Ugh...
It’s driving me kind of crazy because I switched over to the sofa last night—which is way firmer than my actual bed—and while my arms didn't go numb like they usually do, my stomach and muscles were all achy this morning. I guess it was just too stiff for me.

-The wait for these amniocentesis results is driving me absolutely nuts. I called the clinic today and all I could hear was some women whispering in the background before they just told me nothing is ready yet. Like, seriously? If there was actually something wrong, wouldn't they just tell me over the phone? Damn, I’m going to be almost 24 weeks along by the time I finally get the 😢
. -It also kills me how I can't even scroll through my feed without seeing a hundred different people giving unsolicited advice on everything from bath time to feeding schedules to strollers... honestly, by the time I actually get around to doing some baby shopping, I’m probably going to be so overwhelmed by all the conflicting info that I won't even know which diaper cream is actually good or if the kid even needs 😠
in the first place.

Noah Ramirez7 said:exactly..
thank goodness I only have to deal with them once a week..
I honestly thought I was going to lose my mind this past Saturday.. 😠😠
Every time I see my father-in-law my blood pressure hits the ceiling, and the second my mother-in-law opens her mouth... especially with that whole... ULTRASOUND thing being "dangerous".. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..
And she won't even say it to my face like I do, she just drops these hints about her daughter who just had a baby lately..
Like, oh, it wasn't good that she went for ultrasounds so often..
I swear I almost snapped!!!
So I finally lost it and told her straight up that plenty of women need that peace of mind to know if their baby is actually healthy or not when something goes wrong..
Because let's be real, not every woman is choosing to have a sick child..
But you can't teach an old dog new tricks, right?,,
And my clean-cut brother-in-law is absolutely throwing a tantrum because we didn't show up at his house to celebrate Christmas and New Year's in person, but just sent him a text instead since he's impossible to reach..
What a jerk..
With this belly, I feel like I should be making a pilgrimage from one shrine to another just to get to the dentist..
I told him that once I actually give birth, I'll be the one needing to go to the hospital to show off the baby, not him barging in whenever he feels like seeing it..
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..
I am just beyond furious..
I want to just 🙂🙂🙂🙂:2up:

That is precisely what drives me up the wall! I found myself getting all worked up sharing my own ultrasound stories, only to have my own mother-in-law completely shut me down...
But honestly, who gives a damn? You and your baby are the only things that matter here; why let their attitudes get under your skin or spike your stress levels?

You have two ears for a reason: one to listen, and the other to let everything else go in one ear and out the other...

It’s honestly so frustrating dealing with my husband—he’s insisting that my meltdown this morning was just some hormonal imbalance, when in reality, he’s the one who actually caused the whole thing!

It’s always the hormones' fault, isn't it? 👎
If they're supposedly so "smart" that they can pinpoint exactly how much these hormones are driving everything, then why on earth would they let them run wild in the first place? 😢
(I mean, my partner is the exact same way, so...)

Hahahaha, before pregnancy, they just claim we’re being moody because of PMS, and now it’s because of the pregnancy—but nope, it’s never actually about anything they said or did! 😂

get to know my boyfriend
he can clearly see I'm struggling with the cleaning and that my stomach is killing me, but instead of actually offering to lend a hand
he just tells me there's no rush and that I should just take my time

And just when you’ve nearly finished everything, he comes flying in like he just landed from Mars and asks, "Hey, maybe I could lend a hand with something?" 😂

Ladies, seriously—just tell your husbands they need to step up. Beg them, threaten them, whatever works...
I honestly feel like I could guilt-trip my own husband into doing just about anything, ughhh 😁
In the beginning, he was always jumping in to help without me even having to open my mouth. Now? It’s a bit more of a struggle, but I just give him a little earful—explain exactly how much I'm drowning—and then he finally gets moving.
You really have to know how to handle them 🤣

cosmicfox8, I don't really see it as an issue—if I end up having to nag him to get things done, then he'll do them. But honestly? I’d much rather he just realizes on his own that he needs to step up and help out. And if I happen to have a little boy one day, I'll just make sure to teach him everything his father never quite picked up. 🙂

