W.A.S.P.

I’m leaning more towards Amp Fiddler. W.A.S.P. had a killer rhythm section, but they’re missing a frontman who can actually pivot from soulful vibes to those funky acrobatics. Their singer feels stuck somewhere mediocre in the middle. Respect to the bassist, though—he knows how to lock in a groove and gives the tracks that danceable edge. Overall, solid funk, but they aren't hitting my top tier.

W.A.S.P. is pure perfection.
They’re the band that really got me hooked on metal—at least in my experience—so there’s definitely a heavy dose of nostalgia involved here. Still, listening to them is always a trip; every time I drop the needle on The Headless Children, it just brings a certain warmth back to my soul...
...just that classic, top-tier heavy metal at its absolute finest.🙏

I have to correct you on that one. Forever Free isn't actually dedicated to Blackie's mother; it was written for a girl he loved who died in a motorcycle accident.

Back in 1989, when that album first dropped, Blackie sat down and went through the tracklist song by song, breaking down exactly what everything was about and the deeper meaning behind the lyrics. He did this whole deep dive in an issue of Rolling Stone. God, the nostalgia hits hard just thinking about it.

Man, back in high school, there was this one guy who was basically covered in W.A.S.P. stickers from head to toe, while I was still stuck listening to Springstin and stuff... back then, I used to look at him with such suspicion and total confusion, probably because I had no clue just how much I didn't know. 😕
Later on, once I finally had my own little epiphany about the music, all I could do was look at him like: 🙏 🙏 🙏
