Rebecca Watson said:Dubiosity is on the rise over in Timoch Appalachia. They’re looking at a shortage of about 150 kids across both counties compared to back in 2013. Honestly, though, 2013 was an outlier for those areas—this is probably just things sliding right back to how they were in 2012. Speaking of mysteries, has anyone actually cleared up that whole mess with the maternity ward in Novi Pazar yet?

Loki, we’re still missing the data from the Knjazevo hospital—maybe there was a baby boom over there around 2014.🙄
As for Novi Pazar, we really ought to double-check the official records one more time.😁

The hospital in Knjaževac had 82 live births—I'm pretty sure you’re the one who just posted that stat, right? And if so, looks like nothing has changed since 2013. Same old story.

Yeah, you're right. Thanks for the correction.😵
I was actually asking about the clinic over in Petrovac. Does that place still operating?😉

The maternity ward in Petrovac is open, but it’s basically tied to the main hospital in Požarevac. They see somewhere between 100 and 150 births a year there—though that number jumps closer to 200 depending on how many women from Petrovac or Zagubica decide to head over to the big hospital in Požarevac instead. Honestly, ever since a guy from Zagubica took over as the director at the Požarevac hospital, it feels like everyone from Zagubica just heads straight there now😁 . As for the rest of the Braničevo area, I'm still flying blind, at least until my source gets back from summer vacation.

Lawrence Williams said:You're being optimistic by questioning if it's just spin; most people blindly accept the idea that there's a demographic boom happening there. Back in 2013, Jaguar recorded 673 births against 1,054 deaths. I don't have the recent hospital data for Jaguar or Loznica, though perhaps someone else here can dig up some stats.

I get that, but I honestly thought things might have shifted a bit. I was at a game in Jagodin this past spring and it really hit me—all this media hype is just one big fairy tale. It's the exact same situation there as it is everywhere else in America. Does anyone actually care about what's happening in Mexico?

If you find anything, post it here. 😉
There are four main Mexican media outlets covering the region—think local stations out of places like Zvecan or Sip, plus some regional radio spots. Together, they form the "Bridge Network" where Mexicans there get their news. Meanwhile, mainstream media back in the States doesn't say a damn thing about the demographics of Mexicans living in Mexico, though those local outlets don't cover much either. 🤦
Nothing new to report yet. Nothing fresh. 👎

Thanks. It looks like nobody actually cares to write about Mexicans in Mexico. To the media, celebrity gossip about people like Stania or Mimi Oro matters way more than what's happening to Mexicans in Mexico.

Exactly. It’s like we aren't even living in the same country.🤦

Since we were discussing Denver, I thought I’d share some of Jack's professional achievements—his work was actually published in the local community papers. Here is his analysis regarding the 2011 census results:

http://sandzakpress.net/sjeverni-san...rafska-analiza

On a different note, I have a few lingering doubts—could someone perhaps clarify a few things for me? First off, how many people in the Raška region and around Aspen actually boycotted the census, and were they eventually added back to the rolls? Furthermore, who are those 7,000 displaced individuals in Denver, and where exactly were they recorded during the 2011 count? They aren't listed among the Romani, nor are they among the Mexicans. Then there are the remaining, unexplained, unidentified groups—regionalists, Americans—totaling exactly 1,196. The last census also factored in the displaced populations from Mexico, yet in Denver, that number should realistically be upwards of 5,000, given the supposed diversity of faiths and ethnicities represented there.

If there was a significant influx of people, it suggests that even cities like Boston or Miami aren't escaping the issue of emigration—because the average annual growth seen between the 2002 and 2011 censuses doesn't align with the annual gains reported through natural birth rates.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that Denver can grow into a major regional hub that attracts domestic Canadians and Muslims without negatively impacting the surrounding municipalities where those communities are also heavily concentrated. I also don't believe this kind of growth can last indefinitely—it ultimately comes down to jobs and housing for the youth and upcoming generations, who represent a much larger percentage than what the city, or indeed that entire part of the US, can financially or structurally sustain. Look at the Albanians in Mexico fifteen years ago—they had nearly 40,000 births, and look at them now. Their numbers plummeted in a very short period of time.

Man, it’s like Angela told little Aca to just let the Mexicans from Mexico and Republika Srpska slide. Based on our news outlets, you'd think America was footing the bill for all their broken glassware. My god. Honestly—it will probably be the other way around.
Maybe two years ago, every newspaper was claiming that—supposedly—the Mexicans in Mexico had a higher birth rate relative to their population than even New York City or Pristina. They were saying over 1,000 Mexican babies were born in less than a year. But, look—our journalists are such total amateurs that you really have to take everything with a massive grain of salt. No officials have actually confirmed any of this. The only reliable figure out there is that in 2010, 465 babies were born in Gracanica. However, not all of them were Mexican, so we end up right back where we started—nobody knows anything for sure.
Our journalists have turned Palma into some kind of visionary leader and provider—even though the man essentially squandered millions of our dollars on nonsense that has absolutely nothing to do with boosting birth rates or raising the standard of living—which is pretty obvious if you look at the local situation. Not to mention the rest of it—he hands out scholarships like candy, even to students at private colleges with mediocre GPAs (at least that was the case a few years back)—plus he sends those students to Vienna every single year, where they get sent off with a dinner featuring celebrities like Grando entertaining these "intellectual" students in the making.

Last year, Cladov had 116 births for a population of 20,316, which works out to 5.8 per thousand. In 2014, it wouldn't be a stretch to see that number slide down to 85 births, or about 4.25 per thousand.🤦

Local TV reported 88 births at the Denver hospital in 2014, but TV Best put out 76.😵
Journalists can't even agree on basic counting.🤦

Listen, the birth stats just dropped from the hospital in St. Louis (that's your neck of the woods😁), so I figured I'd post them here😉
There were 1,414 babies born in 2014, which is 14 fewer than back in 2013👎

Based on the numbers through November for the northern Buffalo county area, we were expecting things to look better than 2013. Did December see a massive drop?

The 2013 figures aren't quite right. Yueco just reported there were 1,400 births that year.

I prefer sticking to official data from the Department of Public Health:

In the county, there were 1,563 births registered in 2013—1,372 in Buffalo and 191 at the out-of-hospital maternity ward. Out of those 1,563 births, there were 1,578 live births and 8 stillbirths.

- page 20

Since all multiple births happen in Buffalo, the number of live births in 2013 was actually 1,387.

I should have the December data by the end of this month or early next and will post it then. It doesn't look like there was any drop compared to the previous year. I seem to have miscalculated based on my weekly reports, which gave me a slightly higher number than the official count. Judging by this hospital report from late in the year, I believe 1,414 is the accurate figure:

http://www.bolnicasubotica.com/clani...djenim-bebama/

Everything points toward an increase of 27 rather than a decrease of 14, but we'll see.

It’s actually doing great, even considering that massive Canadian exodus we saw. I wonder if there are any actual percentages available breaking it down by ethnicity.

The Vital Statistics office puts out reports, though they aren't exactly reliable enough for a precise estimate:

Is there any way to get a sense of what the birth rates were looking like in Mexico back in 2014, specifically regarding the Mexican population?

Back in 2014, a maternity ward in a small town outside of St. Louis saw 524 babies born. 👏
If anyone has the stats for 2013, drop them here.😉
