Oh great, mine’s having issues with his timing too! I called him earlier today just to see when he'd be back because I completely forgot to pick up some oil (turns out being pregnant makes things a bit harder 🤣), and he told me he had work until 4:00 and would be home then. I couldn't just head out myself since the baby was sleeping. Of course, I ended up sitting there waiting until 5:20 before he finally showed up with the damn oil. 🙄

Now, just imagine if I didn't have a sense of time either 🤦
what kind of disaster we'd be 🤦

but then again, he has no idea how to judge distance either 🙄

Stupid question: "Wait, is the baby alive yet?"🙄
She’s alive—thanks for asking—been for a while now. I mean, last time I checked, corpses don't exactly have beating hearts or dividing cells.
If you want to ask which week or month I'm in, whether it's moved past the embryo stage to a fetus, or if we're through that first "critical" window... maybe try doing a quick Google search first instead of just talking nonsense.😠

Lately, people chewing with their mouths open or snapping gum too loud has been driving me insane. But honestly? The absolute worst is when someone finishes a meal and then smacks their lips like a total slob while cleaning up the crumbs. It’s gross... I swear, sometimes I just want to stitch their mouth shut!
plus one coworker tried to tell me, "I have to prepare you for what happened to me when I gave birth," and I was just like, "Look, I really don't need to hear about heavy or depressing stuff right now." Then she doubles down and says, "No, you really need to know this," because there was another woman in the room who actually rejected her newborn and wouldn't even hold or nurse him. I’m just sitting there thinking, why on earth would I need to hear that? How does that even fall under the category of "not wanting to hear unpleasant things"?

My mother-in-law is driving me up the wall right now. She acts like this baby belongs to her instead of me and my husband... They just bought a portable crib because they’re already planning for when the little one stays over at their place. 🤷 🤷
She even had the nerve to suggest the baby should spend the first month sleeping at their house constantly, supposedly so I can "rest and recover." ☕
And then there's my husband. He reacts to all of this like she hasn't said a word... 🙄 He just tells me to stop complaining and change the subject.

😂😂😂 Honestly, I can't laugh at you—I have to laugh at your mother-in-law and these ridiculous ideas she's coming up with!
My own mother had similar notions! She actually bought a massive king-sized bed thinking my child could just sleep right between her and my dad! 😲 🙄 And if I refused, she'd argue there wouldn't even be room in the bedroom for a separate crib! 🤣
The logic some people use is just baffling.
The worst part of all of this is that no matter what I say, I'm always the one being labeled as "too nervous," "unstable," or whatever else. Somehow, I'm always the problem. So perhaps your husband is right—it might be better not to even comment on such nonsense. You just end up getting worked up while they couldn't care less.

My mother-in-law is taking things to another level... she acts like I’m not even pregnant, as if I haven't bought a single thing or have any intention of preparing for this baby. And God forbid she actually helps out—like cooking a meal once a year—even though we live in the same house and she’s just one floor up. On top of that, she’s one of the loudest voices arguing that we need to get rid of our dog. Like, what? We’ll mourn for a few days and then just move on, right? 🙄
She is driving me absolutely insane!😠

It would almost be funny if she weren't being dead serious about all this.🤣
She’s already mapped out every single meal for the first month, deciding she needs a high-end food processor because heaven forbid the baby eats anything that isn't perfectly pureed.😂😂

You’d think she’s never even dealt with a child before...😕

Since he’s already tuned out her outbursts😉 I haven't quite reached that level of indifference yet🤣 though I suspect I'll get there soon😂

She also asked if the car seat we bought would actually fit in their vehicle for their trip down to Florida, or if they should just buy a different one...😂😂

This sounds eerily similar to my mother-in-law. She had two babies under her roof—one breastfed, one not. Well, the non-breastfed one started solid foods much earlier, whereas the breastfed one hadn't even started yet. And let me tell you, listening to the theories she was spinning—claiming the little one was "frail" and needed things like bits of ham or just dipping their fingers in grease to "get used to flavors"—was enough to make my head spin.😲
I am 100% certain that if I leave my child alone with her for even a minute, she’ll be shoving sugar, honey, or whatever else is off-limits right into the baby's mouth.🤮
That’s why I’ve realized the only way to keep my sanity is to ensure neither she nor my own mother is left unsupervised with the baby for even a second. There’s no other way; if I tell them no, they’ll nod and agree to my face, but the moment I turn my back, they'll go ahead and cause some kind of trouble.

