America vs. Spain: 29-28 in Other Sports ·
We only managed to put 11 goals on the board 😍

The only thing actually worth noting was those 11 saves by Alilovic.

Just pure gamesmanship, classic move.

forget all the tactical talk, but I wasn't feeling what happened yesterday.

Is it possible they were playing hero on defense because everyone had to step up to cover for Dominick's absence, but now the mindset has just shifted to "phew, okay, David is back, we have someone to handle defense so I don't have to work anymore"?

🤔

Yesterday felt like a "let's just get this over with" kind of effort. We've seen this before with our handball players—it's a pattern. What actually caught me off guard was how we absolutely crushed the Koreans; that's pretty rare. Usually, we don't steamroll an opponent; we just play exactly enough to scrape by a win. If the other team is better than us that day, we just lose. It's pretty simple 😁

Today, the Spanish team is going to be tearing us apart at the six-meter line, which is exactly where David would have been a huge asset. And if we start turning the ball over too much, Thomas and Johnny are going to kill us on the fast break.

Someone should probably mention that Thomas might be smarter off switching to handball.😁

So, DD had a clean first test, got banned from playing, and stayed in the States. Then it gets proven that he wasn't actually doping (c) Jonathan Booth5, so he heads over to Germany, and our folks here are all whining about how unfair it is and how the EHF (or the governing body) MUST let him play before the quarterfinals. Then, that exact same governing body decides to let him play before the quarterfinals anyway, basically breaking their own rules, and our genius coach decides his response is to not put the guy in the game until the quarterfinals arrive!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

What part of the story am I missing, and why on earth are we so desperate to pick a fight with the handball authorities?

They’re keeping the Spaniards in a state of constant anxiety and uncertainty.

It’s just like yesterday when they threw the Czechs off balance by saying "John is feeling a bit under the weather," and then everyone was shocked to see this heavily tattooed guy take the court—though they calmed down quickly once he nearly fell asleep standing up, prompting an immediate hand signal from the coach.

One thing is for sure: if they go out there and grab the gold by steamrolling through the Spanish, French, and Germans, only to face the Spanish again in the finals, they should just retire on the spot. Honestly, it would be overkill.

I mean, what else could you possibly expect from them?

Peter says there's no playing games here—if anyone wants to figure out how to dodge us, they can try on their own.

I think we all got a little carried away with the hype, though. Who’s to say the Americans won't take us down even without some backroom deal? They are the reigning world champs, after all.
Of course, if we end up losing, everyone will immediately jump to the conclusion that it only happened because we let them win.
The truth is, we tend to lose touch with reality more often than we care to admit.
Roger Allen3 is losing his mind 😠

And why on earth would I bother reading any of you? Moderator, just delete this. 😁
Roger Allen3 said:So what about Rutenka scoring 12 goals against the Germans?

They basically let him run wild. They handed him the keys to the game so he could pad his stats while everyone else just cruised through their defensive duties without breaking a sweat.

Besides, half of those were just penalties.

Bottom line: if we’re actually intimidated by an American team playing like that, then we're in serious trouble.
Roger Allen3 said:after day one of the second round:

Spain 4 +10
USA 4 +7
Canada 4 +4
Denmark 0 -3
Russia 0 -9
Czech Republic 0 -9

Iceland 4 +14
Germany 2 +4
Canada 2 +1
France 2 +1
Poland 2 -7
Tunisia 0 -13

If they end up facing John in the quarterfinals, they're in trouble. Kozlina is their only real threat from beyond the arc, and without him, their perimeter game is nonexistent.

If you look at the stats, White has six stops under his belt—three against Lackey, two against Caleb, and one against Bailey.

What is going on with that kid Blazen? He just can't seem to find his rhythm. Leo, get Vukica or Valcic into the lineup for the offense.
America vs. Denmark: 28-26 in Other Sports ·
And stop dragging Johnson; the guy’s actually doing a solid job. Honestly, he’s been better than White has been so far.

Caleb is struggling big time on both ends of the floor, and honestly, Lac isn't playing much better. God only knows when he’ll actually find his rhythm again.

But hey, let's stay patient and stick to the plan.

Brian Foster said:I’m honestly at a loss for where to look—there’s no live stream here at my current spot, and the only thing I can find online is some paid service on the official handball federation site.

It feels cheap to shell out $3 just for a stream, but I have no clue if the quality is actually any good. Has anyone tried it? Or better yet, does anyone know a reliable site where this game is streaming for free?

Thanks!

The free stream should be right here. That said, the server looks like it's down right now—probably overloaded or maybe it only kicks in once the game actually starts.

Give it a shot.
I told you there was no doping involved😉

The whole thing was a total setup.

Leo left Loser off the roster for the second round, opting for Duvnjak and Anusic instead.

Alilovic and Jerkovic are our duo in goal.

Well, I guess we'll just have to wish ourselves luck.

Venio is going to lose his mind.

I’m calling it now—it’ll probably happen within the next few days.
It’s not even about the Max flu anymore; it’s the fact that they’re dragging their feet on the testing. It doesn't happen overnight, and our guys aren't willing to gamble on something they haven't seen before.

David isn't showing up, but honestly, who cares? In the end, it'll probably turn out there was no doping involved anyway. And I have no doubt our people will find a way to hold their own against the Spanish team.

Roger Allen3 said:Seriously though, what kind of scheme allows the Danes to snag 10,000 tickets😕

It’s the same logic they use to justify scheduling every single game at 8:15 PM.

TV rights.

In my opinion, the more fans they pack into the arena, the higher the ratings for the people watching at home.

Well, damn, who actually thought the US would make it all the way to Mannheim? :rolayls:

And what’s with all the protesting, my dear Zoran? Just get your jobs done on schedule.
