Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a repair shop that actually knows what they're doing with this kind of work?
I'm really hoping to find somewhere that won't absolutely fleece me for every cent I have, because, you know,
this laptop is worth about $2333, and I'd much rather not risk any catastrophic hardware failure or just losing the whole thing entirely...
It’s only about a year and a half old, so it's still relatively fresh,

Any well-known repair shop could handle this without breaking a sweat—think CNN, Yahoo, or even some of those big tech specialists...

Disk-based Systems service, I think they're over on Canadian Street, near the British place.
A buddy and I both had our ultrabooks cleaned twice and everything turned out fine. I think it was $40 or something like that

It’s just a few stops west of Times Square. Getting there via public transit is easy enough. If you've got a better way, let me know.
