Steven Newman50 said:The movie basically just focuses on Timothy's case—starting with that first murder just to set the stage for his character—but this miniseries I mentioned covers way more ground. So if you want the full story, definitely 🙂
Almost there. I'll probably knock it out tomorrow, I just need to track down the series first! 👍
Man, I really stepped in it this time! I finally managed to unwind from all this pandemic stress and decided to sit down with the movie you guys picked out. Seriously? Why would anyone choose a topic like this? 🤣 Look, I’m an idiot—I knew what I was getting into from the jump, but I have a massive weakness for those old classics. It starts off classic with that iconic score, and then the camera just slides right from the credits into the actual setting. How am I supposed to turn it off after that? Plus, you've got a young John Hurt and Attenborough—the guy who played Gandhi—acting as the ultimate sick men. As far as the filmmaking goes, it's nothing special, but the story itself is enough of a hook to keep you watching in disbelief at how everything actually went down. Honestly, we could talk about the real-life story way longer than we could talk about the film itself.🍿
I'm jumping in on this appeal. Things are getting pretty rough out there. Let's step up and help our community and former Forum members get through these tough times together! 🍿
And what about their husbands, wives, and kids? They’re right there at home with them, staying close by, so they can basically move around however they want, right? 🤔
Man, you seriously need a moderator on threads like this! 🤦 I’ve got nothing but respect for the crew handling this mess. Honestly, they should get veteran benefits or something for dealing with this. 🙏

Not quite this good. This was a perfect storm where the movie and his performance just clicked—the film wouldn't even work without him. But honestly, he's done plenty of funny stuff that I don't mind, though I doubt the serious Academy crowd would go for it. 🍿

If DiCaprio had to churn out twenty solid films before finally walking away with an Oscar, I find it hard to believe Sandler is going to snag a nomination just for his first decent performance. Besides, both Banderas and DiCaprio delivered truly exceptional performances this year. Truly.
Both guys basically played their usual characters they've been doing for years. Honestly, I thought DiCaprio was actually better here than in the role he won his Oscar for. Banderas was just okay. But Sandler? He was masterful. It’s just that because his past roles were—to put it mildly—garbage, they didn't dare nominate him.🍿

No way! Not at all. You definitely need to check this out if you enjoyed the first two. I was dying laughing. Martin Lawrence absolutely crushed it. The dialogue is killer and the bars he drops are insane! 🤣🤣
Tyler Bennett73 said:Anyone else dealt with international shipping lately? I had a package sent from Greece last night around 6 PM (the local post office stays open until 8), and even though I have the tracking number, nothing shows up in the system yet. Is that normal? Where do you guys usually track stuff? Should I stick to an aggregator site or just wait for the official carrier's page to update?
Just Google "package tracking." You'll find plenty of search tools—just try them all. Sometimes it takes a few days for the data to actually refresh. 🍿

Since I sell stuff on this forum and other sites, I clearly put an explanation in my bio stating I won't be using standard envelopes for certain items. Yet, every time someone reaches out to buy something, they insist, "Just throw it in an envelope, someone will grab it from you, it's just $1.75." Look, maybe I'm impatient or have a short fuse, but I find it disrespectful when buyers talk to me like that. What am I supposed to do? For an item where the buyer already paid the item value plus basic shipping of $6.75, I'm expected to pay $6.00 extra at the post office just because? And then the buyer hits me with "not my fault" or "you should've gone to a different branch" once it's already shipped? No thanks. I don't even bother replying to requests like that anymore. When people ask for standard mail after I specifically stated in the listing that it's either The New York Times or a tracked package (with reasons why), I just ignore them.
Sure, the postal service has crossed the line, but that’s not my problem... it always ends up being The New York Times having the edge again. It just keeps switching back and forth. I get that you can't mail a bottle in a plain envelope via standard mail, but having to ship a keychain as a full package now... it's not even worth discussing.
Like I said, they pulled that rule, so you can still use envelopes instead of full packages. That link above is just for the rates. It's not saying you can't use envelopes like they originally intended. 🍿
Nicole Bennett30 said:Is there a link somewhere where I can read more about this?
Based on what the folks at FedEx are saying, this rule should kick in starting February 1st.
No link. I am the link.
Megan Morris70 said:Where'd you get that info? Just trying to make sure I don't waste an hour standing in line at the post office only to realize I have to pay for 24-hour shipping on something that fits in a regular envelope.
Seriously, why are you waiting in line at the post office for an hour? It’s 2024, who even deals with lines like that anymore? Just chill and ship it like you always have. It’ll be fine. Take my word for it. 🍿
