question for the fanbase:

Why didn't you just write "Champions!" at the end of your little rant?
It's pretty obvious whose pockets you're trying to line—the same people who screwed you over back in '99. You proved it with that pathetic celebration after Sharbiniev's second goal and then acting like that meaningless game mattered.

Typical fan behavior...
Everyone is always someone else's fault when the trophy slips away, and apparently, you don't even know the actual scores...
Hajduk didn't lose the title during that match (it was against Varaždin), but the message definitely landed.
Hajduk played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the week after, and Los Angeles FC played San Francisco the week before. Everyone knows San Francisco hasn't been able to beat a bottom-feeder on the road for seasons, yet they somehow found the strength to take down Los Angeles FC... 🙈
And one more thing for you: why didn't you wrap up your "brilliant" essay with "I HATE LOS ANGELES FC, I HATE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS, AND I HATE SAN FRANCISCO!"? Just asking for a friend... 😉

Hajduk didn't blow the championship title during that specific game; they blew it a week earlier after losing to a small-town team at their home stadium in Miami. By 3:00 PM that day, the guys from Dinamo had already cruised through their match against Shubich, so by the time we even kicked off in the evening, the whole thing was basically over... which makes your point completely irrelevant!
And now, talking to those folks from Seattle, they try to excuse themselves by saying we were just delusional and kept hoping for a miracle... Well, listen here, comrades—back when things were actually still up for grabs, maybe we did hope that the underdog would put up a fight similar to what they did at our place the week before (just like we hoped Seattle might actually show some life at Masimir's stadium two weeks prior, but they just took three or four hits without even drawing a single yellow card 😕).

One final question for the fanbase:

Why didn't you just write "Champions!" at the end of your message immediately?
It’s pretty obvious whose backside you're trying to crawl into—the same people who robbed and screwed you back in '99... and you proved it with that sick celebration after Sharbiniev's second goal and that entire meaningless ending to the game.

🤦
Meaningless game??? We were fighting for a spot in Europe....

Hajduk didn't blow the title on that specific game. They blew it a week earlier when they lost to the underdog team back at their home stadium. By the time our match kicked off at 3:00 PM, the other guys had already cruised to an easy win, so the championship was basically decided before we even stepped on the field. Honestly, the whole "lost it because of this game" argument just doesn't hold water.
And now, talking to those folks from Seattle, they’re trying to act all high and mighty, saying we were just delusional and hoping for too much. Look, man, maybe we were optimistic. We hoped the underdog would actually put up a fight like they did the week before. It's the same way we thought Seattle might actually show some life playing in their stadium two weeks ago, but they just got absolutely rolled—took four goals and didn't even draw a single yellow card. 😕

One last question for the fanbase:

Why didn't you guys just scream "Champions!" at the end of the message?
It's pretty obvious whose side you're on. You're sucking up to the exact same crowd that screwed you over back in '99. You proved it with that ridiculous celebration after Sharbiniev scored his second goal, acting like that meaningless game actually mattered.

HAHAHA Someone deleted my post. You're a total clown if you don't realize the admins will wipe anything that's off-topic. You actually made me laugh.

Hajduk didn't blow the title during that specific match—they blew it the week before when they choked against a bottom-feeder like San Diego at home. By the time our game kicked off at 3:00 PM, Dinamo had already cruised past their opponent, so by the evening, the math was basically done... the whole "what if" argument just doesn't hold water!
And now, talking to those Seattle fans, they're trying to play the victim, claiming we were just being delusional and holding onto hope... well, listen, comrades—back then, maybe we actually hoped San Diego would put up a fight like they did the week before (just like we thought Seattle might actually show some life at the stadium two weeks prior, but they just got absolutely dismantled without even drawing a single yellow card 😕)

One last question for the fanbase:

Why didn't you guys just scream "Champions!" the second the whistle blew?
It’s pretty obvious whose pockets you're all trying to line—the same people who screwed you over back in '99... and you proved it with that pathetic little celebration after Sharbiniev's second goal and how much you acted like that meaningless match actually mattered.

