So, there I was today, just running some errands at Target, when I unexpectedly ran into this former neighbor I hadn't laid eyes on in ages, and she hits me out of nowhere with this bizarrely blunt "compliment": she tells me I look absolutely wonderful, except—and here comes the kicker—I've clearly picked up a bit of a belly, though otherwise, I don't even look pregnant... I mean, I was momentarily stunned by her sheer audacity 😍
but then came the absolute cold shower: she follows it up by remarking how my face looks completely distorted now... wtf? 😠
What am I supposed to look like, some sort of hybrid from Alien vs. Predator?
Naturally, I had to give this genius a piece of my mind; I told her quite plainly that my face will eventually return to its natural state, but certain people simply lack the capacity for intelligence, which is a permanent condition 😂 🤣
Anyway, have a nice day.....

I guess it’s my turn to vent about my husband today... 😢 Honestly, I feel like strangling him! 😠

We were out for a run, we both had pathetic lunches, and we stopped for coffee before heading home just to catch our breath... While we're sitting there, I ask him if he's hungry (🙄 stupid question, clearly I was thinking about my own stomach) and he says he's not really feeling it... But fine, he could have easily handled two slices of pizza—and I don't even like pizza that much—so I tell him, "Fine, but I'll just grab a sandwich."

And what does he do? He drives us straight to the one place that *only* serves pizza! 😢 I didn't even want to order anything, and I spent the whole ride home grumbling, hoping he'd take the hint and suggest somewhere else, but nope... nothing. Once we pulled up to the building and I realized we were stuck with nothing but dough and cheese, he actually took my joke the wrong way. I stormed out of the car into this freezing weather and hiked 15 minutes to the nearest McDonald's.
I just walked through the door 10 minutes ago, and the house is dead silent (I'm guessing he's giving me the cold shoulder 🙄), thinking that if he ignores me, I'll eventually calm down.
Not happening! I am already plotting my revenge! 😳

Am I overreacting? 🤷

My brother-in-law and his wife promised they’d gift us a crib, but they’re dragging their feet and saying we have to wait a month; meanwhile, my mother-in-law swore she’d handle the changing table, but now she’s gone completely silent 🙄—honestly, whatever, we’ll just pick one out ourselves once my husband gets his Christmas bonus...
And I would give anything to have the nursery all set up right this second..

It was the exact same story at my house; when I first found out I was pregnant, my sister-in-law told me not to stress about buying gear or little baby clothes because she had everything saved up for us... and then, nothing but radio silence from her end since then..
Now, every single time my husband and I head out to buy something for the baby, or if someone else offers to help us out with a gift, she starts making this huge scene, acting all indignant as if to say, "Why on earth are you buying things when I supposedly have it all covered?"—honestly, who does she think she is? 🤷
I’m due in eight weeks, not eight months, so we don't exactly have the luxury of waiting around, and I have absolutely no intention of begging them for anything, especially since they know perfectly well how tight our budget is right now...
Thank God we only need a stroller at this point, which isn't an immediate emergency anyway, and I know there's a big sale coming up soon...
Sometimes, the sheer level of human stupidity is just boundless...... 😁

I don't know what to tell you people, but if you think I'm going to sit here and sugarcoat things just to make you feel better about your questionable life choices, you're dead wrong. I’m just going to say what everyone else is too terrified to whisper in their own living rooms. It's honestly exhausting how much effort goes into pretending everything is fine when we all know it's a total mess. Anyway, I'm here, I'm blunt, and I'm probably going to annoy you. Deal with it. kaže:
Honestly, it’s starting to get under my skin just how much I still don't know about pregnancy and kids. I kept telling myself I had plenty of time to figure things out, but here I am at 17 weeks and I feel like I'm completely clueless about a million different things. It feels like everyone else on the planet was born with this manual or something, while I'm just sitting here feeling totally behind the curve. 👎

I’m feeling the exact same way, and honestly, it’s driving me absolutely insane. 🙄
Quincy:
I can't believe I'm even bothering to type this out because it feels like shouting into a void, but honestly, if we don't start calling out this absolute nonsense right now, we’re all just going to sit here while everything falls apart around us. It’s exhausting, really, dealing with people who think they can just ignore the facts and still expect everyone else to nod along like mindless sheep, but I’ve never been one for playing nice when the truth is staring us dead in the face. Look, I know I tend to ramble and maybe I come off a little intense—I get that, I truly do—but there's something about the way things are being handled lately that just makes my blood boil, and I refuse to stay quiet just to make things comfortable for people who clearly don't care. I can't even begin to process this level of nonsense without feeling like my brain is actually melting right in front of you people. It’s honestly impressive how anyone can look at such a blatant disaster and try to spin it into something resembling logic, though I suppose that’s just life in America, isn't it? Everything is a mess, everyone is shouting, and frankly, I’m just sitting here wondering when we all collectively decided to stop using common sense altogether. It's exhausting, really, trying to make sense of a world where the most ridiculous takes somehow get the loudest microphones.
Are you actually talking about a nursing bra? 🤷
Look, you don't even have to strip down to your underwear; just pop the cap off. It’s actually pretty damn practical if you think about it.
No, I’m talking about that maternity bra everyone on this forum keeps bringing up. Honestly, I think people are getting the terminology all wrong by calling them nursing bras, but I wanted to double-check with you guys to be sure. ☕

I’ve been dealing with these damn hemorrhoids since yesterday, and honestly, they are driving me absolutely insane. 😠 And I have honestly never experienced anything like it in my entire life. 😢

So, I got called out today by some "old school" gentleman who decided to go after a cashier at Walmart...

