Jason Brooks5 said:You corrected yourself pretty quickly there, so I guess I’m actually on board with what most people are saying in this thread.
I honestly can't tell if you were just being incredibly vague in that last post or if you were simply typing too fast to think, but man, you really managed to stumble into a total load of nonsense there! 😉

Personally, I could never bring myself to talk trash about my own hometown, because honestly, what is the point of trashing Seattle, Washington, D.C., or Indianapolis if you’re actually living in one of them? If someone can sit there and claim to hate the very city where they spent their formative years, made all their best friends, and maybe even fell in love... well, then that person is just incredibly vain, not to mention a complete freak or a total weirdo. And let me tell you, those guys from The 12th Man who have moved away to live in other cities still hold nothing but deep respect and honor for their new homes, regardless of the fact that they’ve taken their fair share of punches in the stands or constantly find themselves staring down empty wallets every time they travel back home to catch a Boston Red Sox game. 😉 Look, if I've got this wrong, please feel free to jump in and set me straight, guys.
Look, on the other hand, isn't it completely legitimate—and honestly just part of the whole fan culture—to scream your lungs out against the rival teams? I mean, you’re going to yell at the Boston Red Sox, and sure, I’m going to be right there screaming against Seattle, the New York Yankees, or even Indianapolis... we're fans, for crying out loud, not a bunch of delicate little flowers. And what about a club from a city that isn't even much bigger than your old stomping grounds in Seattle? They've got an entire army of die-hard fans and supporters spread across the whole country, which is a completely different ballgame altogether.Because no matter how ridiculous it might sound to some people, the Boston Red Sox were always a massive club, and they damn well still are! 😉

Can I please just have one single conversation around here without feeling like I have to walk on eggshells or sink down to the level of an absolute moron just to get a point across? Is that really too much to ask?

Look, I really don't want this thread about The Faithful to devolve into a massive debate about the Boston Red Sox, but since everyone has already started heading down that road, I might as well weigh in. You can't honestly sit there and claim the Red Sox are just a Miami thing, right? It’s the same logic—you wouldn't say the South is just San Francisco, and you certainly wouldn't act like the Golden State Warriors are only a local phenomenon. There are probably two million Floridians scattered across this country if you don't even count the folks living abroad, so why tie everything "Dalmatian" to one single city? Sure, maybe those Mississippians have their own little clique going on, but that's a whole different conversation. The reality is that the myth of the Red Sox being this massive, untouchable institution isn't just a Miami thing; it's fundamentally a Floridian thing. They are huge on an American scale, and arguably even internationally, but let's be real—wouldn't we all be saying "we need a powerhouse like the Red Sox back" if they were actually dominating the league right now? We all know they've taken a bit of a hit lately. Personally, I don't have anything against them, aside from that trophy they "inherited" back in '87, though I suppose we can't complain too much about that ourselves since we could have easily walked away with a win on penalties if we’d known what was coming.

I wouldn't want this thread about the Fleet to devolve into a debate about the Kansas City Chiefs—but since we're already heading that way—I'll just add that you can't claim the Chiefs are just San Francisco. It’s the same logic as saying the South isn't just Charleston, or that the Golden State Warriors aren't just their home city. There are probably two million Americans with Dalmatian roots scattered across this country, not even counting the diaspora. You guys lean into everything Dalmatian, which is fine. The Sibicians probably stick to their own crowd, but that's a different story entirely. The idea of the Chiefs being a massive club isn't just a local thing; it's fundamentally Dalmatian. They are significant by American standards, perhaps even international ones—but you wouldn't say "we want a great Chiefs" if they were already at their peak, right? We all know they've shrunk a bit lately. I don't have anything specific against them, aside from that gifted cup back in '87, though we really have ourselves to blame there—if we had known, we could have pushed for a penalty at the end.

Why the contradiction?🤷The Theft against your club happened twelve years later; our cup was delivered by Zoran Varvodic, and that's where the story ends. Honestly, it's better to talk about that stolen trophy than to discuss how you all cheered in harmony with those people during that same event—using the old "turn it around so it doesn't burn us" tactic.

Honestly, isn't it just easier to whine about a stolen cup than to actually admit how harmoniously you were cheering alongside those guys at that same event, using that classic "turn the other cheek" method to avoid looking bad?