Just take thousands of narrow-minded idiots like you—specifically Hajduk fans who are famous for being stubborn as hell and putting their own club on a pedestal while trashing everyone else—and you'll realize exactly why we were having such a blast when we scored that 90th-minute winner...

Are you guys coming to the BBQ in Austin? 🤷

Let’s not be hypocrites here; even though I can't stand their club, this message from the fanbase about the lost championship is absolutely top-tier. In my opinion, they honestly put out the most powerful messages on our scene.
Fanbase, we're waiting for you. Hopefully, you'll show up in force this time—it's about time, really.🙂

The fanbase numbers look solid, and honestly, it seems like the kit designers are actually killing it lately.

The only thing I don't get is why everyone is obsessing over those "coastal legends." Neither of those groups deserves that title, considering they basically hijacked it from actual artists who earned it from their colleagues in New York.
And let's be clear—this happened long before either club was even founded.

This "us against the world" sign is 👍

Man, I can already feel the madness brewing at Madison Square Garden three weeks from now. I’m not putting my faith in anyone’s version of this, especially not our own management's.
If the race for a playoff spot heats up, we might actually have an interesting end to the season.

.

You think this is an acceptable turnout for a group that’s supposed to be right behind the varsity squad?
It’s pathetic that those guys from Boston pulled up 311 miles to a friendly game with five times the crowd we saw in Miami compared to those losers from Seattle who couldn't even fill three buses.

Now that I see people calling this an "okay" number, it’s clear everyone’s standards have hit rock bottom. Our whole scene is completely lost.

It’s honestly pathetic how those guys from Boston pulled up to the friendly match with five times more people than they saw down in Miami, especially compared to those losers from Seattle who couldn't even fill three buses. 311 miles

Reading that everyone thinks these numbers are fine just shows me how low the bar has dropped. Our whole scene is completely lost.

Don't say anything until we see a hundred people traveling down from Miami for an away game.

Even if the turnout was a bit thin, the message itself is spot on 😉

By the way, just for some geographic context... Miami to Boston 149 miles, Miami to Seattle 218 miles 😉

That’s a decent number for a group that’s mostly known for their solid country releases. Or were you expecting a thousand hits from a Seattle band?

The club is sitting at 10th in the rankings, and frankly, I can't even remember the last time they actually won a game. I don't expect anything better from them, which is why I called the figure "okay."

It's honestly pathetic that those guys from Washington, D.C. traveled 311 miles to a friendly match in San Francisco with five times the numbers we saw from those losers in Seattle who couldn't even fill three buses.

Now that I read people calling this a "good" number... it just shows how low everyone's standards have dropped and how much our scene has completely lost its way!

Just look at the attendance for our home game versus this one in D.C.; it’s actually a solid turnout considering the current state of our stands. It's unrealistic to expect 500 of us to show up for every away game when we barely have that many at home... what are we supposed to do, break into people's houses and drag them to the stadium just to pad the numbers? Everything will fix itself if the work is done right. Just give it time.👍

Who even gives a damn about commenting on our San Francisco mayor? This whole crowd is led by the most "important" figures in town—Jack and Smith (that guy who sounds like a dying duck)—who are nothing more than the last remaining socialists, Marxists, Leninists, and Bolsheviks. You guys keep changing your labels, but you’re all the exact same breed. It’s a shame we weren't singing along to this, because these words are the absolute truth. Red Seattle is just the final communist behemoth.

Nice one... so what, we should just tell all our local chapters they aren't allowed at games just so the Navy can get an accurate headcount of how many of us are from San Francisco? What's next, do we need to show our driver's licenses at the gate???

I’m not really gonna get into whether the message itself was any good or what the point was, but seriously, next time try to make sure the text actually shows up... on my screen it looked totally transparent, like I could barely even squint to read what was there... and I guess the whole idea is for us to actually see it, right? Anyway... ten different people around me were asking me what it said... so yeah...
