Transformers: Age of Extinction (2018)

Transformers: Age of Extinction is the upcoming sci-fi monster flick serving as the sequel to the original Pacific Rim (2013).

In the first installment, massive monsters (Kaiju) launch an assault on the country via a portal tucked away under the Pacific Ocean. Naturally, humanity's solution was building massive robots—Jaegers—piloted by pairs of drivers to fend off the beasts. They managed to shut down the portal back then, but apparently, that wasn't enough to call it a day.

To feels more like Transformers... at least based on what we've seen in the trailers. I’m just not getting that sense of weight or the sheer mass you expect from a Jaeger.

So, I’m honestly expecting the sequel to be even more explosive, aggressive, grotesque, empty, absurd, and just plain mindless.

I actually feel the exact opposite! I thought Pacific Rim was such a blast and a really pleasant surprise, but I just can't stand Transformers. I'll definitely be checking out the sequel.

To me, Pacific Rim is really just a collection of aggressive, high-quality special effects. That’s honestly the only reason I’m giving it any credit at all, so I'd say it's a 2/10.

Look, I’m not some film critic who sits around overanalyzing every frame. It’s pretty simple for me: I either love it or I don't. But the first one? That was a blast. I actually dug the first movie, but looking at these trailers, this sequel looks like an absolute train wreck.

It’s completely missing the vibe of the original, and honestly, that terrible music is totally killing the mood for me—it feels nothing like the soundtrack from the first film.👎

Man, this poster is just... it's uninspired. It’s giving me nothing. Honestly, just looking at it tells me everything I need to know. There is zero chance I’m stepping foot into an AMC Theatres without reading a single review first. ☕

The first flick was a blast, so I’m expecting the same vibe from the second one. Nothing more, nothing less.

Kids just aren't what they used to be—honestly, not even close. Not that long ago, a 12 or 13-year-old would head straight to the comic book shop after school, but nowadays...

Strange. It’s not playing at AMC Theatres, yet some local theater over in Scranton has it starting tomorrow.

I'm heading to AMC Theatres tomorrow to catch it. They don't have it at my local spot, no clue why.

AMC Theatres isn't showing Universal Pictures movies anymore! 👎

So they aren't going to show hits like Jurassic Park, Fast & Furious, or Despicable Me that actually pull in the cash. Idiots.
