So, the final verdict is finally in. Got my lab results back from Saturday regarding EBV and heavy metals.
Mercury and lead levels are pushing the limit, but not quite enough to be a massive deal.

Turns out I'm positive for both EBV and CMV—antibody levels are pretty high.
Between my enlarged spleen and lymph nodes that have been swollen for years, plus this constant chronic fatigue, everything points to this.

I spoke with an immunologist at the clinic, and they mentioned that for some people, extreme stress can reactivate this virus, which then drags on for years and manifests as fibromyalgia.
They suggested I stick to multivitamins and milk thistle tea. Honestly, garlic and milk thistle are basically nature's version of NAC glutathione. And, obviously, zero stress and as much rest as possible.

Now, I might be wrong about the mercury part, but I’ve been taking NAC for a month now, so maybe that brought the levels down? To be honest though, I suspect when I was moving, mercury was the only thing that slipped through—if I hadn't been on NAC, I probably would've been in real trouble.

Here is the protocol for EBV that’s supposed to help calm the virus down.

The only thing I picked up was some fresh liposomal Vitamin C from Dr. Mercola—1000mg, 60 capsules$107.

Just ordered the highest quality chlorella I could find.

Anyone here actually used chlorella before? Looking for some real feedback.

Purge heavy metals from your system
Sourced from Taiwan and Japan, chlorella is packed with proteins, amino acids, vitamins B, C, and E, beta-carotene, minerals like potassium, phosphorus, biotin, and magnesium, plus chlorophyll.

It’s especially famous for its detox properties—basically, if you want to flush heavy metals and toxins out of your body, chlorella is the top choice. People use it specifically to clear out accumulated mercury.

The deal is, chlorella has these phytonutrients that bind to toxins and heavy metals, dragging them out of your system. A study done at a major university in Russia showed that chlorella doesn't just pull toxins out—it also helps reduce tissue damage caused by heavy metal poisoning.

Having heavy metals sitting in your body is linked to all kinds of health issues. Research out of Japan has even shown that cancer cells often contain mercury, which is a heavy metal. Plus, studies have confirmed that heavy metal buildup is tied to things like Alzheimer's and dementia.

Jamie Rivera78 said:Replacing just one filling is a massive headache, let alone trying to swap out several at once. Those mercury vapors evaporate straight into your brain, and you end up swallowing some of it during the procedure too. It’s honestly pathetic how little our American dentists know about proper pre- and post-op protocols. They practically looked at me like I was crazy when I brought it up. The end result is serious toxicity that is incredibly hard to fix.
I wouldn't recommend getting amalgam fillings in the first place. Even fixing them is a complicated mess—potentially super risky.

Hey there!
Yeah, I'm with you on all counts.
I took the plunge myself because I was desperate—dealing with all these symptoms that everyone else insisted were "just in my head."

Turns out, I made the right call, because 40 days later, I'm feeling way better. The brain fog is totally gone, and those neurological issues and muscle twitches have calmed down significantly.

Right now, I'm taking NAC with selenium and mobilization, NOW ADAM multivitamins with alpha lipoic acid and CoQ10, plus a really high-quality Omega-3.

dustyseal5 said:I was just about to order some when I stumbled onto another thread saying it’s not recommended if you have amalgam fillings. I still have about six of them—they're ancient, probably twenty years old or more. 🙂
I ended up replacing one two years ago by necessity, and man, I can only imagine what kind of stuff leaked into my system. The thing is, I have a massive fear of the dentist; I can't handle that kind of pain even with anesthesia. I'm honestly not even sure if it's smart to go through with replacing all of them since I have so many.
I drifted a bit off-topic here, sorry—but that part about "if they're still alive"... how do you even know that? (I might sound totally clueless right now 😬).

Hey. I had five. I remember back when I was around 15, a molar cracked—basically the filling gave out—and I had this constant, gross metallic taste in my mouth. From then on, I started getting these symptoms, but whatever, I was terrified of the dentist so I just ignored it. Plus, around here, dentists and GPs just brush off how toxic amalgam is, even though it's actually 54% mercury despite how they manipulate the data to say it's only 50%.
Amalgam is just cheap, toxic junk, and that's why we see so many autoimmune issues and psychiatric conditions today.
It's a harsh reality that people in places like Scandinavia seem to recognize, but over here, they just sweep it under the rug.