She was handing out bread, and just as I reached the front of the line, she had to step into the back while the other employee took over stocking the shelves. I couldn't help myself—I started speaking up about how disrespectful it was to ignore a pregnant woman who could go into labor at any second.😂

For someone like me, who usually prides herself on being pretty level-headed, it was actually quite uncomfortable.🤣

I have to share this. It happened back this summer when I was about eight weeks pregnant and dealing with morning sickness that made me want to lose my mind. My husband and I were driving home after I’d been out shopping—I had picked up some licorice sticks, which I used to love. We were driving just outside the city limits... I popped one in my mouth to try and settle my stomach, but then suddenly... grrrghhhhh... I felt like I was going to throw up right there in the car. I screamed, "STOP!!" My poor husband couldn't exactly pull over in the middle of the highway, but a few yards later we found a little dip in the road where he could pull off. I didn't even look around; I just yanked the door open and leaned my head out. I was gasping for air and retching. It wasn't exactly pretty, but it was loud. The problem was, that little shoulder in the road was right in front of someone's driveway. Suddenly, this guy appears and starts yelling at us, demanding to know what on earth we're doing! I tried to be as polite as possible: "Sir, I am so incredibly sorry. Please, I'm so sorry..." blah blah... I just couldn't help it, it's early pregnancy... I'll clean it up... (though I honestly wondered how I'd clean dirt...)
He snaps at me: "You could have pulled over fifty yards further up! Just get out of here, move!"
And me, again: "But sir, I can't, I feel terrible, please forgive me." (Naturally, the shock of his tone actually made the nausea stop.) We stood there arguing for a bit...
Then he tells me: "I don't care one bit. And from where I'm standing, you aren't pregnant, you're just drunk!" 😕😲😲😲😲

The shock left me speechless. I couldn't even utter a word. My husband, being the gentleman he is, gave him a piece of his mind...
The guy is actually someone we know who's lived in the USA for years and apparently picked up some "refined" manners while living in the UN. Honestly, I hope his daughter turns out just like him. 😠

Here’s what’s actually driving me up the wall:
My mother-in-law’s sister came to stay with us for a week—she's 22, and honestly, I don't know how anyone can be this useless and lazy, it's like God intended it! She sleeps until noon, then just rolls out of bed and spends the entire day scrolling through Facebook—can you believe it?—and she won't even pick up her own plate after lunch. I’m the one who has to run out to the grocery store to grab bread for her because by the time she finally decides she wants some, the local market is already sold out. She just sprawls out on the couch like she owns the place, and my poor husband comes home exhausted from work only to have to tackle the dishes himself. When I make a snack for the little one, I practically have to make one for her too, and she just sits there on that couch staring at her phone. Even when I ask her to watch the baby for a few minutes while I jump in the shower, she gets sucked right back into social media, leaving the toddler playing alone with her dolls right at the top of the stairs! And look, I’m supposed to be resting strictly right now—which she knows full well—but apparently, her lazy self is the most important thing in the universe, so she stays on the couch while I’m stuck lying on the floor. To top it all off, she decided she needed eye surgery this morning, which cost her parents about $900, and her mom is acting like she just went through major surgery for a tumor or something. Meanwhile, my own mother is literally in the hospital having appendicitis right now, and I don't even have the energy to tell anyone because I'm just so fed up with all this self-centeredness. And the best part? Our "dear" guest actually had the nerve to say she shouldn't have to lift a finger for a few days because of her eye procedure. I mean, seriously, what exactly was she doing before this? 😕
It’s like she’s mocking me to my face. Honestly, give me a break...

I’ve finally come to the conclusion that men are completely redundant on this planet. 😠
After the contractors finished up, our bed ended up shoved half a foot away from the wall. I’ve been nagging my husband about fixing it for three weeks now. So, today I finally asked him nicely—like, "Hey, could you please just slide the bed back over with Uncle Bob helping you? It’ll take five minutes." And I was actually feeling pretty proud of myself for being reasonable. But after watching them struggle with it for three minutes, my ego took a hit when he tells me that Uncle Bob moved it too fast and knocked the bedside lamps right off the shelf. 😠
Of course, one of the lamps shattered—just the glass part—so now I’m stuck with one working light and one useless hunk of metal. 🙂 And where am I supposed to find an exact replacement for that specific model now?
Between the house and the men, nothing works. Last week, I managed to nudge the bed about ten centimeters on my own just so I could actually open the dresser drawer properly.
My takeaway? Aside from their role in procreating, they’re basically useless. At least in my case, mine is a lost cause. 😠

Just to add some context, I actually moved it all by myself!!! And when I told him I could just handle moving it alone, he was all like, "No way, don't overdo it, you don't want anything going wrong with you or the baby. I'll do it, and my uncle will help me too!!"
Look, I moved it on my own, and I’m perfectly fine, and the baby is doing great.

