Looking for a specialist...

I am looking for some recommendations for a reliable gynecologist (I have no preference regarding gender, so either a male or female doctor would be perfectly fine).
Ideally, I would prefer someone covered by Medicare, though if you don't know of anyone within that network, I am certainly open to seeing someone privately.
Thank you.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice, feel free to send a private message too. Which hematologist or oncologist has the most experience when it comes to diagnosing and treating multiple myeloma?
Thanks!
It would probably be Boris Labar. He used to work at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Since he’s over 65 now, he’s moved into private practice at a clinic.
I'm sure there are plenty of great specialists out there who actually trained under him back at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Ideally someone covered by Medicare, but if you don't know anyone under the plan, private is totally fine too.
Thanks!

Does anyone have any leads?

I’ve heard about Dr. Kovac over at Dubrava Hospital, but it looks like he doesn't take private patients, and I really need someone in private practice since the patient isn't an American citizen.
thanks
I don't see any real issue there; just because a doctor works at a public hospital here in the States doesn't mean they can't see someone without citizenship.🤷
You just head to the administration office and pay for the exam, the diagnostics, the procedure...
It ends up costing basically the same thing you'd pay a private specialist anyway.😉

I'm not entirely sure what specific help you're looking for, but I found Ivan Golubiček to be incredibly helpful; he works privately over at Abargo Rehab in Lanište.

It's elbow pain, by the way—thanks so much for the recommendation!

I couldn't find a dedicated thread for this so I'm just dropping it here—I need to head down to the general hospital in Miami for an ultrasound (even though I’m usually out in the islands), but since I normally get all my checkups done up in New York, I don't know the first thing about the gynecologists down there. Like, who works which days, who’s actually good, who’s a total waste of time... please hit me with some advice or recommendations if you know anyone!

Hi there,
Since I recently landed a job and moved to Chicago, I need to transfer my medical records. It’s just not practical for me to drive all the way back to my hometown every time I catch a sore throat or something similar. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good primary care physician in the Trnje area? I'm looking specifically around Jarun, Vrbani, Remiza, or Trnje Square.
Thanks!

I'm repeating myself here 🙂

I need a recommendation for a solid neurologist in Miami, private practice. We're looking at circulation issues and neck vertebrae problems that are messing with my vision, so if anyone knows someone who can actually handle that properly... so far the only name I've been thrown is Dr. Sučević. Does anyone know anything more about them?
Thanks!

I'm looking for the exact same thing—and I need it ASAP!

Does anyone happen to know where I can find a directory of general practitioners who are actually accepting new patients right now?

Well, obviously. Calling Medicare just a single entity is such an oversimplification, isn't it? It’s way too broad a term to actually mean anything specific.

It's Dr. Domagoj Slavić over at Rudeš. He does odd mornings and even afternoons, I guess.

Any recommendations on where to go for a first contact lens exam? I need somewhere with a quick turnaround where I don't have to shell out a ton of cash—it's actually pretty urgent, so if anyone knows where the wait times are shortest, let me know. I'm based in Chicago, THANKS!