Yeah, it's true—when you're replacing them, there's a spike in evaporation, so if someone isn't careful, they're definitely going to get poisoned.

I went to a private clinic and did the replacement in two sessions. It wasn't done by some specialized holistic dentist with full protection gear, just a regular guy. Even she mentioned it would be a good idea to take selenium for about a week.
So, I started taking NAC with selenium, some Dr.'s Best mobile multivitamins, and an Adam multivitamin from NOW, which has other key antioxidants like alpha-lipoic acid and CoQ10.
Before doing any of this, I did a deep dive on Reddit and found tons of similar cases and experiences.
I practically took a huge risk because my symptoms were absolutely destroying me, but a month later, I'm finally starting to feel better.

It's wild that not a single neurologist or immunologist even suspected this, even though the symptoms are textbook.

Right after my last session, I took my first dose of NAC and that multivitamin, and within half an hour, I was peeing for maybe five minutes straight—and it smelled so bad, like a literal sauna. Like, wtf...
Is NAC a miracle supplement? in Health ·
So, let's talk about NAC—it’s basically just a stable version of the non-essential amino acid cysteine. It works as a stabilizer when it comes to building protein structures, and more importantly, it helps produce glutathione, which is widely known as a powerhouse for fighting off free radicals. One thing I really appreciate is that this stuff is totally plant-based with no animal products involved, so it's perfect if you're following a vegan diet. Plus, it's non-GMO too—just clean, straightforward stuff.

So, here's the deal with cysteine—it's basically a foundational amino acid that builds the proteins our bodies actually need to function. When you take it as a supplement, you're usually looking at N-acetylcysteine (NAC), which the body processes into cysteine and then turns into glutathione—that's a heavy-hitting antioxidant. I've found that NAC is pretty solid for helping prevent side effects when you're on certain medications or dealing with exposure to nasty toxins. Plus, it's great for thinning out mucus, which is a lifesaver if you're struggling with respiratory issues.

So, let’s talk about NAC—it’s basically the acetylated version of the amino acid cysteine. Cysteine and cystine are super closely linked and usually just treated as one single amino acid, but NAC is a much more stable way to get that goodness into your system. Beyond just being vital for protein synthesis, NAC plays a massive role because it's a key building block for glutathione. We're talking about the heavyweight champion of antioxidants here—the strongest stuff our bodies produce. Every single cell in your body relies on it, and it’s absolutely essential for keeping your immune system from falling apart. When your glutathione levels tank, you start seeing connections to all sorts of health issues—specifically liver disease and respiratory infections or those nasty colds. In fact, a deficiency in this specific amino acid is often what kicks off chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Honestly, when people pass away, it almost always comes down to those glutathione levels bottoming out—basically when the liver just can't keep up with the synthesis anymore.

Taking NAC as a supplement really helps bump up your body's natural glutathione levels—especially when you're bouncing back from being sick or dealing with heavy physical training.

NAC actually helps shield you from all that toxic stuff—you know, things like acetaminophen, carbon tetrachloride, ethanol, carbon monoxide, chemo drugs, or even just nasty air pollution... It basically acts like a buffer against all those chemical hits.

NAC is a total game-changer when it comes to boosting your physical strength and overall stamina—it really helps you push harder. Plus, it works to bring down those homocysteine levels, which is huge because having too much of that amino acid is linked to heart disease, strokes, and even cancer. It also helps lower your LDL cholesterol, too. Just a solid way to keep things running smoothly.

So, turns out NAC might actually help with blood pressure—basically because it helps relax your blood vessels. Just some food for thought.

I usually just take one to three capsules whenever I feel like it—just toss them back after a meal along with some Vitamin C.

The best way to handle this is to take it five days straight and then give it a two-day break. Here’s the deal—NAC works by boosting your glutathione levels. But if you keep those levels chronically high, your body might try to compensate by dialing back its own production just to maintain homeostasis. Basically, it's trying to stay balanced. So, you really should step away from it at least two days a week to make sure your system doesn't get lazy and stop producing its own natural glutathione.

