🙂🙂🙂

🤣🤣 You're just getting under my skin ☕ I know the feeling 🙂
Got a comment today about gender... woman asks me, "Well, maybe they were just wrong?" 🙂🙂

- People commenting on ☕'s name... why does anyone care how I choose to name my child?
- When checking for a pulse, I put my hand on their abdomen and they just stare at me like I'm being weird 😉
- It’s exhausting having to run to the restroom constantly because the baby is pressing on my bladder 🙂
- Then there are the endless questions about what I'll do with the dog...
- And whether I should pull my older kid out of preschool since I'll be home, supposedly "freeing up a spot" for someone more needy 🙂🙂🙂 - Honestly, I don't get it... I won't be on maternity leave forever 🤷

I am so sick of the comments about my huge baby bump. People are always like, "Oh, I knew girls who had bellies that big after they already gave birth, and you still have two and a half months to go..." 😠 Like, honestly, who cares what you "knew"? It’s none of your business. And the constant nitpicking over the baby's name is driving me insane. We haven't officially decided yet, but we have a few options in mind—none of which will ever be good enough for the peanut gallery anyway. Seriously, why is everyone so obsessed with my business? :banghead:

🤣 They can take those opinions and throw them in the trash along with my patience. We'll dig them up in five or six years once the kids are grown... Good grief, the stupidity of some questions!
Did I mention how much my mother-in-law irritates me? 😬

It honestly irritates me when I see comments along the lines of, "Oh, how on earth are you going to manage that?"
(we don't have any grandparents nearby)
Look, we aren't exactly the first generation to grow up without grandparents living just down the street. We'll figure it out.

A daycare teacher asked me the exact same thing when I was a kid. If only having an opinion could actually kill you... 🙂

And then there’s this condescension regarding the name choice. 🙄
Mea culpa for not consulting the Catholic liturgical calendar, my extended family, and probably the clerk at the local CVS before deciding. 🙂

I actually found that answer myself back when I was pregnant for the first time... 🤣🤣I said I’d make some homemade chili, and suddenly I’m already reaching for a warm blanket... 🤣 Most people just gave me that weird look and decided to drop it... ☕

That’s not a bad idea... though my place would definitely need a bigger walk-in cooler... 😍

Look, the whole idea about having a baby isn't bad... I just think things would get messy because I have two dogs. That means two strollers, and then everyone starts asking when the second kid is coming 😁

I have become so incredibly blunt lately, it’s actually kind of wild... 😲 though, if I’m being honest, before I was pregnant, I used to just let people boss me around or be rude because I couldn't even be bothered to argue with idiots, you know? But now? Man, I am just shutting people down left and right whenever they deserve it. 🙄

And honestly, I love it. I finally have the guts to tell people exactly what's on my mind. 😉

I'm not even on maternity leave yet; I'm dealing with pregnancy complications, and the idea of pulling my older child out of daycare just because I'm physically at home hasn't even crossed my mind. She already has her friends there, she loves it, and she’s actually happy to go.
In my case, people were already judging me before I even got pregnant because I put my child in daycare while staying home just to cover potential sick days—which, by the way, happened quite a bit—since I know my employer won't tolerate constant absences. It's like, why does it matter if I'm home while my kid is in daycare? What's it to them? I'm just taking a little time for myself.
People are never satisfied.

My mother-in-law 😬

Her latest gem: she suggested that my discomfort while sitting on this deep, oversized sofa was actually due to my shirt being too tight.

Two months ago, I found driving through the streets of Chicago equally unbearable because she insisted my jeans were pinching me.

Honestly, my mother-in-law gets on my nerves too. Every single time we visit her, she’s shoving her face right into my stomach. Last time, I finally snapped and told her, "Look, if you want to stick your nose in my business, you can go all the way to California for all I care."

I’ve got this one thought circling my head that I can’t even bring myself to put into words—because if I actually admitted to having a stalker, everyone would immediately know exactly who we're talking about, and nobody would ever say something like that out loud.
And that whole "don't buy anything before the baby arrives" advice? It drives me up the wall. If I followed that logic, my husband wouldn't be able to pick up a single thing without throwing a massive tantrum within forty-eight hours.

I find myself genuinely irritated by those former and current expectant mothers who insist that I need to be out exploring everything and enjoying every second—claiming this is supposedly the most beautiful phase of my entire life.
Please, don't take this personally, but we aren't all cut from the same cloth; pregnancy isn't a magical experience for everyone, and frankly, some of us would much rather stay glued to the sofa—even at just 25 weeks—than wander around aimlessly.
Is anyone else feeling this way? 😁

I’m actually kind of stunned today. I'm nine months along now, yet my stomach isn't even showing that much. ☕

Me. 😁 Even though—my first two trimesters were absolute hell. The first three months were pure nausea (I didn't vomit, but my stomach was constantly in my throat), everything bothered me, every smell was revolting... just awful. During the second trimester, I was still miserable—irritable, back pain, zero energy, exhausted... basically a disaster. But now that I've hit the third trimester, I actually feel great. Most women I talk to say they struggle during the 1st and 3rd trimesters and feel fine in the 2nd... though my condition could definitely take a turn for the worse. 😂 I lose my mind when someone starts lecturing me about the "blissful stage" or how beautiful this period is. I've had better times in my life, and I'll definitely have better times in the future. 🙂

Maybe there is still hope for me then—my experience started out exactly like yours, and by the second trimester, I was just restless and completely unmotivated 😁

I’d also add frequent headaches—like, really intense, almost migraine-level ones. It's awful.

If you were always out and about, people would constantly question why you never stay put. You’d have to be home more often. 🙄

I listen to this almost every single day. 🙄
It’s not that I don't appreciate it, but give me a break.

Everyone seems to be getting under my skin lately. But honestly, nothing grates on me more than some young mom—someone whose baby isn't even two months old yet—trying to lecture me. 🙄
I’d sooner listen to my grandmother’s advice than hers...