Let's be real though, it's a massive king-sized solid wood bed. Men can be such a pain sometimes!!! 😠

Everything that catches me off guard just leaves me feeling irritated.
And honestly, even the things I saw coming from a mile away? They irritate me too.

It’s just... absolutely everything ☕

I am not having another kid. No way. Not happening. ☕

Honestly ladies, just ignore all that noise. 2up 🙂 Ever since I found out I was pregnant—actually, even before that—I haven't let anyone mess with me. People act like women don't matter, but let's be real: without us, nothing would get done. 🙂🙂 It’s infuriating hearing that kind of crap...

Ugh, they’re honestly useless. At least mine is a total waste of space.
Like, "don't lift anything, don't push anything, don't work, I'll do it"... yeah, okay, but when? When?! I can't even look at a mess that needs fixing for days on end without losing my mind, and then if I actually let someone try to fix it, they just screw everything up... seriously, what a joke... 😛I finally decided to give this vacuum a shot recently—you know, the one that's supposed to make my life easier—and what does it do? It scratches the floor everywhere. Just deep, ugly gouges left all over the laminate. And get this: I specifically asked if he pressed those little brushes down so it wouldn't scratch, and he goes, "Yeah, I did." Man, I nearly passed out right there. I've had this thing for eight years, used it for vacuuming and mopping and nothing ever happened, and now suddenly this happens. And their brilliant response? "Well, next time just do it yourself." Like, excuse me? You can't even see the scratches? If you ask me, from an airplane view, absolutely. 😍
Honestly, isn't it better to just do everything myself and have some peace? They really can be so incredibly incompetent sometimes.

I have this nagging suspicion that they’re messing things up on purpose, just so we’ll think twice before asking them to step up next time. 😂

I spent an entire MONTH telling him, "Hey, bring that massive turtle aquarium downstairs so I can clean it"... 🙄 A whole month... but honestly, I can't move that thing alone. Even before I was pregnant, I struggled with it, and now? I'm definitely not breaking my back for it. Why should I? It ended up with me basically shouting, "Get your butt upstairs and grab the tank!" "What about dinner?!" NO DINNER UNTIL THE NINJAS ARE DOWNSTAIRS!!!! And that’s how it went. 😬
We’re supposed to be cleaning the room tomorrow because it’s just as hard for me to lug that vacuum upstairs since it's one of those huge Shop-Vac style ones... yeah, right, let's see how he manages to vacuum with that thing... ☕
I can already see myself tomorrow, getting into a massive blowout over this total disaster... 😳

God, they’re so intense😠 I’ve got this massive construction project looming over my head these next few days—we’re getting new vinyl windows installed. I am already dreading that fine-ass dust that gets absolutely everywhere, creeping into every single closet and drawer. It’s gonna be a nightmare. Plus, the contractor has been jerking me around for a week straight now, just stalling. And don't even get me started on that toxic paint smell that hangs in the air forever until it finally dies down. Total disaster. Thank God my mom is stepping up to handle all the cleaning and resetting everything; I’d do it myself, but she won't let me exert myself too much. Honestly, if I tried to help, I’d probably just be in the way, and when she actually picks up a rag or a broom, man... I won't even go there.😂The only thing she does perfectly is the dishes, I'll give her that. Can't deny it. At least we have that one little win.😍

I’d honestly rather spend twelve hours straight working in my garage than have him hovering in the kitchen trying to help; he acts like such a chore just being there.

I suppose I'll wait until I have a massive baby bump and can't manage the cleaning myself before I see if he actually steps up and realizes he needs to pull his weight. 🙄

Back before I was married, I lived with my old man. We had this deal where we'd do a deep clean every weekend, right? And he was always the one scrubbing the bathroom most of the time. And I gotta say, it actually looked spotless!
BUT!!!! The second you stepped into the restroom, he wouldn't follow you in to watch how you peed just to make sure you didn't mess up his hard work... 🤣
And guess what? My husband is exactly the same way now! He cleans up after himself at home and then has the nerve to nag me when I leave a glass sitting somewhere—but does he ever pick up after me and put something in the sink?! 🙂🙂🙂

Mine, on the other hand, claims—mostly because he's obsessed with doing the dishes right now😍—that he’d much rather spend all day scrubbing plates than actually doing any real work.

Look, I don't even care if he's hanging around the kitchen. My only real rule is that when he's done eating, he puts his plate in the sink and carries whatever's in the living room back to the kitchen. Asking me to let him do the dishes? Please... that would be even more of a disaster than it was before!
I've still got a gut, so I'm basically doing most of the heavy lifting myself! Trust me, you'll be right there with me once you hit that stage, because watching how sloppily he cleans will drive you absolutely insane! It's gonna be just like that... 😉

I know it’s coming 🤦, but I suppose I’m feeling a little bit 😉

But he’s definitely going to have to help out with the floors, since this house is massive. If I was able to pitch in and help him out in his workshop, surely he can do the same for me. 😁
