Just finished listening. First impression: it’s solid. 👍 I'm particularly drawn to 'this Boy'.

The album is phenomenal. There isn't a single bad track on here.
Everything hits—"do you want to," "the fallen," "you are the reason I m leaving,"
honestly, it's all top-tier.👍 👍 👍

I actually just gave him a listen for the first time this morning, so I can't give a full breakdown yet—but my initial take? Pretty solid. It’s got a really upbeat, bright vibe to it. I'll circle back once I've had more time to sit with it and give you my real impressions.

The headline in The New York Times is a joke:

Seriously? They’ve swept every award out there, their new album pre-orders hit 2 million, and this guy is still hedging his bets by saying they "could be" a global act 😁

Franz Ferdinand? They’re hands down one of the best bands on the planet.
I’ve been spinning their album on loop for about a week now, and honestly, everything hits. Most of the tracks are absolute bangers that stuck with me from the very first listen. But what more can I even say... it's Franz Ferdinand. 🙂

Word on the street is they’re starting to sound just like nomeansno. 😂

The album is solid, but compared to their first one, it’s just missing that certain something—at least for me. You don't really get that vibe from tracks like Jacqueline, taka me out, or Auf Achse. Still, it's a good record, and I honestly hope they keep this momentum going.

Well, of course it feels like it's missing from the second one—you can't exactly find those hits on the new record when they were all staples of the first! 😁

No way, really? I had no idea. I was just trying to say that they don't have many tracks that hit that hard—at least not for my taste. But hey, I'm starting to sound like a broken record; they're great as they are, and I hope they keep it up.

I feel the exact same way.
That first one was definitely more catchy.
This current track feels like a total rip-off... just a bit weaker overall.
Still, it's decent enough.😬

It's nothing out of the ordinary, though... just a decent enough record

Honestly, I don't really own anything that's super special anymore, but I actually started liking that album—I used to blast it on my old iPod back when I was living up in Seattle... anyway, I ended up tossing it in the bin along with my laptop. My computer and Windows have this whole complicated relationship—it hates the OS almost as much as I do—I think I had to reinstall everything twice just to get it to recognize the system properly.

So annoyed. 😠
