Honestly, what can I even say... 🙄rolleyes: I suspect everything is interconnected—it’s just that we haven't quite figured out the scale, the mechanics, or the underlying reasons why...
I feel like a complete wreck lately—just totally useless, really—and if I'm being honest, I'm counting down the days until my period arrives so I can finally be purged of all these ridiculous hormones. 🤷

I mean, let’s be real about pregnancy—if you're 5 or 6 days late and the test says negative, there’s no baby there.
Last month, I was 10 days late, the tests were all negative, and of course, the culprit was just a follicular cyst...
It's nice to stay hopeful, but you have to face reality... Am I being too blunt? Hahaha...

^It’s not you being brutal. It’s just life and nature doing what they do.

Think about how many women out there just get pregnant without a second thought? Some have kids, some deal with miscarriages, some put them up for adoption. It happens constantly.
But then there’s us—and honestly, I really thought I was done being part of this group. Every single month, we're just sitting here waiting for those days to arrive. We find ourselves glued to the news during the FIFA World Cup, but instead of watching the game, we're gripped by this constant, gnawing fear. Will it happen? Won't it? Is it actually happening? We spend all our time listening to every little twitch or ache in our bodies, still nursing that tiny, desperate hope for a miracle...

And then, when it finally does happen? It’s brutal. For me, it’s absolutely brutal. And I know it’s the same for every other woman out there who wants this more than anything but just can't make it happen.

I suppose the bad luck caught up with me today 👎
It isn't a massive blow, really, since we’ve only just started getting serious about this endeavor...😁 ... I mean... we have put in work before, but perhaps not with such a noble purpose in mind

Just wanted to share an update: after my period was twenty days late and I had a negative test on day seven of missing it, it finally showed up today... so apparently, a twenty-day delay is totally possible. It’s clear those tests taken just three or four days after a missed period aren't reliable.

Hey ladies 😉

Well, mine finally showed up too 😳... whether it was brutal or not is debatable, but honestly, I’m just relieved those hormones are finally starting to settle down a bit 🙄
and maybe then I can actually get back to some semblance of productivity... though God knows how much I love this constant "rah-rah" motivational nonsense 😂
Ladies, if you're expecting these rock-solid figures to stay exactly where they are, you're dreaming!!

Man, I am such a mess. Started my period this morning and everything just decided to hit me at once.

It’s been one thing after another all day, 🤣🤣🤣.

But honestly, admit it, things feel way better now that it’s evening. That bloating is finally subsiding. Yesterday? I was a total wreck. Seriously, I looked three months pregnant—just completely swollen like a damn frog.

Ladies, look, it is what it is. Whatever happens, happens. It’s the 21st today, so I guess I’ve got maybe another 5 to 7 days before image is gone and we can all finally dive back into life...image then there's 🙂 and image, and then we just sit around waiting for the next cycle to show up—hopefully with more positives than negatives, though let's be real, we'll probably deal with this image again too.

Hey ladies 😉

Of course it’s possible, unfortunately... Not every delay means you're pregnant. You really ought to just head to the OB-GYN for an ultrasound to figure out what's actually going on. Usually, it's just a follicular cyst... nothing to lose sleep over...

Hehe, Jessica Vaughn, I’m actually not even looking to get pregnant right now—not for at least another year or two while I finish up my degree—but after being ten days late, I started getting suspicious...
At least now I’ll know for next time so I don't go through this unnecessary stress🙂...
Good luck to you all😉

Hehehe, 😂 you actually gave me a good laugh!! But it’s the truth—I was feeling just as bloated as you... At least things are easier now ☕ ,, just trying to gather enough energy to make it through the end of the month 😵
And hopefully there'll be more ups than downs 🎉🎉

I'm 13 days late. My first test was negative on day seven, but the second one I took this past Tuesday—day eleven—came back positive. Heading to the OBGYN this Friday to get everything checked out. Fingers crossed...

Man, lucky you... Congrats!!!

Fingers crossed that everything is healthy and everything’s looking good. We're all rooting for you over here...🤣
We’re still stuck in the loop ourselves...

Next month we have another round of the "lottery," where we find out if we get a big win or just another loss. 😁

I'm crossing my fingers for myself, too... We weren't even planning this (we just got married last month), so it totally caught me off guard. But now I've already convinced myself I'm pregnant... We'll find out for sure on Friday when the test results come in.🙂

Honestly, if the test was positive, you're pregnant. Congrats!😍

You're right about that. I saw my doctor today to get my beta levels checked (it came back at 1350), and I'm officially five weeks along. She didn't do an ultrasound yet, though—apparently, it's still way too early for that.

Congrats!!

It's way too soon for an ultrasound. You wouldn't even see anything besides maybe a tiny little speck on the screen. There'll be a second appointment later on. 🙂

Hey there.

Sorry if this isn't quite the right sub for this kind of thing, so feel free to move it wherever it actually belongs...

So, I've been sleeping with this girl, and the last time we actually had sex was about 11 days ago, but now her period is running about 9 or 10 days late. To be clear, I didn't finish inside her, but there have been some questionable moments involving some discharge she's been dealing with since we started seeing each other. She told me it’s basically just acting like lubricant—sort of like how a woman gets wet naturally—and that it might carry trace amounts of sperm, even if it's minimal... On top of all that, she deals with some hormonal imbalances that have caused her period to be off by a few days in the past.

What I'm really trying to wrap my head around is the whole ovulation thing and the actual odds of getting pregnant... specifically, is there any real danger from sperm being present just two days before her period was supposed to start?

Also, if anyone knows where else I should be looking for info on this, or which kind of specialist I should be reaching out to or calling, I’d really appreciate the guidance...

Just buy her a test so she can take it, or have her see her OB-GYN. You aren't going to figure this out just by guessing.

I can't just pull those numbers out of thin air, obviously! But if I actually sit down and plug in all the variables... how likely does the math say it really is?
