William Parker61 said:Ladies, I’ve officially decided on a four-chocolate wedding cake from Sugarland. However, I stopped by for some treats yesterday, and what she served was honestly terrible. Now I am feeling incredibly conflicted. Usually, their quality is excellent, but what if I end up with a batch this bad on my actual wedding day?
I think I’ll head over to M&M's just to try their options, just to be safe.

Ugh, if I were you, I wouldn't touch Sugarland. If I sample a cake and hate it, then they mess up the order on my big day? I'd die of pure frustration knowing I chose them.

That’s exactly why I’m moving on to other options. My partner and I walked away yesterday feeling incredibly disappointed... 😢

That’s a shame. Don't sweat it though; you'll stumble upon something better eventually.

A bag of M&M's should lift your spirits with that chocolate goodness, and honestly, grab some cheesecake or a walnut tart too—sugar cures just about everything. 😉

Thanks for the suggestion! I will definitely check that place out, and I'll stop by Monica's too!

Hands down, the best wedding desserts I've ever had
They’re just incredible—that perfect dry texture I love, plus the ones with the cream fillings too

The wedding rate is $27/lb

A pound of cookies costs $28 if they aren't arranged on a tray, but if you want them presented nicely on a platter, it's $30. Between you and me, though, a pound of treats usually goes for $30..

Ellen, have you swung by M&M's yet? Dying to hear if it lived up to the hype..

Ah, I was under the impression you were heading out yesterday. Fine. I suppose I can endure this little delay just a bit longer. 🙂

Yeah, at my wedding:-)
I honestly haven't tasted a better cake in my entire life... ever since then, we make sure to order that exact same one for every single birthday and big anniversary:-))

It looked like it was just decked out in fruit on the outside, but inside? It was some kind of chocolatey "something."--))
I’m telling you, I can't even call it pudding, or mousse, or cream, or... well, the secret is in what it actually is and how they whip it up... but man... mmmmmmmmmmm...
They made it over at St. Nicholas in Santa Barbara.

How about you guys?

They aren't exactly cheap... but whatever... M&M's are one of my favorites too. Along with Sugarman and Little House of Cookies. I'll send them an inquiry and see what happens..[/QU

I’d suggest checking out Lucian’s bakery over in San Diego. Their prices are actually pretty reasonable, and the treats are incredible... normally they charge $27... but since I ordered a larger amount, I got them for $20/kg... so give them a shout and see what they say.

I heard about this bakery out near a small town in the US that makes these massive 6-tier cakes for $267... now I just need to track down the name so the locals can tell me if they're actually any good 😁

Here’s an update from Emma over in that small town in the US..

A kilogram of assorted pastries costs $33 for orders under 15kg. For anything over 15kg, it’s $30/kg if Emma agrees to use their plates—otherwise, it’ll be $28/kg if a restaurant or hotel insists on using their own..

Everything’s getting more expensive by the day...
not that those places were ever really on my radar anyway.

Maybe I’m just being picky, but I’ve officially blacklisted every single bakery I’ve ever visited where the food just didn't hit right. Even if it was just once.
Those cheap supermarket pastries can taste straight-up greasy. Sometimes they’re alright... but honestly, I’m not about to take that risk.

Cookies and cake have been officially laid to rest 😁
The local bakery treats from that small town in the US.
20 kg of cookies plus a massive cake for 120 guests $100
