It’s incredibly frustrating how my hormones act like everything is some massive tragedy... I’ve just been breaking down in tears over nothing for the last few days😢. I rarely cry, and I’m definitely not one to sit around moping, so this feels completely out of character.
Plus, it drives me crazy that my husband doesn't get it.😠

I’m honestly starting to get on my own nerves because I still haven't pulled the trigger on anything, even though I have a pretty clear idea of what I want
It’s not like I’m being superstitious or anything, but it feels like I’m actually afraid to make the purchase. It’s like I need to break through this mental barrier first
I just keep putting it off—it's always "I'll do it after this checkup," then "okay, maybe after the next one..."
What the ??? I’m actually scaring myself here... I really am my own worst enemy

I find this incredibly frustrating too—mostly because I can't stand my own mood swings. Just yesterday, I found myself tearing up while watching a documentary about breastfeeding on Netflix 🙄 because seeing those babies was just so moving, and I started imagining what mine will be like and just lost it.🙄
And honestly, even if it sounds a bit silly, I’m not usually the type of person who obsesses over other people's children or gets overly sentimental about infants... but now, I'm just a mess. The second I see a baby, I start crying from how touching it is.🙄

Plus, it's getting aggravating because I'm starting to have panic attacks (racing heart, shortness of breath, etc.) whenever I realize how little time is left until delivery and everything that follows—it's genuinely terrifying!😲
Then, out of nowhere, I'll hit a wave of pure euphoria and find myself counting down the days.😍

My husband is certainly having his hands full with me.😁

I suppose it’s my turn to share something that caught me off guard.

To be honest, I’ve been feeling a bit lightheaded—or maybe just incredibly weak—while standing up. It seems she prefers it when I stay upright, but it’s definitely not doing much for me.🙄
Yesterday, I happened to glance out the window and saw my husband chatting with some woman over the fence. She probably lives around here in our small town, though I haven't met her before.
She was attractive, and in that first split second when I spotted them, I felt this sudden, sharp pang of jealousy. It was enough to make the little one kick—and quite hard, too.

I think they were just talking about work; I could have overheard the details in a moment if I had tried. But that initial flash... I was just jealous. It was intense enough that even the baby started acting up in my womb.

I wouldn't call myself a jealous person, normally. I really don't know what came over me yesterday.

God, people and their incredibly stupid comments drive me absolutely insane 😠
I’m just sitting here in the dentist's waiting room when this old guy asks me how much longer I've got left. I give him a little "get lost" grin and tell him I've still got 25 days to go, and he just hits me with, "Well, as long as it's healthy, unlike those two babies back in Washington, D.C. the other day." 😲 😲 😲
What the ??? Like, seriously???? You absolute moron, you complete idiot!!!!!!!! 🙂 If you don't have anything remotely intelligent to contribute to the conversation, then you really don't need to be dumping your depressing little takes on me 🙂

Which babies? 😕 I honestly have no clue

Honestly, people can be so incredibly rude

I was actually just talking to my husband yesterday about how I don't get why some people still act like being female is somehow less valuable—as if having a boy makes any difference 😕
In what way would my son be more precious than my daughter??? 😕 Just because he's male???
And who is going to give him children? Someone else's daughter, who will probably end up hearing the exact same thing: "Oh, well, hopefully it's a boy next time!"
But she'll be fine if she gives birth to a son, right?

I guess these kinds of mindsets just really grate on me. Without women, there wouldn't even be men, so I truly don't see how women could ever be considered "lesser"
We should be treated with such care, especially when we're pregnant—especially now, given how many women deal with infertility and all the complications that require extra caution during pregnancy.

Look, I'm not saying I love being pregnant, but I am grateful that I can carry my baby naturally without facing any major hurdles.
But clearly, even that seems to be taken for granted in our society.

Fortunately, nobody has had the nerve to say anything negative about me carrying this little girl. If they had, I would have slapped them right in their face. Honestly, reading all the nonsense people post makes my skin crawl. I’ve been feeling incredibly combative the last few days...😠

Michael Barrett11 honestly, Jeremy Thomas5 is spot on; you're probably better off not knowing 😘

And all those tired clichés about how "as long as he's healthy and masculine" matters most... 😠 unfortunately, that Neanderthal mindset is so deeply baked into our culture here that it’s basically 🤮
Look, I’m not some hardcore feminist or anything, but I can say with total conviction that even though women are basically running the world these days, we still get pushed to the sidelines far too often.
Actually, if you ask me, this whole dynamic started ages ago because some clever guys realized they could manipulate us if they didn't just wipe us out or crush us right from the jump. And well, that mentality has somehow survived all the way to the modern day, especially in places like 😳
The truth is, we’re superior in every single way. 🙏

I really did get lucky, though, because my man wanted a girl even more than I wanted him, 🙂 and most of my family was practically begging for a little girl anyway. 😍

It honestly caught me off guard when my husband’s cousin—who had her son about two years ago—mentioned how incredibly happy she was to finally have a boy, especially since she didn't even know the gender during the pregnancy. She made it sound like such a massive weight had been lifted off her shoulders
I couldn't help but be a bit stunned by it, though. It’s strange to see someone who is a woman lean so heavily into that kind of chauvinistic mindset

I mean, I’ll be happy regardless if I have a son (it’s not like I’d be miserable), even though I’m really crossing my fingers for a girl.😍
My husband says it doesn't matter to him, and honestly, I truly believe he means it.

