Just tell them you're saving it all for the next one... 😉

I’ve already been asked a few times in this totally doom-and-gloom way: "Are you ready to start a family?" 😵
and my bump is barely even showing yet... 😬

Which doctor are you seeing? Like, they don't even know the sex? Are you sure this doctor is actually legit? Maybe you should just go somewhere else? 🤣😂
Just a bunch of idiots... 🙄

If they can't tell me the sex by next week, I'll just make one up myself. ☕

Lately, I have been feeling quite frustrated by certain social behaviors. For now, I will focus on the passengers on city buses and subways; even in the middle of July, hardly anyone seems to care about those in need. Yet, the moment an elderly man boards, everyone suddenly stands up. Despite some lady recently lecturing everyone about giving up seats for pregnant women, mothers with disabled children, or the elderly, nothing really changes. It is not as if I am walking around specifically monitoring who chooses to stand, but it would be wonderful to see someone show a modicum of basic courtesy just once. Perhaps they wouldn't even stay seated for more than a few stops, but it would at least demonstrate a sense of decency.

Let me share my own recent experience on the bus with you. I hopped onto a half-empty bus and found a seat, but after a few minutes, it started filling up mostly with older folks. This one elderly gentleman sitting across from me looks at me and goes, "Ma'am, we ought to give up our seats to those older than ourselves." (I'm almost seven months pregnant, and there was this same lady on the bus earlier lecturing everyone about seating priority for pregnant women, seniors, and all that...). So, I told him, "Pregnant women, just like seniors, have every right to a seat on the bus," and he actually looked me in the eye and said, "It's not my fault I'm old, but it is your own fault that you're pregnant." I was just speechless...😲😲😲

To thing about the 12-hour TT is driving me absolutely nuts right now—specifically the constant bathroom breaks. I used to have to run to the restroom fairly often before, mostly because the fluids were just passing straight through me, but now? It’s reaching a point where it’s actually maddening.

Man, that is just awful, seriously awful!! 😲 I mean, you probably should've just snapped back and told him it wasn't his fault he's still breathing either ☕ It feels like maybe he doesn't even have kids, or isn't close with them, because he clearly hasn't ever felt that kind of parental or grandparental love. Some older people can just be so incredibly nasty sometimes 😢

I hope you didn't actually stand up for him. It is truly a catastrophe how rude, uncultured, and foolish some people can be. Personally, I wouldn't even bother trying to explain things to someone like that; I would just snap back at him like a lunatic in front of everyone. I know that wouldn't be particularly cultured of me either, but honestly, enough is enough. People like that don't deserve anything else.

boldbison32, you really cracked me up!! It wasn’t until I actually became pregnant that I realized just how rude and selfish some older people can be... honestly, there’s no way I’m giving up my seat for someone who wouldn't even think to stand up for a mother with a kid or a pregnant woman—especially when you just saw them sprinting after a city bus or a subway train a minute earlier. I told myself right then: there is zero chance I'm ever getting up for an old person again. I’ve had my fair share of encounters where they didn't bother to move, though it hasn't been all the time. Anyway, I’m currently 38 weeks and 2 days along, and my belly is so huge it feels like I’ve already gone past my due date—so people start offering seats when you're barely even showing! Lately, I haven't been heading out much on my own, so I haven't been using public transit as much, but people have been helpful—some have even stepped aside just to let me get through the door 😁
I don't usually get irritated by things during this pregnancy... I guess my hormones just work differently? I mostly just laugh—well, I *do* laugh—everything feels great and funny to me. Sometimes I’ll get hit by this sudden burst of silliness late at night and start acting like a total goofball at home, and my husband just dies laughing... thank goodness he’s always there to be my resident clown 😁
But there is this one lady at the farmers market who used to get under my skin... her daughter just gave birth recently, and I saw the girl when she was about nine months pregnant. She had a belly about the size I had back in my fourth month 🙂 for the most part. She didn't gain any weight at all during the pregnancy, so every time that lady sees me at the market, she stares at me like I'm some kind of freak because of how big my stomach is. Like, what does she want from me? I'm right on the verge of giving birth... it's not my fault her daughter didn't carry much! Her daughter delivered a little one weighing only about 5 pounds at full term, whereas my little guy was already that size back at 33 weeks 😁 a chip off the old block, just like his dad 😍

It drives me crazy too—being compared to someone else based on whether we gained 20 pounds or 40. I’ve put on 45 (okay, maybe I could have avoided a few of those), but the doctors are estimating the baby at nearly 9 pounds if I make it to my due date, so yeah, the stomach is massive. Plus, with the swelling I'm dealing with, I couldn't stay under a certain weight even if I tried! 🙄

Honestly, people in these comment sections are such a joke, obsessing over whether your belly is too small or too big. I actually ended up at the hospital for a checkup because they were worried my bump wasn't measuring right, but the doctor just told me it looks huge because I’m tiny. But hey, apparently, all those other "experts" on the internet know better, acting like they're surgeons with their "oh my god, mine was way bigger at four months" comments.
It's a lose-lose situation. If it's small, you're failing. If it's big, you're doing it wrong.
At the end of the day, who cares about the circumference of my stomach? As long as the baby is healthy, that's all that matters. 🙂

Another thing that’s driving me absolutely crazy lately:
those reckless taxi drivers, or just general lunatics behind the wheel—you know the type, women who think they own the road—who won't even slow down for pedestrians, actually going out of their way to overtake you while you're trying to cross at a crosswalk.

Sometimes I really wish I were carrying a bag full of heavy rocks in those moments... 😁

Haha, I totally get you. 😁

The other day, a woman at the checkout counter goes, "Is there just a little bit left?" And I'm standing there completely confused because I didn't catch what she meant—honestly, I forget I'm even pregnant half the time, so it's not always top of mind for me like it is for everyone else.
Then I realized what she was aiming for and said, "Oh, right, yeah, just 'only' three months to go." 😬

Then later that same day, someone asks me dead serious if I'm having twins. 😂

But the absolute worst are the ones who constantly fawn over you (yeah, I've dealt with this too 😲)—like, "Oh my gosh, you are such a beautiful pregnant lady, I haven't seen a pregnant woman look this gorgeous in ages!"

Look, I mean, it's not like it isn't nice to hear 😍, but coming from a total stranger across the street... man, the whole guy turned around to look, and I was just standing there thinking, "Someone please just swallow me whole." 😳..🤣

🤣 Oh man

So, some random guy totally pulls up next to me in front of a Starbucks the other day, just to congratulate me. Apparently, he’s thrilled to see our numbers growing or whatever 😍
Then, he spends the next ten minutes begging me not to be mad at him for even bringing it up 😂 Mickey
