I’m starting to get sick of my own company...
Don't worry, this doesn't have anything to do with that friend... at least, not directly.
I just feel terrible. The first semester of freshman year is over, and I pulled a 4.0 GPA. Everyone else is happy and celebrating, but I just feel empty. Honestly, part of me wishes I wasn't even here. Maybe that would be for the best.
And before anyone asks, no, this isn't just "puberty" or some teenage phase. Last year, something happened that hit me hard, and it's still messing with my life today. It lasted a few months, and by the end, I was completely broken. No one knows about it, and now I just don't have any drive left. I have no strength.

I just feel terrible. The first half of freshman year is over, I finished with a 4.0 GPA, everyone is happy and proud... yet I just feel empty. Honestly? Part of me wishes I wasn't even here. Maybe that would be for the best.
It isn't just puberty—if only it were that simple. Something happened last year that hit me hard, and it's still affecting everything. It lasted a few months, and after that, I was completely broken. No one knows about it, and now I just have no drive left. No strength at all...

Pull yourself together... you shouldn't be carrying this much weight at fifteen or sixteen. And who knows? Maybe it really is just hormones hitting you all at once... it's a nasty thing—really nasty if you don't process it correctly or if certain things happen to you during that stage.

Anyway, believe me when I say that in a few days, this will all start to fade and you'll feel better. Don't doubt it; just try to believe and keep smiling. Things will look up... 🙂

If you're already feeling this weighed down at just fourteen, I can't help but wonder what kind of hurdles you'll be facing by the time you reach thirty? 🙄

This thread is nothing more than another bout of adolescent, self-destructive whining: "Oh, Lastane, I'm so pathetic because this guy won't sleep with me. Does this mean I'll be alone forever?"

I felt the exact same way back when I was 22. There isn't a quick fix for this... maybe try some bourbon.

You could even try using candy, I guess—kidding, kidding... 🙄

But seriously, don't sweat it—once you actually get married, all this stress just fades away anyway ☕

I felt the same way at first, but now it’s actually worse. Enjoy it while you can. Every passing year just adds more complexity and weight to everything.

I mean, I felt the exact same way when I first started—and honestly? Now, I feel like things have actually gotten even worse. So, if I have any advice, just enjoy it while you can. Every passing year and every bit of experience just seems to make everything more complicated and, frankly, much harder.

Don't talk like that—seriously. The older you get (which, theoretically, should mean you're getting smarter), the better things ought to be. You have to keep moving forward, keep pushing... otherwise, life is just going to steamroll you 👋.