My mother-in-law 🙂 😬

First off, while I was dealing with intense pain—I’m basically experiencing every possible pregnancy complication, from constant nausea that hasn't let up even at 18 weeks to these horrific abdominal cramps. There are days when I can't even sit or stand properly, which just leaves me feeling incredibly on edge and irritable from the discomfort. Then she swoops in with comments like, "Oh, that doesn't look right, something must be wrong" 😠 Honestly, as if I don't have enough on my plate without her jumping in with those remarks. I really don't need the extra stress 😠

And then, once she heard the baby is 😍, she turned to my husband and asked how such a grown man couldn't manage to produce a son 😠 🙂 , followed by this massive, disappointed sigh: "Aaaah, it's a girl" 😠 I mean, the child isn't even born yet and she's already facing discrimination from her "brilliant" grandmother. Plus, she already has two grandkids from her other son, so you'd think she'd be thrilled about adding another grandchild to the mix

Honestly, I’d like to have a word with anyone who claims pregnancy is some "mild" experience 🙂
Mild? Give me a break. Between the constant nausea, the aches, and the mood swings, I don't see anything mild about this. I am more than ready for this baby to finally be out 😬

Honestly, these husbands are getting on my nerves lately 😁 because if mine acted like this, he’d have been tossed out the window ages ago 😂 (and we're on the 4th floor ☕)

Sure, they can see it, but it doesn't matter to them. They’re just going to take advantage of the situation while he’s still around.
He’s acting out of line... so what? Since when was that ever his concern?

1. I seriously can't stand it when people announce they're dropping by unannounced. It turns the whole week into this frantic mess where everyone’s scrambling—like, "Oh, the first daughter is coming over, so forget everything else!" Suddenly, nobody has time for their grandma anymore, or they just dodge her entirely because they're too busy dealing with the chaos. And now, one of my houseguests has been running a fever and fighting the flu for two days straight. I'm pregnant, which basically means my immune system is non-existent, and the little one is super sensitive. If I catch whatever this bug is, I'm toast.
2. Then there's my insurance provider. My OB-GYN hasn't even done an ultrasound in six weeks because Blue Cross Blue Shield decided that pregnancy only covers three scans total. Not to mention, back when I was 8 weeks along, I had a 7cm hematoma. Who knows if that thing even cleared up? Now, the doctor is telling me if I want another scan to actually check, I have to pay out of pocket.🙂

$33 That's just how they do things at your checkup, it's really not that big of a deal
Ugh, whatever, you can't fight their damn rules

Sure, it’s not a massive amount, but we’re pregnant and paying our premiums and taxes for healthcare, so they should at least stop charging us for basic services. I dealt with this huge hematoma along with a bunch of smaller ones, and how was the doctor supposed to know the hematoma was gone? She just told me everything was fine and to quit taking the pills. I knew the meds weren't doing anything, and I knew things were okay because the doctor's incompetence forced me to go to a private clinic for prenatal care. She didn't even see the pregnancy when I was five weeks along. Then my older daughter got sick and, since I was certain I wasn't pregnant, I took her right into an X-ray room. The next day, because of symptoms pointing toward pneumonia and sinus issues, I was sent for chest and sinus scans—basically, if she had actually realized I was pregnant, I wouldn't have been blasted twice, once directly and once indirectly. You have no idea how I felt when she finally told me three weeks later that I was pregnant, only to say she couldn't see the fetus, and then three days after I started bleeding, she "discovered" the fetus was already the size of an eight-week pregnancy. She completely missed the infection...
At a private clinic, I pay $42 (I get 50% off through my husband's corporate insurance plan) and the doctor there is actually skilled, thorough, and genuinely dedicated. Their ultrasound machine is way more advanced than the junk at the public clinic, and they focus entirely on you. An appointment, consultation, and everything else takes about 30 to 45 minutes. At the public clinic, you're done with the exam and the ultrasound in maybe 5 to 7 minutes tops.

Lately, I’ve been dealing with this absolutely brutal pressure in my lower abdomen—it’s gotten so bad that I can barely even walk 😢

My OB-GYN is seriously getting on my nerves. Every single time I’ve gone in—well, except for last time—she told me we’d be doing an ultrasound every other visit, but then she shows up today and just drops this on me 🤷
The woman handled my first pregnancy perfectly, but now it’s just one stupid mistake after another. Honestly, I have no clue if she actually performed an ultrasound on someone else or if she's just skipping it. At least with those, you aren't wasting supplies. If they really needed more, I could just go grab some lube or that gel they slather on your stomach, but the machine itself doesn't just run out of juicediv>