NAC has been the go-to antidote for acetaminophen overdoses for ages—pretty much a lifesaver in ERs across the country—and it’s also a staple in various cancer treatments. It does a lot of heavy lifting when it comes to heavy metal poisoning, fighting off infections, and even speeding up wound healing. Plus, it plays a huge role in HIV therapy. But honestly, where things get really interesting is in psychiatry. Because it messes with your brain's glutathione and dopamine levels, it's being used to tackle neurological issues like schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, addiction, and depression. It’s just a powerhouse antioxidant with serious neuroprotective properties.

The only real catch when you start this is if you’ve still got those old amalgam fillings in your mouth—if there's any mercury left in there, this stuff is basically going to pull it right out!

Proven benefits:

I just caught this video and honestly—it’s worth a look if you're digging into the science behind neuroprotection. It touches on some pretty heavy stuff regarding how we can actually support brain health before things start sliding downhill. The core idea here—and I really believe this—is that we need to be way more proactive about managing oxidative stress. We aren't just talking about getting old; we're talking about the actual cellular mechanics that lead to things like Alzheimer's. There's a lot of talk lately about using NAC to help mitigate some of that damage, and looking at the data, it's hard not to be optimistic about where this is headed. It's one of those topics where you realize the "standard" approach might be missing a huge piece of the puzzle. We rely so much on reactive medicine, but the real game-changer is going to be preventative, targeted supplementation and lifestyle shifts. Just my two cents, but the science is definitely pointing us toward a different kind of toolkit for mental longevity.

This is a staple in my daily routine—I take it five days a week, and I find it works best if I kick things off on a Monday.

Look, if you want to get the most out of your amino acids, you really should take them on an empty stomach—that’s just how you get the best absorption. But hey, if your stomach starts acting up or feels weird about it, don't sweat it—just grab a light breakfast first and take them after that instead. It's all about what works for your body.

Honestly, you're better off grabbing an NAC supplement that already includes the key cofactors—think selenium and molybdenum—to help speed up the conversion into glutathione.
It also works way better when you pair it with ALA—alpha lipoic acid. It’s basically a synergistic powerhouse.

If you're looking for a specific brand, I'd go with Best. You can find it on sites like Vitamin Shoppe, though it's usually a lot cheaper if you just grab it from iHerb instead.

Here is my daily stack—this is what I take alongside my regular therapy to help with detoxing, fighting inflammation, boosting energy, and keeping my cognitive and mental health on point. Plus, it really helps dial down those neurological sensations and just supports overall wellness.

It took me forever to actually wrap my head around what was happening to me. Honestly—I’ve burned through about $12k on specialists, immunologists, endocrinologists, you name it.

My symptoms:
Severe anxiety
Muscle twitching (fasciculations)
Pins and needles in my limbs
Eye floaters
Brain fog/poor concentration
Muscle and joint pain
Fibromyalgia-style symptoms

Medical history:
Brain MRI showed white matter lesions—doctors aren't even sure what caused them.
Polyneuropathy, benign fasciculation syndrome, and a Vitamin D deficiency.

ANA, a-ccp, and rheumatoid factor all came back negative. Western blot for Lyme was also negative.

The symptoms really kicked into high gear right around the time I had my old, crusty, worn-out amalgam fillings swapped out for new ones—also amalgams (6 total). Not once did my dentist warn me that those fillings are basically 50% mercury.
The whole drilling process just releases mercury vapor into your lungs—that's what happens when a standard dentist does it instead of a specialized biological dentist.

I was spiraling, worrying about everything from MS to Lyme disease, until things finally "clicked"—plus, I've had this weird metallic taste in my mouth for ages.
Once it clicked, I did some deep diving on Reddit and realized a ton of other people have had that exact same realization.

A month ago, I finally got those amalgams replaced with white composite ones (5 composites and one ceramic).

The detox process is different for everyone—usually takes about 2 to 5 months.

Here’s what I’m using:
NOW Foods NAC with Selenium
KAL Selenium 100mcg (L-selenomethionine)
NOW ADAM Men's Multivitamin
Olimp Omega-3 with D3K2-MK7 and Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol).

