Wind Whispers

...watched this movie yesterday. It’s just your typical war flick—nothing to write home about. Given who directed it, I really expected way more. It has all the right ingredients for something great—the grizzled vet with a guilty conscience, the young patriot and his best friend, the fanatic enemy... but in the end, it's just another mediocre movie. Sure, there are some solid combat sequences (those aerial strikes are seriously👍), and plenty of gore, but the whole thing just felt kind of hollow to me....

My roommate borrowed this movie from a local rental shop and passed it over to me just to kill a couple of hours... And honestly, I killed the time, and it wasn't half bad. It’s definitely a weak film, but there were some decent moments here and there. Looking back, considering his pretty disastrous track record, it might actually be the best thing Steven Spielberg ever did after Face / Off...

I just finished watching this movie, and it struck me that there was a lot of chatter immediately after its release about certain elements being totally unrealistic.
Does anyone here know specifically which facts were called out?

In that final scene where Cage passes away, right as the screen fades to white and the word "dead" appears, does anyone else notice him blink just for a second?

A few years back, a friend talked me into hitting up the movie theater. Should I mention that I was practically dying of boredom, much like most of the audience sitting there? The only part that actually managed to grab my attention was the opening shootout, which was decent enough to shake me up a bit.
