Does anyone happen to know what the going rate is for a pound of pastries over in Kansas City?

At Heartland, all the cookies are sold $25 by the pound, though they calculate cakes $3.25 by the slice if they have whipped cream frosting, or otherwise based on their specific recipes $4.00 regardless of the flavor profile; however, she even lowers the price if you're ordering a cake for more than 100 guests, which is what she quoted my niece for a cake serving 170 people $500 (the whipped cream variety), and the woman mentioned that for individual pastry boxes you'll need about 9 to 11 ounces, whereas for a large reception hall, 15 to 18 ounces is sufficient because her wedding dessert selection only includes about 15% dry pastries, and since these creamy desserts are much heavier—which makes perfect sense—it’s a better balance, after all, who really wants just plain cookies at a wedding when she specializes in these exquisite, creamy delights where every piece with cream is sliced multiple times so that the cream layer isn't overly thick, but rather elegantly spread through the pastry... we are truly delighted with them, and honestly, given the quality, the pricing is quite surprisingly reasonable

Found some cookies... check out this price $22/lb, and I'm right in downtown San Francisco... honestly, they're amazing. I still have some cake left over, too. I'm not even sure what flavor it is... any ideas? Maybe chocolate or almond... what do you guys think?

Mus Musicians from Columbus. Best pastries ever—30% are super dry, but the rest are sooo moist. $20/kg. They deliver to NYC! 🙏 I tried their mini cakes at a wedding expo and they were incredible! I’ll probably get them for my own wedding, though they’ll have to ship them all the way to Pittsburgh 😁

Oh my gosh, thank you so much, I seriously never would have tracked that down on my own!! But get this—we actually stopped by that small house bakery yesterday and I am totally obsessed, it was exactly what I was hunting for, and then we wandered over to Fifth Avenue to sample some cakes too and honestly, I couldn't decide because they were all so incredible, so we're definitely just going to grab theirs. Though I gotta say, that hearty option sounds absolutely amazing and looks delicious too!

How many cookies are actually in that little cookie shop?
Btw, I didn't see anything mentioned about needing an appointment for a hearty meal, and man, I showed up last week only to find the doors locked tight. 🙄 Now I have to give them a call just to try and schedule something...

Hello! Please, I am begging you—don't make me dig through every single massive thread on this forum trying to find an answer... I desperately need some help here.
I honestly don't even know where to start my search. I’m getting married in Savannah soon, and I need someone who makes absolutely incredible finger foods for the dessert table, little gift boxes for the guests, and, of course, a stunning wedding cake. Ideally, I’d love someone based right in or around Savannah. I’ve heard from so many people that there are talented local bakers out there who make divine pastries and cakes (all fully licensed and insured, of course), but for some reason, nobody has been able to give me a specific name or a contact number. So, if anyone is from the Savannah area or nearby, could you please do me a huge favor and pass along a recommendation for a great baker or cake designer? Thank you so much!

Jose Foster38 I can't speak for Savannah, but I do know that Ms. Horvat over at www.slatka-tajna.com delivers cakes and pastries all the way out there.

Check out one of her cakes—bottom layer is Black Forest, while the top two are walnut and parfait, custom-made. And yeah, those flowers on top are actually fresh.

My folks were dead set on a cake exactly like this one, complete with a fountain right in the middle
