www.mim.hr I don't have the exact street address handy, but it's on their site. They made the wedding pastries for us—the Minions were $32 pounds, but they were flawless. We got a variety mix at $28 per pound, and we even packed up some dry treats for the guests to take home. The cake was massive: five tiers total, three Black Forest and two parfait layers. Our guests swore they’d never had anything better.
Price is $333.

How many guests did you end up having? And more importantly, was the cake actually big enough? I'm trying to figure out if you ran out or if there was a ton left over. Also, if you happen to have a photo, I'd love to see it. Thanks!

I remember being at a wedding in a small town and having the most incredible parfait cake I've ever tasted. It stayed on my mind so much that I decided to go after those exact flavors for my own celebration, so I placed an order for my own cake... 😍

Mine is going to be shaped like a double heart—no tiers or any of those unnecessary frills—in a champagne color. Usually, a cake this size serves about 120 people, but we're expecting around 150 guests (assuming half the crew doesn't flake out at the last minute), so we’ll have two extra cakes on the side just in case... because let's face it, there will always be someone hungry. The price is $0.50

I’ve decided I’m bringing about 22 pounds of dessert to the venue, including a 1st birthday cake. I'll have roughly 13-14 pounds set aside for serving, plus some extra to hand out to the neighbors and people at home. That leaves us with about 65 pounds of treats total for an 80-person crowd.

Those are Nicole's baked goods, and they're located right above Brooklyn. I'll send you the phone number so I don't have to get into a whole explanation here. Like I told you before, you get a free 1 kg sampler box to try them out, so you can pick whichever ones you want. You didn't say anything about the cakes, though. Which one caught your eye? Those are just samples of what she can do, and obviously, I can request something else entirely or something similar to those designs. For now, I think I'm going to go with the fourteenth one on the third tier with that mixed candied flower arrangement; since the bouquet will be made of mixed flowers, having a round cake in that style would tie everything together perfectly.🙂

Quick update... my sister just got married and she had these cookies from a bakery in Chicago... I think they were Bond Pro or something like that... honestly, they tasted great and looked amazing. I'm hoping to grab a photo where you can actually see them, so if I do, I'll post it. Bottom line: the cookies were a hit. Oh, and they cost $16/kg

Of course... just send me the number. I live near Brooklyn too, so it's super convenient for me...👍

And what about the cakes? My plan is to have one large tiered wedding cake in a single flavor, plus two or three smaller ones on the side, all with different flavors... that way guests can just choose whatever they feel like eating.

Bravo! I actually picked up a pound of those exact cookies from Walmart yesterday just to test them out, and my family absolutely loved them...
So, they're definitely my top choice right now, and I'm so glad to see you giving them a thumbs up too...
I'm genuinely happy about this...🙂

Wait, she already tied the knot??? Good grief, things moved fast 😘

By the way, did those two finally reach an agreement on that thing we were discussing??😬

Hey girl... nope, they haven't a clue about what we discussed yet... people still won't touch that subject. Anyway, coffee? Hit me up in the DMs...

Hey, quick question. Our wedding is coming up soon and we've pretty much checked everything off the list, but I'm still tackling the dessert situation—specifically cakes and pastries. We're currently scouting out different vendors, and I was wondering if you guys think $18 per pound is a fair price for pastries and $20 for a cake? Also, does anyone know if they charge extra for fondant if that's what we go with? I haven't quite settled on a design yet. Thanks in advance!

I had some of those exact pastries at a wedding the other day and man, they were incredible! Yum!
They taste great, look beautiful, and—just as importantly—they're super fresh. They were made just the day before and driven straight from Indianapolis to Ann Arbor, then the ones for the guests were packed into little boxes immediately. Seriously, kudos to them!!! 👍 👍 👍

$18/lb is actually a fantastic price! 👍
But tell me, how many guests is the cake intended for? Or rather, how is that total price usually calculated...?

We’re looking at about 250 guests for the wedding. The bakery owner told us we should budget roughly 10 ounces of sweets per person, which puts us at around 140 pounds for the big day. Plus, I want to order another 33 pounds to have on hand at our places. For the cake, she said the standard is about 3.5 ounces per person. Honestly? I just don't want anyone complaining that there wasn't enough dessert. So, I'm thinking a 55-pound cake. She mentioned the cake itself is $500 plus all the decor (like toppers, fountains, and the couple figures), and if we want fondant, it’ll be an extra $350-$$133. Is that a lot, or are these prices pretty standard? We actually tried some of the sweets—she gave us almost everything they'll be serving, and they were delicious. We also swung by on a Saturday night when they had their wedding cakes out, so I've seen how they look. Sorry for the long post, I'm just stressed about making sure everything is perfect so nobody complains later. Bye!

I wouldn't just say it's a good price—it's an absolute steal... I'm currently paying $23 per pound, and those are typical NYC prices, mind you—and that's from a baker I trust implicitly (if anyone needs a recommendation, I can send over her contact info via DM)

I pick them up at this bakery called Laura in Indianapolis and then drive them over to NYC. I asked her about paying for the delivery, but she said don't even worry about it.

I think the final price on a cake gets ridiculously inflated if they're padding the cost by baking the cheaper pastries into the total. For instance, when I was at Nikolin's, they told me they don't charge extra for decorations, the display stand, or even the fondant. Because of that, you end up getting six different cakes on a single stand $333 regardless of the flavors, which I honestly find much more reasonable than what other places are charging.