I am absolutely tormented by these headaches; they hit me every single day, starting from high noon and dragging on all the way until I finally pass out at night... and because I can't bring myself to just pop some pills, I have to sit there and suffer through it... sometimes it gets so bad that I can't even keep my head up over my textbooks before I end up face-planting right onto my desk 🙂

Honestly, I’ve had a pounding headache for the last few days too, starting the second I roll out of bed in the morning and lasting right up until I hit the pillow😕 I feel absolutely terrible!!!
And look, I really need to get this over with; I still have one oral exam left to pass and then one more massive final☕ I’m crossing my fingers that I can knock these out within the next six months, so I can finally focus on my thesis and start picking out cute little things for the baby🙂

Ugh, those primitive stereotypes—firstly, because "he's a boy"—I don't even want to go there...
It honestly drives me insane when I think back to how someone once told me we absolutely had to throw this massive, over-the-top baptism party just because he’s a boy 😠😠😠😠😠

But you know what? In one ear and out the other—I am really not going to waste my energy stressing over such backward thinking 😁

On a completely different note, I am so frustrated right now because I can't stop snacking—I am literally just eating everything in sight and I can't seem to find any willpower 🙂

It drives me absolutely insane how I can’t stop hyper-fixating on every single tiny sensation in my body, constantly terrified that it’s some ominous warning sign...😠

To be specific, I finally dealt with nausea three days ago (6 weeks in). It lasted for three full days, hitting me at different intensities and at all hours of the day.

Today, the nausea vanished—but instead, I am ravenously hungry and currently demolishing a red onion 🤦 and I'm spiraling, convinced this means I've had a miscarriage. Instead of actually being relieved that there hasn't been any spotting for two days, I'm just panicking. 😠

It’s not even that they annoy me anymore—they’re driving me freaking insane. Heartburn from basically everything I touch.
Plus my hair is a mess 😲—I’ve gone through like ten different clips in the last forty-eight hours alone. Since I couldn't find anything else useful, I ended up grabbing this random thing from Target and now I'm stuck wearing this monstrosity on my head. If it turns out to be some cheap green garbage, I might actually lose it. 😠

It’s driving me crazy—my digestion is totally trashed, but I literally can't stop eating chocolate even though it makes everything ten times worse. 🙄

It’s honestly getting under my skin. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, my husband’s sister and her husband have suddenly become staples in our lives. We live in different cities, yet they’re constantly reaching out and making trips to see us. Since she already has three kids of her own, I guess we’re finally "equals" in their eyes now? Personally, I feel like I haven't changed one bit from being a non-pregnant person to this.
By the way, she’s been relentless lately with those intrusive questions like, "So, when are you guys having more?" We just shut those down every single time because, honestly, there's no rush—my husband is turning 34 soon and I'm 31.

And then there's the constant commentary on my bump. Last time we saw them, she couldn't take her eyes off it; she was staring so intensely I actually had to tug my shirt down and say, "Okay, fine, look all you want!"
They’re swinging by today for some business in town, and if I weren't pregnant, I’m pretty sure they wouldn't bother stopping by at all. It’s sweet of them, I suppose, but I feel like a circus freak being put on display.
...So, I’ve decided I’m wearing something oversized today specifically to dodge any talk about the belly.
...And frankly, just because I’m pregnant doesn't mean I want my entire existence to revolve around pregnancy and kids every time we talk. (Is this post even relevant for the non-parents here? haha)

On a side note, regarding gendered comments—they really don't need to exist.
I’ve carried two girls so far and haven't dealt with any mindless remarks yet, but if someone decides to be rude, trust me, I won't be staying quiet.
I am just so over people acting like they have a free pass to comment on my life whenever they feel like it.

Also, a little health vent: it's driving me crazy that I've developed these tiny broken capillaries on the left side of my stomach. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone else dealing with that.

Honestly, I’m not really out here trying to get under anyone's skin, but if I am, it’s purely intentional—just a little bit of spite 😂😂
. I know I can be a bit of a troublemaker... I find myself telling everyone that I’m definitely having a girl. I’ve even started talking to my belly as if it’s already a daughter, mostly because I have this nagging feeling that deep down, everyone is secretly rooting for a boy. Now, nobody has ever actually said that to my face, but I just know it based on my own family history. For instance, my mom has two daughters, and she was always so incredibly desperate for a son. To be fair to her, it wasn't even about thinking boys were better; she just genuinely believed life would be easier for them. Her grandkids are already playing with their cousins, and I think she’s just eyeing another grandson to round things out. Plus, since there are only women in my family tree, I feel like everyone is collectively hoping for a boy to break the streak. So, to stay one step ahead, I just tell everyone it’s going to be a girl and leave it at that. Truthfully, I’d love to have a little girl, but of course, a boy would be just as wonderful 😍

MY MOTHER-IN-LAW
Honestly, she gets under my skin so much that my blood pressure actually spiked yesterday... It’s just wild because she wasn't even here for a week, and things were going so smoothly—the only thing I really noticed was that I put on a few pounds while she was visiting! But the second she stepped back through the door, all my issues came rushing right back. Even my husband commented on it yesterday, pointing out how my pressure shot up because he knows I just can't stand being around her... I honestly just burst out laughing and told him, "Fine, just send her back to her own folks and I'll be perfectly fine"................
