Man, give me a break! What drivers are you even talking about when we're looking at 2011? We might not even have drivers by then!🤣 Glad they released the beta. Personally, I'm sticking with Windows XP for another five years. I'll move once people actually stop making programs for it.😍

I've been running it for a few days now and honestly, it's working great..

I just finished installing this OS, and I’m telling you—it’s going to be absolutely killer. 100% conviction here.

So I picked up Windows Vista 64-bit and honestly, I have no clue what you guys are even complaining about... I remember being such a die-hard fan of Windows XP because Windows 98 was basically the greatest OS ever made, and then... I am never switching over to Vista because it’s just too buggy, though I guess it’s always been the same old story. Once they finally hammer out all those patches on Vista (just like how it took them three whole years to get Windows XP dialed in), everyone will just start trashing whatever new OS comes out next....
Same old song and dance, heard it a hundred times already.

So, are you running into any headaches with your drivers lately?

My bad, I missed your post, looks like we're basically saying the same thing—there are plenty of us who feel this way.
The only reason I'm sticking with Windows Vista is because I want to make sure my full 8GB of RAM actually gets utilized properly while I'm playing Fallout, Far Cry 2, Grid, and stuff like that.

Nah, everything just installs itself, you know? Like, if I plug a USB to RS-232 adapter in, boom, it works. I don't even care what kind of cable it is or whatever. It was the same deal with my router. Once I reinstalled everything, I just plugged it in—no CDs or extra steps required. I actually had to give AT&T a call just to make sure the connection was solid.🤣
The only thing giving me grief is Subtitle Workshop because I'm trying to get a 64-bit codec working, since K-Lite won't play the video for me (or maybe I'm just bad at settings... there's way too much stuff to dig through and all these little complications just drive me crazy).

Sure, you can have 8GB all you want, but honestly—hardly any modern games actually know how to make good use of it.

I get what you're saying, but honestly, I've been there before—every time I've picked up a new rig, I end up constantly messing around with memory tweaks just to keep things smooth. Don't sweat it too much, though; once you've got two or three background processes running alongside some heavy-duty video rendering app, that 4GB of RAM is gonna disappear before you even realize it. You can never have too much of a good thing, right? Besides, software developers are always finding new ways to hog resources anyway, so you might as well be prepared.
