Patrick Moore38 said:Hey ladies, I posted here about a week ago because my period was a week late, but the test I took at Chronos came back negative. The issue now is that my period still hasn't arrived, and today marks 15 days since I was due. I don't have any typical symptoms, though I did run a fever for a few days and dealt with intense headaches—but honestly, I figured that was just a summer flu passing through. The only really weird thing I've noticed lately is some serious bloating 😛 that I've never experienced quite like this before. So, my question is: is it actually possible for a test to be wrong after being a full week late?
I had my regular OB-GYN checkup just a few months ago and everything checked out fine, so I'm completely lost as to what's going on here. 🙂🙂

Hard to say anything useful here besides... just take another test. ☕

(I'm in the same boat tomorrow, mine is wayyy late—my first one was negative too...) 😁

And look, even if you are pregnant, you have no idea how many women would give anything to be in your shoes right now 😉

🙂
well, okay, true—but I am way, WAY too young to be getting knocked up right now, so... yeah😉👍

I mean, I don't think it’s necessarily "too small" if you're actually being active... no offense intended😉
At the end of the day, everyone knows their own mind when it comes to being ready to become a parent....

I already took one around 6 AM, and still nothing. It’s late, and my chest has been killing me for 10 days now—it's driving me insane.

I was expecting it around the 14th or 16th. For example, I got it on the 16th last time, and usually, it arrives a day or two early or right on schedule. Today is already the 19th.

First test was on the 16th, second one this morning. Still zero sign of my period. Usually, I see a little pink spotting a day before everything finally "starts."😁

But my body seems more interested in making a baby than anything else. 😁

She’d probably be pretty shocked if she actually knew how much I've got going on🙄

Heh, I’m holding out hope that he’s just a subpar tester—honestly, let's just give it a few more days and then we can head over to Gin's. 😬..
I’m seeing some similar signs over here—it’s definitely hitting me too. 🙂 They’ve been killing us for days now—it feels like a relentless grind—and I actually took a test just two days ago that came back negative.
It’s day 28 of my cycle and still absolutely nothing to report... just total silence on that front.
That longing for a baby... it just seems to grow heavier with every passing day. It’s becoming this constant, quiet ache that follows me around. So, tell me—what's your take on all this?
My husband says we should hold out for another day or two—just so we can sit here and nurse this little bit of hope while it lasts. 😍

So, I guess we’re cut from the same cloth then. Only thing is, mine takes a bit longer to kick in, doesn't it?

I don’t even know if anyone else has run into this yet... but can two different cheap tests—one done right on schedule and another one a few days late—actually both be wrong? Is it even possible for them to be false positives? Or am I just losing my mind here?

I’m not exactly a spring chicken anymore, am I? Maybe my body just isn't playing by the same rules it used to. Who knows. Besides, every pregnancy seems to hit you differently—it's never a carbon copy. Last time around, once I finally realized I was actually pregnant, my breasts were killing me. Like, seriously painful for days on end. And I didn't even bother taking a test until nine days after my period was late, and wouldn't you know it... positive.

I’ve got this nagging feeling—yeah, I really do—that this test was rushed through way too early. It feels premature. Honestly? I feel like my hands are tied on this one. What choice do I have?

Look, I wanted to say this earlier, but I didn't want to come off like some kind of monster. But honestly? It’s just the truth. I have a fifteen-year-old son, and he’s still sitting there watching SpongeBob. 🤣 Just me and my brother. He’s basically glued to his setup—either grinding away at some video games, lost in his headphones, or just zoning out to cartoons. Same old story, really. Is there anything else to do? Probably not.

I don’t know about things lately, but the way girls are growing up today? It just doesn't sit right with me. Everything feels rushed. They’re jumping into adulthood before they even realize what’s happening. They dive headfirst into all this heavy stuff, acting like they have nothing but time, completely forgetting that childhood isn't some infinite resource. You blink, and suddenly the innocence is gone. One minute you're a kid, the next you're expected to be an adult, a woman, a mother... it all happens way too fast. Is anyone actually slowing down anymore? I doubt it.

Just soak up your childhood while you can. You’re still young—seriously, you’ve got so much time ahead of you. There's plenty of room for everything else later... the sex, the romance, all that heavy worrying. It'll all be there when you get there. For now? Just breathe.

Just enjoy your freedom while you still can.

I mean, I’m telling you this from the bottom of my heart—mother to whatever you are. I really do.

I’m about four or five days late, though I did take an early detection test three days ago and it came back negative.
Usually, my breasts get quite sore and swollen right before my period starts, and they actually felt a bit more sensitive and prominent about a week ago. My period hasn't arrived yet, but I noticed some thick, yellowish discharge yesterday, and I've had these mild cramps in my lower abdomen over the last few days—the kind that feel just like my usual PMS.
My husband is already jokingly picking out names for the baby.

I think that, even if M is running a bit behind schedule, if that test comes back negative, then there’s just no pregnancy...

Well, I suppose I can't be certain, though I did start questioning if the test was actually reliable since I haven't seen my period yet
I think I'll just wait a few more days, and if nothing happens, I'll probably just run another test

Still nothing on my end today either. It’s running about a week behind schedule. 😁

I think I'll hold off for a few more days, but if nothing shows up soon, I’m grabbing that third test kit!

I can't quite remember if I saw this mentioned here before, but didn't someone else deal with two negatives and then suddenly hit a positive after maybe ten days?
Does anyone know if that actually happens?

😠 Everything is just fucking broken, it’s all gone to hell. 😳

But hey, the data doesn't lie. 🤣

As for everyone else? I'm betting 👍they're all going to be in the red.

Lindy Lindy, I’m honestly so sorry—it feels like I’m right there in the trenches with you. I’m already three days behind schedule now, and even though my second test came back negative, I can't even begin to pinpoint where this whole mess started. Everything just seems to be moving at its own sluggish pace lately. 😱 Not to mention, my back is still absolutely killing me, 🙂 just constant, throbbing pain along with all those other useless symptoms that don't actually help anything.
..It's all just a waste of time. 😢..I'm going to go find my husband and then maybe 🙂

^It’s pretty obvious these crazy temperature swings are messing with me. We were just out by the coast, too—going from the freezing inland air straight into that California heat, and then on the way back, hitting a sudden drop from 90 degrees down to 55? Yeah, maybe that played a part in all this.

Ugh, now that I’m feeling all on edge, I can just blame my hormones and call it a day...

I’m crossing my fingers for you. Hopefully, it isn't quite like what I'm dealing with. At least I've got two—(and trust me, they don't smell great)—plus my chest has been killing me for ten days straight. My period was late by a week, too.
