People have actually started getting on my nerves with comments about how my belly shape means I'm carrying a boy. 🙄

Yeah, right. Like whether it's a boy or a girl has anything at all to do with how my stomach looks. 🤦

Honestly, if I could just carry a girl just to spite them, I totally would. 👋

It’s also bothering me that my swelling is so localized, and the veins down lower are 😲 😲 😲 just awful... hopefully everything goes back to normal after I give birth.

She actually had the nerve to look at me and go, "Ooh, let me see my little chunky girl."
Honestly, she can just go jump in the trash! Like, what the hell is her problem?!!!
I’m not "chunky," I’m pregnant. For the record, I’m 140 lbs and 5'5", so if I wasn't expecting, those extra pounds wouldn't even make me "chunky."
If there hadn't been a crowd watching, I wouldn't have stayed polite. I would've shut her down right then and there by saying, "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant."
But obviously, I’ve got way more class and basic decency than she does...

People are just so incredibly stupid. Even if I were 220 lbs, you don't call a pregnant woman "chunky." It's common sense. Plus, I'm already feeling super sensitive about my weight right now, so this really stung...

There are a million better ways to bring something up without being a total jerk...

Literally the exact same thing happened at my office last week! Honestly, I don't think it's rude or anything to call people out when they cross the line. I told two people straight up, I'm not fat, I'm pregnant, and one person got super awkward while the other one just stared at me with this huge look on her face and went, Wait, really? Look how big your stomach is! Hahaha!

Yeah, hilarious... I'm totally "fat"... it's just all those burgers, fries, and pizza I've been eating lately! 😵

Seriously though, those comments are so annoying!

And oh my god, another thing that drives me absolutely insane is that someone in my apartment building—living on one of the upper floors—throws trash out their window every single day 😠 and then when I look out at our beautiful local park, all I see is their junk. It just ruins the view and makes me so mad! Ugh, some people are just so uncultured! 🙂 🙂

I’ve been feeling pretty frustrated today because my stomach is acting up.🙄 It’s this constant stinging and cramping—just a general, uncomfortable ache. I keep telling myself it’s probably just a sign the baby is growing, but it’s got me running to the bathroom constantly, checking to make sure there isn't any bleeding. 🤦

Honestly, my bladder is driving me absolutely insane lately 😠 It’s constant—sometimes it’s just a few drops, sometimes it feels like a full load, and other times it’s just this intense, heavy pressure down low.
I can’t even go anywhere without mentally mapping out every single restroom in the building just in case I need to run. 😁
Plus, these stretch marks on my legs are getting on my nerves. I feel like I’m the only person ever to get them there instead of on my stomach—though hey, I guess I still have some time before that becomes an issue 😱... it’s honestly such a drag having to deal with it during a checkup when I have to get undressed 😁 because, let’s be real, the inside of those marks looks pretty rough 😲

And now, out of nowhere, I’ve developed this weird obsession that I’m going to go into labor before I even have a chance to wash my hair and get a proper wax.

I basically went scorched earth with my neighbors and close friends regarding the whole weight topic, and now? Nobody dares to utter a word about it.
I still catch people making jabs, too—like my mother-in-law, who will make these venomous little remarks about how overweight I am.
So, one time, in front of a whole crowd, I absolutely tore into her; she was so stunned she didn't even know how to respond—she just stammered, "Well, I think it looks nice."
Fine, you think it's "nice," but keep your mouth shut and stop throwing these "compliments" my way—especially since they aren't pleasant for me to hear. And that was it; ever since then, total silence. No one says a thing. 😁

For example, mine. I don't even know where to start with this one. Just... wow. Everything? Really? Is that all we're doing now—just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks? It’s getting exhausting, honestly. Does anyone actually believe this works, or are we all just pretending? Total mess. So she actually had the nerve to make some nasty comment about how fat I am? Seriously?
So then I read her the fine print right in front of a massive crowd—she just froze. Didn't have a single thing to say. She just kept stammering, "Well, I think it's nice." Seriously?.
Look, have a nice life or whatever—just keep your mouth shut. Don't come at me with those fake "compliments," especially since I don't want to hear them. Period. And just like that, everyone goes dead silent. Not a single comment. 😁
Just another bunch of liars—kind of like my own folks. Does yours carry at least 60 pounds of extra baggage too, by the way? 🤣
Back to the topic—those strollers pissed me off again today. I thought I’d finally made up my mind, too. I was sure. But then I spotted another Unknown that actually looked... maybe? 🙄 Honestly, if someone would just grab me a damn dolly and drop it off, we’d be done—problem solved, case closed. That’s all I need. Instead, I’m just sitting here getting worked up over nothing. Why do I even bother?

No extra weight here—physically, she's fit enough—but there is certainly a surplus or a deficit happening up there in her head. I see right through it all; her partner is her only child, she's a single mother, and now with this baby on the way, she's caught in this endless loop of playing both grandmother and mother to herself—but she can't mess with me, that's for sure!

And this whole business with the strollers and gear? It’s driving me up the wall, especially since certain people promised they would lend or give me stuff, and now I’m just sitting here waiting while everyone suddenly goes silent 🤷—if they already said they'd help, why on earth should I have to chase them down and beg?!!

