Wrecked (2011)

After going toe-to-toe with Predators in the woods, Adrien Brody is heading back into the wild, but this time nature and amnesia are his biggest threats. "Wrecked" is a thriller directed by Michael Greenspan, marking his big feature debut. The story follows a guy waking up in a totaled car with zero clue who he is or how he ended up there. Based on the trailer, we're looking at an intense, gritty thriller (it actually gives off some major "Man vs. Wild" vibes, which you can catch on ABC).
Alongside Brody, the cast features some lesser-known actors, and the movie is slated for a 2011 release, though the exact date is still TBD.

Man, the trailer looked pretty promising and I was definitely hoping for a solid flick, but honestly? This turned out even better than I ever expected.
It’s such a killer thriller/drama about a guy just trying to survive against the elements. I mean, surviving out in the wild when you're banged up is no joke. It's truly man vs nature in the most literal sense, which felt like such a breath of fresh air for the genre—definitely one of the more gripping movies I've seen in the last couple of years.

The cinematography was absolutely stunning, Adrien Brody gave a powerhouse performance, and honestly, the entire cast killed it. The atmosphere was spot on—I’d even go as far as saying it was incredible—and the plot kept me hooked the whole way through... all in all, just a really great movie!

Looks like a decent movie, but honestly, trailers are a scam. Glad they didn't show me the whole thing, otherwise I would have turned it off halfway through.

Here’s my take on this dud of a movie

It was incredibly, painfully boring. I honestly struggled to sit through the whole thing. If this movie has even three sentences of actual dialogue, they're all just clichés: "Help me!" or "I'm over here!"—just total blah blah blah.
It feels like a cheap, low-budget knockoff of 127 Hours... there are way too many plot holes.

The ending is just idiotic. I spent the entire runtime waiting for something—anything—to happen, and then suddenly a car just hits him? And wait, where did the dog go? Where did the dog disappear to? If there were three people in that car, where’s the third person who died? And if he somehow got out of the car, how could he have escaped if he wasn't physically able to move? It's a stupid story; there isn't even a real plot, just constant hallucinations about stuff that isn't actually happening, like that woman appearing to him. Just terrible.

Honestly, it was a total miss compared to what the movie should have been.
