You really think you can just breeze through without actually putting her on, snapping some pics, and showing us what we're working with? 🙂

(p.s. sorry for being such a ghost lately—I haven't been able to get back to the posts I actually replied to, life just got in the way 🙄 )

Charles Gomez4 said:Obsessed with my NEW dress! It just arrived via FedEx this morning, even though I only ordered it two days ago. The fit is perfect, length is spot on, and the fabric feels high-end. The lining is incredible—honestly, it’s like the quality you'd find in a custom DiCaprio suit.

Just a heads up, I grabbed the Tall version. It's designed for anyone 5'10" and up.

That sounds awesome! Any chance you could measure it around the bust (or maybe just tell me how the fit is there—is it tight?)—and also the waist, though that's less critical for me, just want to make sure it isn't super baggy. I really love the look; it seems perfect for more formal events.

Also, where does the length hit on you?

Thanks! 😍

Awesome! Could you measure her around the bust (maybe tell me the circumference and if it’s a tight fit)? Also the waist—not that I care as much, just want to make sure it doesn't gap too much. I really love it; it's perfect for more formal occasions.

How much length can you actually handle?

Bust is about 38 inches, assuming I measured the right spot. 🤣 My measurements are around 37-37, so it fits perfectly. It’s not some tight bodycon fit—it sits just right, which is exactly how these kinds of dresses should be. I can actually lift my arms without any issues; nothing feels restrictive.

The strap—I measured right where the buckle sits—is 36 inches, and it fits me perfectly. It’s not too tight. The length is exactly what I was looking for, hitting just below the knee. In my opinion, that's the best look for formal events. 🙂

Just thinking out loud about jewelry. A necklace isn't really my thing, and I don't wear bracelets much anyway. Plus, I'll be wearing white gold drop earrings for the event.

I've got a small chest—nothing much going on there. 🙂 Always the same story. 🙂

To me, this dress really gives off those fancy bracelet vibes, but you know... if you aren't wearing one. Some killer, statement earrings would look great too. Just—do yourself a favor and put your hair up. 🙂

Lorraine, once you get all dolled up for that big event, you’re gonna have a killer photo on your hands... just "crop" out the head, no biggie 😁

Just wanted to check in and say my blazer and shoes from River Island finally arrived 🙂 They were actually super fast, which caught me totally off guard. Since they just came via standard USPS, I figured it’d take forever, but it was only about ten days or so—including two weekends passing by.
I'll post some pics if I can track them down...
edit:
Found them...

As for those pants, Kioko, I'm definitely not trying them on. I've been spending way too much lately, so I think it's better if I just lay low for a bit 🙂

By the way, today's deals over at Castaluna are just insane 🙂

Ladies, I need a hand... looking for a winter jacket that doesn't look like something my grandma would wear. Just a casual parka. Someone mentioned Marks &Spencers... but their styles aren't really my thing. Anyone seen anything like that in Chicago? Looking for a size 14/16 or XL.

You might want to check out Target, H&M, Old Navy, or even Walmart—it really just comes down to how much cash you’re looking to drop. I know for a fact those spots carry standard sizing since I was on the same hunt last year. In the end, I just grabbed a basic black one from Target—lightweight, functional, and I think it cost me about $67.

Ladies, I picked up this dress at the Desigual in the Arena Mall. It's a size 12 and honestly? It fits perfectly—loose where it needs to be, tight where it counts. Highly recommend...

I don't know how many other retro fanatics are hanging out here like me, but 🙂

seriously, check out this. And the best part? You can actually send them your measurements so they sew everything to fit you perfectly. Or you can just pick a different length, go sleeveless, change the sleeves, or choose whatever neckline you want. 😁Absolute genius.

I am totally obsessed. 😍

I feel terrible. 😢

I'm down. That's definitely in my plans anyway. 🙂 Thanks.

Lorraine, once you get all cleaned up for that occasion, it'll make for a great photo. Just "crop" out the head—it won't be a big deal. 😁

Not bad. 🙂

Linda Johnson15, there are some amazing things at this link, like... This card. I am. 😍

So, I just ordered these from ASOS. They actually have a huge selection—these classic black ones looked the closest to what I usually pick up. I'll let you guys know if they're actually any good once they arrive. 🙂

Linda Johnson15, I already linked that site—those dresses are absolutely gorgeous 😍, but they only ship to the States 😢. Maybe I'll wait for a special occasion and see if I can charm someone into bringing them back for me—they really do have the cutest stuff, plus they do custom sizing 👍.

Btw, they had the long version of these pants in every size overnight—now the long version is gone, and that 7AC343420170 code for 20% off isn't working either (I already used mine tonight).

Asos is acting up again 😲.

Are they too stretchy? That was my only real hesitation—I didn't bother checking the specs, but I saw they have 7% elastane. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of those classic black stretchy leggings; I always feel like non-stretch ones look better on me. But, hey, for the price I paid on Code, you really can't complain. 🙂 So, I gave them a shot.

Not really, they're just plain black trousers. 🙂Soft, sure, but there's zero stretch.

Woohoo! 😍

I think I’ve officially finished my manic spree of posting clothing finds in this thread. 🤣

If I happen to stumble upon a decent blazer, maybe a faux leather jacket—nothing too "biker," mind you—or if I need to find some affordable boots that actually look like real boots and won't slide all over the snow, they'll be going straight onto my list. *Seriously, even growing up in the suburbs didn't teach me how to walk like a normal human being on this awful ice and slush.*😳*
Maybe these? What do you guys think? Something a bit more neutral and chunky—something that pairs well with long cotton skirts and a basic look. *I'm obsessed with flowy long skirts.* These soles look like a total slip hazard to me 😂. Just keep in mind, I am incredibly clumsy. 🙂

I'll probably grab some proper boots from Nordstrom in a few months, but that'll have to wait—my budget suddenly vanished thanks to a new couch. 🙂 I'm really digging these😬 though, even if there are at least 3 or 4 other pairs I'd buy right this second.

That first link? It’ll handle the wet stuff just fine, though maybe not great on ice 🙂 and look, I’m basically a pro at slipping and sliding, so I only trust those rubberized Jon Boots—they're a total safe bet 🙂
Duo’s got such low-profile shoes that my Amex card practically showed up at my door and dragged me off in a totally random direction 🙂
But man, those last boots are very nice! 😍

Still on maternity leave, so don't tempt me... for now, I'm just here to lurk and read what you guys have to say. That should last until spring, and by then, I'm planning on getting back into a smaller circle myself 🤣