It really grates on my nerves—these foolish Americans who swallow every single lie they're fed. 🙄

Steven Harris16 said:Ugh, I honestly don't know how you do it. Kudos to you, but I would have dried up my milk supply from pure stress alone. I truly believe every mother knows what's best for her baby, and most things should come naturally; besides, we have this forum for advice. Everything changed once our mothers and mothers-in-law started raising us. For instance, nowadays people breastfeed exclusively for the first six months, yet my mother-in-law was already trying to feed my little one bacon at five months! Meanwhile, my husband could be doing all the prep work, and the baby would still be sleeping through it all. I'm incredibly close with my mom—we see each other a few times a week and talk twice a day—but I absolutely hate it when anyone meddles in my house, even her. I just want to be able to walk around my place half-naked in peace and let my swollen feet breathe. 😂
By the way, during my last few months of pregnancy, my mother-in-law called me five times a day just to check if I was in labor. I was losing my mind! Seriously! And if I didn't pick up my phone, she’d call my husband's phone, or even my mother's! My mom was honestly ready to strangle her!

🙂 🙂 we'll see how this plays out. Thank Unknown I have a big mouth, so I definitely won't be staying quiet. This guy of hers seems to have that "smartest person in the room" syndrome. He doesn't get that just because you've had two kids, it doesn't mean every pregnancy or every baby is the same. That's the thing—any mom who actually pays attention to her child knows exactly what they need. He doesn't even call me; he just calls him to grill him 🙄 🙂Man, I can only imagine how exhausting your mother-in-law was... 🙄

I went to the unemployment office today to file my claim after the medical leave period expired, and the woman behind the desk tells me
"You have mandatory training tomorrow at 10:00 AM." 😲😠
...And I’m expected to sit through some lecture when I'm still dealing with debilitating stomach pain? Is this really how things work in this damn country?😠

My mom.

Today I proudly asked her if my hips were widening again, assuming the answer was yes because
a) I’ve been up three sizes for a month now,
b) I’m walking my heart out every single day and honestly feel tighter,
c) none of my pants fit right anymore (even if I can barely button them at the waist).

She just gives me this look and goes, "I don't know... you definitely look wider to me..."😢😢🙂🙂🙂🙂 🙂

She was in such a rush to catch her show that we didn't really dive into it, but then she called me later. When I told her the scale hasn't budged, she insisted my stomach had grown, though she couldn't quite tell which part of me was actually expanding—she just knew something had changed. 😠😠

I love my mother, but sometimes I just want to strangle her.

Honestly, it’s driving me absolutely crazy right now—pregnancy or not, I can’t even catch a break! Instead of just sitting here peacefully enjoying my morning coffee, I’m jumping out of my skin every single time I hear some scratching or rustling coming from the chimney. I’m starting to have these vivid little nightmares about some feral creature clawing its way through the flue while I’m just standing there barefoot in the kitchen😲

So, what’s the move here? Do I just sit tight and wait for whatever is in there to... well, pass away if it can't find its way out? Because if that happens, I’m pretty sure the whole house is going to smell like something died within a couple of days.🤮

Ugh, this is just awful...

If I were you, I'd honestly just stop asking people those kinds of questions. Just don't. You're pregnant. You're going to widen a bit... put on some weight... your belly will grow... and once you give birth and get back into your exercise routine, you'll get back to your old self without any trouble. If I could pull it off at 35 after gaining 20 pounds during pregnancy—without even working out, since I'm pretty lazy—then there's no reason you couldn't do it too. You're just ruining perfectly good days by worrying about all this. Instead, just browse through those cute baby echo sites or look at nursery gear, maybe hit up one of those local pop-up markets happening lately... I won't lecture you any further.

Honestly, I’m having one of those days where everything just feels like too much—everything’s getting on my nerves—but then I read this article this morning and my blood pressure just spiked.

Look, props to the kids, I get it, but seriously... 😲...great, let’s just rush out and produce more of them immediately so the government can foot the bill for them too, right? 🙄 🤦

I can’t stand it when people ask if the baby has "come back to life." It’s such an incredibly mindless thing to say, honestly. I suppose that’s just the kind of nonsense you tend to hear from the older generation...

Same here. Though for me, it was just one person—my clueless mother-in-law. Thankfully, everyone else around me actually seems to have a functioning brain and some basic decency, regardless of how old they are.

Honestly, just thinking about that question makes my skin crawl. It wasn’t even my mother-in-law who brought it up, either; it was actually my husband’s grandmother... It was absolutely mortifying.

In my case, I found myself having to explain to everyone that, well, the baby was already very much alive. I mean, I had actually seen the heartbeat myself during the ultrasound, so there wasn't really any doubt on my end. It was actually the medical staff who had to clarify things to me—they meant they were waiting for that moment when I could physically feel the movement, just so I'd have that extra reassurance. I did end up asking them why they didn't just phrase it that way, since the baby was clearly living and breathing all along. I suppose it’s just one of those old-fashioned ways of speaking—back before every pregnant woman was getting regular scans, people might not have felt certain everything was okay until they felt that first kick. After I spoke up about it, though, nobody ever asked me if the baby had "come back to life" again; instead, they'd just ask if I was feeling any movement or how things were progressing. Though, to be fair, I haven't the slightest clue what the baby is actually doing in there—I certainly can't see it! 😁

🤦 *cue the sound effect: hatsh!*
And the government isn't paying for it—WE are!!!
Me and my wife are still paying off our little house in rural Ohio for another 12 years.
My brother-in-law had bigger ambitions and grabbed a place out in the sticks of Montana. He’s got 27 years left on his mortgage. Don't even get me started on interest rates. Honestly, he should have just started a soccer team; voilà—an Easter bonus larger than some people's monthly salary, a free house from the state. They didn't mention child allowances here, but I’d bet anything plenty of people earn way less per month than what these folks are pulling...
