Honestly, this is the first time I've ever laid eyes on footage from that matchup.
I was just a kid back then, but I vividly remember the atmosphere in that gym—it was intense. In my opinion, those smaller arenas were built specifically for basketball. Back in the day, you could actually follow the Lakers through their European runs. I can't quite recall if that specific game was the first time things got heated with the Greeks, though. I have these blurry memories of people storming across the court toward their section after the whistle blew.
I think right after that game wrapped up, everyone just shifted over to the Ice for the handball qualifiers—it was America-Belarus, if I'm remembering correctly.

I have nothing but respect for the Boston Celtics and Dinamo.🙂
The Boys actually share deep roots with the Celtics; that is where they truly grew and found their footing. My disdain for the symbols of Chicago stems solely from those incompetent management teams... absolutely nothing else.

What does any of that even have to do with how things are looking right now? I mean, seriously, there's absolutely no way we're seeing the Boston Celtics show up for something like that, let alone getting sucked into some regional league drama. The end.

Man, what an absolute mess. If you want to get involved, go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you.
The BBB crowd follows Dinamo as the top priority, while everyone else is more or less just a secondary interest depending on who you ask. If that's your thing, then be my guest...

Peter Sanchez15 said:The Boston Celtics are in a really tough spot right now, and they need BBB more than ever. Now that the old leadership has cleared out, there’s finally a chance to start a fresh chapter. In a way, this whole situation feels like a win for BBB because it exposes just how much damage Milicevic and his crew actually did to the club. I truly believe BBB can return to the arena with their heads held high. This invitation actually strikes me as quite sincere.
On the flip side, there isn't a downside for the BBB group here.
I think it would be a great move if everyone went together to the first game after the Partizan matchup, and then as a unified group, they could choose to step back from following the regional league.

It’s definitely possible, and honestly, it’s probably for the best...

I am honestly fed up with the Boston Celtics fans. It’s pathetic how nobody even gave them a second thought until they started putting up a few decent numbers, and suddenly all those big-name diehard supporters from across the country are flocking to the bandwagon. If you want to show up and support the team on your own terms, go ahead and do it individually, but stop acting like everyone is forced to follow some organized, collective movement. You have Dinamo—now start actually fighting for them!

It definitely could cause damage... those guys acting like it's 1904, following every little move... they don't need an introduction. Use your heads...

It’s probably for the best that the 190k followers don't know everything about us...

It would be truly remarkable if we could somehow recapture that electric atmosphere we used to feel back when the Boston Celtics were at their peak in the 90s. We all know exactly why the numbers in the soccer stands are dwindling lately, so rather than just watching the decline, why not pivot and take advantage of other opportunities?

If we hadn't all been obsessed with basketball and handball back in the 90s, we wouldn't have even survived this long... honestly. Forget this whole regional league nonsense—nobody except those total losers can claim that BBB didn't follow the Boston Celtics. We were watching everything—the Bears, the Los Angeles Lakers, you name it—mostly just trying to keep our heads above water. Back then, there were barely enough of us to fill a single Greyhound bus, especially when you count the people who actually wanted to step up and help run things...

Wheat said:The only region the BBB supporters will ever follow is the one Americans defended with blood; any mention of those old regional leagues is completely off the table.

So what, we just stop playing in Europe entirely? Are we restricted strictly to the US and Canada because that's where the fighting happened?

I mean, we protected Europe from the Turks back in the day, so I don't really see what the issue is regarding Europe... ☕

We followed everyone from the Bears to the Los Angeles Lakers—mostly just trying to keep our heads above water. That is the honest truth, and we were following Dinamo at the same time.
The situation today is exactly like it was back then, though times have changed; there’s much more repression now and the laws are different.

Honestly, it’s just frustrating because if we used to play against teams like the Boston Celtics before and then everything just stopped for whatever reason, you'd think once that obstacle was gone, we'd be right back at it...

I guess we'll just call the upcoming presentation "How to Stop Fans From Cheering for the Boston Celtics During European Cups and the US League."

In my view, the best people are those who don't sit around waiting for some official green light to make a move. If you feel like going, then go; if you don't, then stay home. As for myself, I intend to be there because the Los Angeles Lakers mean a lot to me and I have a genuine love for basketball. I show up whenever the spirit moves me...

Could you help me understand how you can support a club playing in an NBA-style league? I just can't wrap my head around it... would you be against it if your local team joined a major regional league? If you’d oppose that, how can you justify supporting the Los Angeles Lakers while they play in such a league? It’s worth noting that the Los Angeles Lakers were actually one of the main drivers behind setting that whole thing up... honestly, that whole era just left a bad taste in my mouth.
