Look, I'm speaking from experience here—those cakes run about 230 bucks$90.

I suspect she’s already aware of the price point, given that it's explicitly listed right there on the website... however, the site fails to mention how many people are actually included in that quote 😉

I was actually asking about the quantity to figure out the price, but thanks anyway😉
I'm going to look into that topic a bit more, velvetraven12
thanks girls🙂

My bad, I totally misread your message—I thought you were asking about the price. If you want, I can check how many people one cake actually serves, since my cousin works at their shop.

It's all good,
if you wouldn't mind checking that for me, it would be great to have the info directly from the source.😍

So here's the deal—over at their place, they sell this cake pre-cut into 14 slices, but she mentioned you could actually squeeze out up to 16 if you wanted. It all just comes down to how thick you slice it, obviously. Cheers.

Hey everyone!
I see there's a whole debate going on about wedding cakes and other big celebrations, so I just felt the need to vent about my experience with that bakery near the downtown farmers market...
Just something to think about before you trust them with anything important, because they might just leave you hanging when it matters most! 😢

So, I ordered this cake as a gift, right? I requested delivery for Sunday afternoon since I needed it first thing Monday morning. The cake arrived, I paid the delivery fee, whatever... then I actually look at it—the damn cheesecake was completely cracked! Because they used these super cheap, flimsy containers without any actual support, the whole thing just split into four jagged pieces!!! And I was supposed to give THAT to someone as a gift????

Anyway, I tried to "fix" it so nobody would notice, but obviously, that’s impossible because we aren't talking about a little crack here, we're talking a full-on FRACTURE. And all of this just because the owner is being stingy with decent packaging! When I ordered the exact same kind of cake from Lobby, they gave me proper packaging and that cake could have traveled with me all the way to Mars and still been perfect. AND IT COST THE SAME AMOUNT, not even a penny more!!!!

I was just beyond devastated... the whole moment was ruined, basically. It was awful! I couldn't do anything else or order from somewhere else in time. I felt so pathetic.

Long story short, I left a review on their website, which they obviously didn't publish, but they did promise to send me a replacement cake. So I figured, fine, whatever, just deliver it to this address and let me know once it's done. Well, five days have passed and still nothing has arrived!!!

Then today they hit me up saying they've notified the person that they'll be delivering it. Like, seriously, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO BAKE A CAKE AND DROP IT OFF? Not to mention the surprise factor is totally dead by now! They had the address, and the phone number is just for technical stuff, not for giving some six-month notice that a cake might show up one day.

Basically, after six days, there's still no sign of the cake, and even the one they eventually sent tasted weird and was covered in these strange crumbs that tasted disgusting. Those were never in the picture before, either.

Anyway, my advice is if you have an important occasion coming up, especially a big birthday or a wedding, please find another bakery. Because these guys might actually deliver your treats, but it'll probably be six months after the date you actually agreed on.

P.s.
Not to mention the delivery guy harassed me all week asking why the delivery wasn't until five o'clock and if there was any way I could get it earlier...

Oh man... I really hope they don't screw us over here—I mean, we do know each other, after all... 🤷

I am not suggesting the media isn't telling the truth, but we have never encountered any issues ourselves; in fact, it has always been quite the opposite, especially since we've always just gone out and bought our own desserts on our own terms.

mistygull12 said:Well, I will be heading over to Whole Foods tomorrow as well, as I have an appointment scheduled with the manager at 5:00 PM, so I intend to gather all the necessary details... I am looking to pick up about forty-five pounds of supplies for the holiday rush and, of course, a cake, but if there is anything specific you all might need, I would be more than happy to inquire on your behalf...

Do you have to give them a heads-up that you're coming, or can you just swing by and grab some samples to try?

Ladies, just a heads-up: at the IBM wedding fair, they were handing out half a kilogram of pastries for free last year (if I recall correctly). It’s actually a great chance to get a little taste and see how delicious they really are. 🙂

So how do we actually prove we're newlyweds? 🤷

My mom actually walked away with half a pound of free treats from a local bakery yesterday. At first, I told her they seemed a bit too self-assured about their quality... but once I realized which bakery it was, my reaction was a hard NO!
After taking a bite myself, though, I had a total change of heart. I ended up bringing some over to a friend who is currently eight months pregnant and getting ready for her big wedding day. She called me just ten minutes later to tell me how much she absolutely loved them! I even took them to a choir rehearsal for a taste test, and everyone there agreed they were fantastic. Honestly, I think I've found my go-to dessert. We’re still planning to try these other cookies we heard rumors about, but honestly, it’s only so I can prove just how much better these ones are! 😁

Wait, so did everyone actually try the same half-pound batch, or did you grab more later? Honestly, this whole thing gives me major Jesus vibes—you know, the part where He’s out there multiplying the fish and bread. It's like, one little half-pound of cake and suddenly you, your friend, and the whole choir have had a taste🙂

There really is no need for proof; you simply state that you are newlyweds. 🙂

Hehe... you clearly don't know me very well... do you really think everyone walked away with a whole cake?! 🤣
It was quite literally a testing phase... those little treats were sliced into tiny, microscopic pieces... ccccc

Do you mind sharing which bakery it was, if you can?