I came to the exact same conclusion. That's just how she acts, even with our dog... one look from the pup and she decides it's starving, and the second we turn our heads, the poor thing has already scavenged something she shouldn't have.🙄
That’s why I can’t trust leaving the baby with her for even an hour or two. She’d probably feed the kid anything and everything just because if the baby is awake or crying, she’ll assume it's hungry...🤷

Pregnant women are never satisfied...🙂 either we're overbearing or we don't care enough.😂

So, my mother actually suggested yesterday that once the baby girl arrives, I should just hand her over to her so she can spend all her time dressing her up in different outfits. 🤣
I mean, I suppose I know she was mostly joking—she was probably just caught up in the excitement of all those tiny, cute little outfits you see in stores everywhere,(😍) which is why she kept going on about how she’d be the one constantly changing her clothes and taking her out for walks on the stroller. 🤣

Haha, my mom and mother-in-law are totally fine, but my dad and father-in-law 🙄
are a different story. My dad was dead set on us all going to a concert in Chicago at the beginning of June (my date is 6/1 😂), and he honestly can't see why that would be an issue at all.
Then there's my father-in-law, who thinks we should head out to their vacation house once the baby is a month old—but not just for a weekend, he expects me to stay for a few weeks... 🤣

It really got under my skin at first, especially since my husband wasn't saying anything, but after I sat him down, I realized he actually feels the exact same way as I do; he just prefers to keep quiet about it. ☕
Now, we just end up laughing together about the ridiculous things they say. 😉

🙂 Why on earth can't people just put a hand over their mouth when they're coughing or sneezing? 🙂
Honestly, it’s always been a pet peeve of mine, but right now I am absolutely losing my mind because someone just coughed right in my face 😲 And then, of course, I’m the one who ends up looking like a total crazy old lady just for trying to point out basic manners 🙄

Man, what a day... I’ve already had two massive headaches today:
1. Stopped by the Chase branch, but they’re totally remodeling, so everything is crammed into this tiny little corner with just two women working there. There was this old guy ahead of me—honestly looks like he’s been wearing the exact same clothes for a week straight—😳 just relentlessly badgering one of the tellers about something. You could tell she was trying her absolute best to walk him through it, but he just wouldn't budge. At the other window, some couple was hogging the teller... I finally thought, "Okay, I'm next," only for some lady to start offering them all sorts of little trinkets and fans...(if you work at Chase, you know exactly 🙄 what I mean). Tamann should have been my turn, but then this older woman just cut right in front of me... she probably only had one quick question 😠 but I was honestly getting so annoyed I almost started talking back out loud.
2. Sent my husband over to the gynecologist—trying to get his checkup done now so we don't have to sit in a waiting room during peak flu season—with just ONE referral for Petrov. He gets back and tells me the place is packed, like you can barely even squeeze through the door (the doctor is still announcing that he’s taking new patients 🙄), so he figured he’d just come back later. He heads back around 5 PM... he’s gone for an hour and eventually rolls back in with a referral that’s filled out completely wrong! 😠 So now he has to head back tomorrow just to get 😠
fixed.

It seriously drives me insane when people try to lecture me about my weight
like, they start pulling that "you have to eat enough for the baby to grow" kind of nonsense
as if "eating for two" means you should just gorge yourself constantly. That’s not how it works.

Or they’ll tell me that gaining weight is always a good thing for both me and the baby—honestly, give me a break. If I gain way too much, it’s not healthy for me OR the baby.

🙄Right, because that's why my husband put me on a diet, clearly a brilliant move. 🙄
And then whenever I mention I'm watching what I eat, I get those judgmental looks and comments like, "Are you being serious right now?" or whatever. 🙂

Ugh, honestly, it’s driving me crazy how much weight I’m putting on lately... and my better half? He’s constantly hovering with snacks, just like, "Go ahead, honey, grab some more," as if it isn't hard enough trying to stay disciplined on my own without him basically inviting me to an all-you-can-eat buffet every single night... 😬 I know he means well, really, he does, but I’ve already gained about 18 pounds since we started this, and at this rate, by the time the next 13 weeks roll around, I’m basically going to be a pro wrestler or something... 🙈 👎

I seriously hate these stupid stories about how you have to "eat for two." Like, people don't get that it's just a figure of speech? It drives me insane.
Modern medicine has moved way past that nonsense and actually knows what works and what doesn't
As if it isn't hard enough already dealing with obesity rates, now they want us all overeating too.
We eat exactly what we need to eat.