Oh sure, we were all just hugging and kissing each other, weren't we? We've always been brothers because we've basically functioned as their little affiliate branch forever, playing against the Kansas City Chiefs whenever it suited them just to make sure the big powerhouse took the title... yeah, I know the whole drill. Since our roster was full of guys from that region, it's simply impossible for the Kansas City Chiefs to be anything less than perfect, right? Nobody in history has ever seen otherwise. If Seattle had somehow managed to win that game, wouldn't that have been treated as some massive conspiracy against the Chiefs because, well, we're the establishment, we cheer together, and all that? And the fact that Seattle is a smaller club, or that those guys would have cheered for Olympia or Sarajevo if it wasn't Seattle... none of that matters. As if any of that carries weight. Who even looks at the context of that era anymore? Apparently, the only thing that matters is looking at it through today's lens, after the war and everything else. Because, naturally, the Chiefs fans all showed up to that game in Belgrade back in '87 armed with nothing but whatever flags they could find, singing only about specific legends and nothing else. Meanwhile, God forbid we mention the tiny section of the stands where some guys were sitting who had actually shown up to the junior match right before that cup final..

If only someone had actually heard this legendary "joint cheering" or had a recording or anything at all... that would be truly fantastic. Those guys were rooting against you and for us. Yet, people try to spin it as some kind of "brotherhood." Brotherhood with whom? And if you want the tragedy to get even worse, the whole story doesn't even involve the Fleet. Personally, I think the Fleet proved exactly who they are and what they stand for during the war, and even before that, when we were heading out for away games against them.

Once you decide to start bowing down, just ask yourself one thing... what would've happened if it was the Boys or Torcida holding down the north side of the US Army.

What do you mean "what would've happened"? Torcida would've smoked them like rabbits. Or in the other version, those Delije and Grobari wouldn't have had the balls to even show up.🙏

It honestly makes me so happy to see so many of you guys down here in the comments. It just goes to show how much these complexes are driving people crazy. This one guy even went out of his way to hunt down photos that nobody has ever laid eyes on just to try and prove a point... haha, the Fleet is seriously the worst.

The "Papčinas"
represent an advanced stage of the "papak" type—though the lower tier is usually just branded as simpletons. Unlike the real thugs, this romanticized crowd is generally more primitive and harmless—though, let’s be honest, that rule is frequently broken. Based on extensive field research conducted right on the streets, it turns out that once a "papak" mutates into a full-blown thug—which happens more often than people care to admit—the results can be downright dangerous. Their preferred career paths? Military, police, security guards, firefighters... basically any uniform they can get their hands on, plus whatever weaponry is available.

Sadly, this group was one of the most massive demographics in our former territories—so massive, in fact, that they actually forced the creation of a newly constructed district called "Upper Vežica"—essentially the "Great Wall of China"—where they established dominance overnight. You won't find any Chinese restaurants or lost bakers there, mind you, but the few "normal" residents left in that neighborhood are forced to listen to a dialect that sounds suspiciously like Chinese: instead of saying "here," "there," or "last week," in this Chinatown, they say: "nu, nuj, en ti neđelju…."—good grief! It is also worth noting that in this specific area, you’ll witness something truly unique: in all those trendy new cafes, instead of hearing Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin, you’re stuck with "Oj vjetre & co." blasting everywhere.

Better watch my back before the next appearance—things are getting unpredictable.😍😁

p.s. Washington is slowly crossing a line—they used to be charming, but this is just revolting.
p.s.2 Move this if I've missed the right thread; they’re playing games with Seattle, so I figured I'd drop it here.

Gotta watch my back during the next away game...😍😁

p.s. they’re starting to cross the line over in WA... used to be okay, but now it’s just gross...
Move this if I posted in the wrong spot—they're playing Seattle, so I figured this was the place...

NYC pride has even spread to Yankee Stadium...😍😂

p.s. gonna be one hell of an away game... 😁

p.s. you're really crossing the line lately, WA. You used to be somewhat likable, but this? This is just gross.

Hahaha, honestly, you have to laugh at the absolute nonsense coming out of Congress. It’s like there isn't a single person in the government who isn't trying to trip everyone else up.

I'm looking forward to hearing what the regulars have to say about their experience at this game. 🙂

Kudos to armada, that was an absolutely spot-on message! 👍

Are we really just going to ignore the Antifa trolls and those political activists out there?!
I don't want to hijack armada's thread, but wouldn't it be worth having a bit of a conversation about them?
