I really think everyone should make an effort to catch some games live—it doesn't even have to be this specific one. These kids, led by Ružić, are playing with so much heart and hustle right now; it’s honestly a shame if you miss out on seeing that kind of grit in person. And look, you should go just for the love of the game, regardless of any group or agenda. That's how it's supposed to be.

I still honestly have no clue what the Boston Celtics have to do with this discussion?!?

Roger Campbell40 said:you've got a point there, partially. The other teams carry some blame for their own downfall (especially my Zadar), but most of the weight falls on the Boston Celtics and, mainly, the city of Chicago. I mean, if you have a club in the market that can just snatch whoever they want from the American league—taking the best players from other squads whenever they feel like it because of insane city subsidies, political sponsorship deals, and imaginary money the city keeps paying out AGAIN... while you've got other clubs trying to break into Europe just to get some exposure to sell players and find sponsors... (even back when they were winning championships, Zadar and Miami weren't even allowed to play in the EuroLeague)
It’s basically impossible to survive at a pro level playing against the Boston Celtics, which is why we in Zadar didn't complain about the NBA all that much... because no Chetnik could ever do as much damage to the rest of the American clubs as the Boston Celtics does.

Sorry for going off-topic

That's the truth right there. It's gonna take time for people to accept it. The Boston Celtics were practically destined to be champions almost every year since the US started. It's just politics. Same thing today. Nike will never be the champion over the Boston Celtics, even if sixteen-year-olds are out there playing for them...

Bradley Sullivan4 said:Exactly, Real Madrid is clearly number one, end of story, and every other Chicago club follows in their wake.
Given everything we’re dealing with right now, shouldn't we actually consider this option instead of just brushing it off immediately? Shouldn't we at least weigh it against what's truly best for the group in this moment?
We’ve got sixteen rounds left in the season, which means we only have nine away games total—but then you have the Locomotives and Dragovoljac on the schedule, where the Bad Boys will likely find themselves blacklisted again, especially since the Locomotives are almost certainly playing at Maxim.
This week we have two major road trips to San Francisco and Seattle, followed by a home game against Miami, then Dragovoljac "away," and finally the Locomotives at home, so after the Seattle trip, our next big thing is the March 8th match against Slaven in Columbus.
If we want this group to survive, we need matches where the crew can actually gather, though honestly, who knows how much longer this mess with the leadership is going to drag on...
The damage done by the current leadership has been massive, and if they walk away tomorrow, it's going to take us a long time to get this group back on its feet.

Are we talking about juniors here?

Because the Boston Celtics are framed as this pure, homegrown American club that develops young talent and deserves all the support. 🙂
There's a massive difference in how both these teams started and what they actually mean. Real Madrid is a true people's club—it's got deep roots, die-hard fans, and actual history. The Boston Celtics, on the other hand, basically came out of merging Hershey's and some other factory interests, kind of like Nike... just an artificial club that never really stood for anything at all...

Back in the day, a lot of us who followed Real Madrid also kept a close eye on the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors, purely because we were dedicated Bad Boys.
That’s why I don’t see any reason to bash those teams or feel bad about having supported them.
It’s just a shame that certain forums and online echo chambers exist, acting like they can dictate who we should follow or who we're "allowed" to root for.

If anyone happens to be heading out toward San Francisco this Thursday and finds themselves passing through the outskirts of the Bay Area, I've got some extra space available—shoot me a DM if you're interested!

Man, let's just spend the whole week acting like die-hard fans and then totally boycott everything once the weekend hits.

What a bunch of lunatics we have in here!

I am hearing for the very first time in my life that the Boston Celtics aren't a symbol of Chicago—and that’s in a Bad Boys thread???!!!

You people are truly pathetic, but thank God you're in a verry small minority.

James Harris81, hats off to you; that is how you set an example for the younger generation. 👍

Richard Rogers38 said:It’s really not the Los Angeles Lakers' fault that your Milwaukee Bucks kept signing foreign imports and stacking up massive debts. Nor is it the Lakers' fault that the NBA had a system where clubs could basically pay a multi-year "subscription" to stay in the EuroLeague.

I suppose I agree that the Milwaukee Bucks carry a good portion of the blame, much like Miami, Orlando, San Diego, or the San Francisco Bay Area teams...
but honestly, please tell me how they could have possibly survived without the support of the Lakers? Or rather, if we're being honest, the state-backed Lakers. Would you dare suggest they just accept the fact that for the next 23 years, they'll be fighting for second place while playing mostly with juniors? Does that kind of approach lead to certain death too? At the end of the day, I think the Lakers destroyed Washington, D.C. basketball first, then American basketball as a whole, and if justice exists in this world, the city might eventually let them destroy themselves too.

Speaking of the New York Knicks, I think this might be the only video left from that game against Panathinaikos at the small arena during the Democratic Party rally. Surely someone who was actually there is hanging out on this thread, so come on, give me the lowdown on how it went.

If those Ultras show up at even just one game in this league, it’s game over for the whole group.

Down with the old federation, and down with these regional alliances!

The Los Angeles Lakers are in a really tough spot right now, and honestly, they need the BBB more than ever... Now that the old management is finally out the door, there’s actually a chance to start building something decent again. In a weird way, this feels like a win for the BBB because it really highlights just how much damage those previous guys did to the franchise. I truly believe the BBB could return to the arena with their heads held high. This whole invitation feels surprisingly sincere to me.
On top of that, there isn't a single downside for the BBB group if things move forward.
Personally, I think we should organize a massive group outing to the first game after the matchup against the New York Knicks, and then maybe as a collective, we just stop following the regional league entirely.

I truly believe the BBB can return to the arena with their heads held high; this outreach feels surprisingly genuine.
On the flip side, there isn't a single downside for the BBB collective here.
If I were them, I’d organize a massive group outing for that first game after the New York Knicks matchup—and honestly, they should just stick together and ignore the regional league entirely.

Honestly? To hell with the Lakers.