I’m currently one month into the process.
I take NAC five times a week (ideally starting on a Monday). It's a precursor to glutathione—which is basically the body's strongest antioxidant. A major cofactor to help it absorb faster is also a strong oxidant: Selenium in its organic methionine form.
ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) is also great, but honestly, NAC + Selenium feels like the gold standard.

I’m also on Zoloft and Lyrica for the anxiety and neurological stuff.

Hoping for some visible improvement soon—things have to get better.

I’d love to hear about anyone else's experience, and I really hope this helps someone else out too.
Also, if you can, I highly recommend getting that triple test (blood, urine, and hair) to check for heavy metals.

Mods, please don't pull this thread—this isn't "alternative medicine," this is serious business.

Unfortunately, here in the States, the use of amalgam won't be completely phased out until way down the road.
In more progressive parts of the United Nations/Europe, amalgam was pretty much banned years ago.
If you look on YouTube, there are plenty of interviews with doctors discussing how harmful amalgam is, along with videos showing mercury levels in dental offices.

By the way, I'm absolutely not saying that someone with just one silver filling is definitely off-gassing enough mercury to be in danger compared to someone with many. Some people are just way more sensitive to mercury than others, or even allergic to it.
Using multivitamin complexes with various antioxidants can also help pull mercury out, depending on the strength.
Just whatever you do, don't start taking NAC until *after* the fillings are replaced.

Ask your own dentists or neurologists if they have any amalgam fillings left—you'll hear what they tell you. If mercury in amalgam wasn't harmful, why don't they use those cheap, toxic fillings themselves?

Thanks.
Kimberly Morris said:Hey Nicholas Myers, brightgull95, and everyone else,

You guys know me—I've been all over these forums talking about my physical issues, which are honestly starting to mess with my head because I feel totally out of commission lately.

So, here's the deal: constant low-grade fever, body aches everywhere, blacking out occasionally, migraines, insulin resistance, Vitamin D deficiency, frequent diarrhea, and this bone-deep fatigue that just doesn't go away even after sleeping or light exercise. My immunologist ran some tests, and apparently, it’s not rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. She did mention that my HLA typing suggests there's a high chance of inflammatory bowel disease—which would explain those nighttime bathroom trips (though I used to just blame my diet, which isn't always great). I'm waiting on a colonoscopy now. On the bright side, my cardiology checkup came back totally normal.

Back on December 20th, I woke up with this massive pressure in my temples. I thought, "Okay, here comes a migraine." But the migraine never actually hit—instead, I just had this weird headache all day long. It lasted a few days, and then that pressure turned into this intense tingling sensation. The tingling hits my temples and spreads down toward my cheekbones. It’s getting more intense every single day, especially on the right side. After ten days of this, I finally saw my doctor, who told me it’s probably just linked to my migraines and neck issues—basically, take some Excedrin and get a massage. Well, I took the meds, I got the massage, and... nothing. It didn't help at all. Now it's been 20 days of this constant tingling and pressure in my temples, and it's driving me crazy.

Then today, my endocrinologist calls me to say my lab results from seven months ago—finally! (!!!!!)—just arrived. My Vitamin D is still low, but my calcium levels are actually pretty high, and she told me to stop taking Vitamin D immediately until we re-test the calcium.

I don't have the actual report in front of me, but my question is: could these neurological symptoms be tied to having too much calcium in my system?
It feels a bit like temporal arteritis, but I'm really hoping that's not it since I don't have pain when chewing and I'm not even 40 yet... 😩

Thanks in advance to everyone for reading and for any input you can give.

Hey!
I remember you mentioning your anxiety before. About that calcium thing—it's likely spiked because you were taking D3 without any K2. You should look on iHerb for a highly-rated D3K2 supplement, maybe something around 5000 IU.
As for the rest, I honestly don't know if it's psychosomatic or something physical.
Good luck.

Look, death metal isn't mainstream by any stretch of the imagination. If you want to talk about bands playing for the paycheck, look at Behemoth—I mean, Nergal is a super sharp guy, sure, but they've definitely leaned into the commercial side. Plus, Inferno’s project Azarath is absolutely brutal. Honestly, one of the best acts on the scene over the last 15 years.

.
Some people might argue Bloodbath is mainstream just because it’s basically a supergroup of famous musicians, but man, those guys just kill it with their style.

