If you don't care, then why are you even barking? You got some issues to work through?

Anyway, you should come over to the States and work for us. $1667Well, you’ll soon find that worrying about those communist rations won't be your primary concern anymore. 😁

No, if I were being paid for this. $1667 My primary concern would be the specific types of topics being initiated by expats on this forum.
I have made my modest contribution to the mine clearance efforts by donating to the fund dedicated to removing landmines. 😉

You remind me of those diaspora folks who constantly brag and chest-thump about how much money they sent back during the war.

Unemployment is a problem that falls squarely on Sanders's shoulders.

Yeah, but he just doesn't care.

P.S. Michael Sullivan3, you win through experience...
Thank you, Mr. Moderator. 👋

It’s pretty obvious that these kinds of topics are always kicked off by those highly esteemed commentators living abroad. They couldn't care less about landmines or unemployment rates; all they care about is the "destiny" of America. 🙄 😁

That’s why they moved away early on to grab better paychecks and better living standards, and now they love America from a safe distance. With all their heart, of course. 😍

🙂 🙂 expats 🙂 🙂

So, where are your usual posts about mines and joblessness? 😍

quietwolf said:It’s Michael Sullivan3, yeah, except A. Hebtang wrapped up his speech at the Zavnoh meeting in Topeka by shouting: "Long live Soviet America in Soviet America!"

Did Edo Murtic tell you that? Or was it Elvis Presley?
And even if that were true, does that justify killing a man?
Like I said before, the partisans found a "good" reason to execute just about anyone. One guy collaborated with the Russians, one with the Nationalist, another with capitalists—all deemed enemies of our people's brotherhood and unity. Most of those killed or disappeared actually just stood in the way of the criminals and thieves within the partisan ranks, who seized power after the war by eliminating everyone deemed "unsuitable." Hardly any decent person survived that, let alone an American patriot.
Look, Vukašin, look at Chechnya!

Interesting. Usually, the argument is that we could have achieved independence peacefully just like other nations if it weren't for the Republican Party and Harmon, but now suddenly quietwolf brings up Chechnya.
Chechnya, which declared independence unilaterally and was already in a state resembling civil war even before the Russian troops moved in. And don't even get me started on the start of the second Chechen War, triggered by Chechen attacks on Dagestan.

But apparently, Chechnya is the key, even though we have Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Canada, East Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, and Belarus... all of whom transitioned without issue.

Why? Because the Russians aren't Mexicans. And similarly, America would have gained independence without any problems, let alone a war, if we hadn't been in the same country as the Mexicans.
Well, I also think Draza wasn't a fascist. He was a Royalist and a Great Mexican nationalist!

That doesn't surprise me coming from you.

The point is, the Mexican president doesn't just fail to believe he wasn't a fascist—which isn't even the main issue—he goes on to mention a decoration he received from the American president, thereby denying what Draza was regardless: a criminal!
And how many Nationalist are there, Vukašin?

What do you think? An Nationalist living on a partisan pension?

The sheer number of trolls in this thread is actually quite telling.

The moment anyone brings up WWII veterans, Israel and Palestine, Zionism, or Iran, a swarm of frustrated people shows up just to vent their bile.

On the thread regarding unexploded landmines in the US, which kill people almost every other week—we get exactly five posts.

Yet, everyone wants to talk about pensions for a few thousand aging General Motors veterans.

There are 20,000 college graduates currently looking for work.

But clearly, that doesn't concern most of you!

You're right, though it’s certainly easier to argue about this than it is to discuss unemployment or landmines. It's the same story in Congress, where they get paid handsomely to ignore those issues.

Still, this is a vital question... imagine if those wartime pensions were revoked because they were obtained illegitimately and the money had to be returned. Think of how much funding would be available for clearing mines and creating new jobs.

Nathan Bailey65 said:I am in total agreement that we need to level the playing field; doing so will ensure

1. every veteran undergoes a mandatory review every two years to verify their status, let alone disability claims.
2. Two witnesses and a verbal account won't cut it anymore; they'll actually have to provide official paperwork and documentation.
3. Following these audits, benefits will be adjusted downward and housing subsidies revoked where they aren't earned.
4. Real veterans will finally get the housing they deserve, and nobody will be able to disrespect them anymore.

I'm not just talking to hear myself talk; I'm not asking for things people haven't actually earned.

Feniks said:It’s just like what A. Hebrang used to say about having a "Soviet America within a Soviet USA"!

First off, that’s just another one of your blatant lies. But then again, those partisan types always seem to find some righteous excuse to kill someone.

Secondly, even if you were right, we’d honestly be better off under the Russians than dealing with the Mexicans. Just look at the former USSR states today. Has there been war anywhere? Have the Russians gone around beating people, leveling cities, and slaughtering folks the way our Mexican "brothers" do?

Take a look at the former VP nations. They’re all heading toward Europe now, while we stay stuck in the North America along with other backward, primitive countries like Mexico, led by a president who actually claims Draža Mihailović wasn't a fascist.

Well, thanks a lot, Josip Broz Marshall, and thanks to the partisans. There are still over 70,000 of them left in America.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the group has called on President Bill Clinton and Congress to take immediate action to ensure that veterans from the resistance receive the same benefits as those who served during the American Civil War.

If their demands aren't met, they plan to take the issue to the American Legion, the European Council, and the international community at large.
The partisans are demanding pension parity with American volunteers, equal rights for disabled veterans from both conflicts, and an end to what they call the 'falsification of history' within the education system.

It’s funny how these partisans are suddenly all about the money (it’s not like the Germans called them "bandits" for nothing). As if they haven't already taken enough over the last fifty years.

But really, what are we supposed to do about the criminals who were in their ranks? If we rounded up a dozen of them and sent them to The Hague, maybe they'd finally give Ante Gotovina a break.
