Plus, the movie itself doesn't look great. But hey, with how much they're pushing her, she might end up snagging a statue (probably Hudsonica for Aretha).

Once that girl from the Crown series picked up an Emmy for her role as Princess Diana, there's just no way Stewartica is winning anything.

I'm guessing this movie is going to be a total box-office bomb.

A new trailer just dropped, and I guess it looks like Elizabeth might be playing the villain this time around.

Kristen Stewart is basically a lock for an Oscar with this role.

I'm with you—that second trailer looks even worse. I don't get why all the film critics and internet snobs are hyping this role up so much.

On the flip side, Elizabeth looks great as the Queen. Not quite Mirren-style, but she totally outshines Stewartica.🙏

I don’t really know what kind of facial expressions people are looking for here, but I mean, even Diana didn't have a ton of them to begin with, right?
Honestly, I actually like that she isn't overacting. If anything bothers me, it would be that—but it doesn't. Like, for example,

A pretty tedious film—uninspired plot, really—but Kristen delivers an Oscar-worthy performance; she disappears into the role so completely you'll forget it's even her.

I couldn't even make it halfway through this thing. I’ve given Kristen a pass on her other flops before, but here? She is overacting to a ridiculous degree. Everything is turned into some massive drama; it’s just pure, unadulterated patheticism. It was painful. And what is even going on with her voice?
She’s completely lost that warmth and charm the original Diana used to have, I guess.

The rest of the cast isn't any better—just a bunch of wooden, lifeless characters.

I used to just remember her as some burnt-out teenager from some random, forgettable show. But man, how she absolutely crushed the role of Diana... hats off. Honestly, without her, there’s no movie; everything just revolves around her headspace, which is probably why a lot of people will find the whole thing unwatchable. Don't fall for my own biases here. This performance proves just how talented she really is, regardless of whatever version of Princess Diana you've got stuck in your head. In my book—and it seems like people who actually knew Diana would agree—this is the closest anyone has ever come to capturing her essence. For the movie itself? Maybe a 4/10. But for her? A solid 9/10. She nailed the accent, the mannerisms... basically everything about her during those unstable years.

First movie in forever that I actually couldn't finish because it was just too much to handle mentally. 🙄

I didn't even finish watching this movie...

It feels incredibly drawn out, dark, and depressing, topped off with a soundtrack that sounds like a funeral march. While the 2013 film Diana wasn't exactly a masterpiece, at least it portrayed Diana as an unhappy yet relatable woman. This version, however, fluctuates wildly between depicting her as a spoiled child, someone with special needs, or someone mentally unstable. It all feels quite bizarre and surreal.

This film is a total downer, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone sensitive.

To me, Kristen is an outstanding actress—she has charisma and she's believable. That's true talent. I won't get into the technicalities since I'm no expert, 😬
and I'm not even basing this on twilight, which, to be fair, I haven't actually watched.