Man, that stuff just hits different. That rush of adrenaline you get from death metal—technical, brutal death, all of it... the truth is, you've gotta mix up your genres. If you just hammer away at brutal death metal non-stop, your brain is gonna turn to mush, kind of like how people get hooked on hardcore fetish porn.

Black metal is more about the vibe—that coldness, the nihilism, the Satanism. I’m not really sure how many people in their 30s or 40s actually feel the need to promote Satanism, though. I honestly think the whole point behind that image and aesthetic was just about believing in yourself above everything else.

Take this, for example: from the legendary black metal scene, you had guys like Emperor's Samoth and Trym starting up the death metal band Zyklon. Nobody has ever really pulled that off before—transitioning from black metal into death metal and actually succeeding at it. They're just straight-up brutal musicians.

Honestly, I can’t even picture myself listening to bands like chat Cradle of Filth, Behemoth, Arch Enemy, or Children of Bodom anymore. That was just a phase for me back in my teens. Nowadays, if I hear someone growling, it actually drives me crazy—it’s just so irritating. 😁

A few weeks ago, I actually dug out some chat Cradle of Filth tracks just for the nostalgia, but I can't listen to stuff like that on repeat every day anymore. And yeah, this music is definitely destructive and gets under your skin—if it didn't affect people, everyone would be listening to the exact same thing. 😉

You were just listening to mainstream garbage—not a single quality band in sight. It clearly wasn't for you, so just move on...👍

Mark Cruz15 said:I’ve heard of them—probably listened to some stuff too—but it all kind of slipped my mind. I only see two albums listed, which isn't exactly a huge discography to dig through. 👍

Bolt Thrower didn't really click for me at first, but I gave them another shot recently and they're sounding a bit better. Not sure which one I have playing in my car, I think it's Realm of Chaos.

Check out Necrophagist's Epitaph. You won't regret it.
Bolt Thrower was awesome for me on the Mercenary album, but honestly, looking back at Necro, I don't even think I actually listened to Bolt Thrower.
After watching about 30 minutes of that Necrophagist live set, I was just sitting there like: wait, am I actually seeing this right??

It's just something else...

Muhammad actually had material ready for a new album, but some big-shot record label messed things up and he ended up taking an engineering job at a BMW plant instead—so that whole thing just died out.
The first album is great too, though they re-recorded it later with a real drummer instead of using a drum machine, so definitely look for that version. But Epitaph? That's in a league of its own. Highly recommended.

Mark Cruz15 said:The drums feel way too aggressive for me, and the vocals just sound off live. It honestly reminds me of some old Deathov gig.

Death is an indestructible legacy. I’m actually gonna blast Symbolic during practice tomorrow.👍

Have you ever listened to Necrophagist? Muhammed is pretty much the only guitarist who even came close to Chuck S. The guy played like Beethoven dropped into death metal—it was insane. That Epitaph album... man. I saw them live back in 2006 at a tiny club in Chicago when they were opening for Bolt Thrower. There were maybe ten people there. Such incredible technique and pure shredding. I was absolutely floored.

If you look at Cannibal Corpse, I think back in the day they had Webster working with the guitarists—they always had killer guitar players. Honestly, they basically poached guitarists from Monstrosity and Malevolent Creation, and even grabbed a corpsegrind vocalist from Monstrosity too. But look, the bottom line is they pulled massive sold-out tours and actually had a real tour bus. That’s what made the difference...

So, that's John Gallagher from Dying Fetus, but now he’s got hair. Honestly, being bald looked a hundred times better on him—now he just looks like some random grandpa.

Yeah. The CC drummer is basically on Lars Ulrich's level. Haha, I guess since his buddies haven't called him out on it for ages... but hey, they have that specific kind of bomb groove rhythm, so any decent drummer could probably pull that off easily.

I mean, there have been some seriously brutal drummers in death metal and live settings. Like, Marco Minneman actually played live with Necrophagist once.

For me, the most natural and talented drummer was definitely the late Vitek from Decapitated.

That's how you play with actual style.

Man, Southern Wind 2 is total trash. The first one and the whole series were top-tier. I feel totally let down—it feels like there's more Bulgarians in this movie than Americans.
