I have 4 GB of RAM, so I see 64-bit is better. I'll stick with this Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. But how do I fix this admin issue? It keeps saying I'm not an administrator when I actually am. How can I turn that off? I set a password just now, but I'm not sure if that's what does it.
thanks for that.

Did you set an admin password? Just this much more and you'll be all set 😉

Could use a little help here..
Basically, I'm using Ashampoo burning studio 6 to burn some software, and I'm trying to get Windows 7 onto a disc.
I've already got the file in an ISO format ready to go, now I just need to burn it to a DVD.. any idea how to do that properly?
I put together a quick link with a screenshot so you guys can see exactly what I'm looking at: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...601183504.png/
The thing is, I picked the first option in the menu, but it keeps throwing an error saying something isn't compatible..

Grab BurnAware for free
you can use it to create a DVD ISO
(just head over to the "burn image" option)

Probably "make boot ISO" 😉

I use Ashampoo myself and I've never really had issues burning ISO files. I usually do exactly what you described. Maybe if you could post the specific error message, it might make things a bit clearer. 🙂

I'm just getting a 'medium error occurred' message... I think I'll give it a shot using BurnAware instead.

Why would I need to make boot ISO if the file is already an ISO format?
I think I should just go with burn image, but I'm honestly not 100% sure 🤷

Because you can't just burn your file that way; you actually have to make boot ISO 😉

Got it, thanks!

If my brother had just installed legitimate Windows 7, the computer probably wouldn't be shutting itself down. 🙂

I'm looking for some kind of gadget or software that tracks how many miles my mouse has traveled, plus things like total left and right clicks, and stuff like that.

How many miles has your mouse traveled? 😂🤣
I can't even believe this 😛
I mean, how many miles has my touchpad covered? Honestly, who cares... as long as it functions, it works.

At this rate, I'm expecting a massive thread on the forum soon: "How many miles has your mouse clocked?" followed by everyone posting screenshots of some tracking software. Go ahead, if that's what makes you people happy, for God's sake...

Just one question... what on earth would you even need those kinds of gimmicks for? I fail to see the purpose in measuring mouse travel distance or tracking click counts... it seems like the sort of thing people invent when they have far too much time on their hands, and then the people who actually use them are the ones with even less to do...😕😕

On another note, I'm wondering why my GIF animations won't play properly in the standard Windows photo viewer. When I open them, I just get a static image... everything worked perfectly fine back on XP...

@ Gerald White44

The thing is, Windows 7 just doesn't support that functionality out of the box. Your best bet is to gifview 😉

I don't run Vista myself, but you can still lay out what's giving you trouble. 🙂
