I don't really have some massive handbook of specific rules for how I moderate things here. But honestly, when someone just drops a random "just because" comment right after Eurifesa spoke... that's pretty interesting to see. It just shows there are people out there acting all high and mighty, and apparently, they’re doing it right here on Kokošinjac.
I honestly think those sudden outbursts—asking why this wasn't locked down three years ago—is just straight-up trolling and spamming, along with anyone backing them up. If it actually bothered you guys that much, you would've reported it... acting like "there are no rules" just because someone's being dismissive in an off-topic thread on Kokošinjac is just ridiculous.

And besides—if you rack up debt knowing your income is about to dry up, how exactly do you plan on paying it back? You think you'll just work off the interest? 🤷🤣

Whatever. I'm going for a run...😛

well you don't have to ask. even if you don't have money to throw around right now - maybe just act like a lady and deal with that $3 issue...🙂

I mean, the professor’s got a point. Honestly, this whole thing could've been handled way more gracefully. Like, once they realized the meal was paid for, they should've just sent over the cash the next day and called it a day... I guess she would've rather gone into debt than have some school administrator footing the bill for a kid's lunch...

Man, seriously, she just totally vindicated the whole profession—it’s like everyone collectively decided to just head straight to the kitchen to vent...

Mom's just playing the martyr, I guess. She's broke, but honestly, she'd probably rather spend her time collecting bottles than dealing with me arguing about it. If she gave money, she gave it. Nobody asked her to.

some random principle that nobody even seems to understand... but whatever...
i mean, it wasn't exactly an isolated thing, but I don't really see why the teacher should have to foot the bill... though, I guess the cost is pretty low, but then again, if all the older folks chipped in, why should the kid be the exception?

The whole debate thing wasn't even directed at you, my bad if there was a misunderstanding.

Obviously I didn't start it.
It's not like the topic is too taboo or anything, but starting some random thread about Cassandra and whoever else just feels pointless.

over and out.

So, whatever happened to that big debate everyone was waiting on regarding the mods and the moderation team? 🙂

Of course it’s significant. I mean, I deleted the whole thread myself, so... yeah. yeahAnd that’s on them, I guess. They're taking the risk. And honestly, it’s not just about that one thing either. I’ve been keeping an eye on what Nicholas King is up to, and I mean, it just doesn't make any sense.

This other thing... I honestly have zero clue what we're even talking about.

I went ahead and deleted the thread. Honestly, when people start making topics that are "related" just to follow me around, I take it as trolling. It’s nothing against the ZKP community, it just feels like someone is being bored or something.

I'm actually helping organize a Pride parade running from Boise to Boise.

Well, isn't that just groundbreaking? 😍

honestly one of the best slogans EVER:
not a cowboy, but I got a boyfriend. 🙂 👍

I think you caught my drift—women are naturally drawn to that confident, strong, tall guy who's going to provide for her and make sure her kids are taken care of...

The divide between rural areas and the city is real, and I can back that up with actual studies, not just some gossip over coffee with my girlfriends in town. 😉

Well, I'm also saying things are divided, 🙂 just not in the way you think, because otherwise, nobody would have ever elected Donald Trump as mayor.

makes me wonder if you're gay, since you seem to know so much about what women want? 🤷😍

placidtinker2 said:Look, we aren't talking about the last twenty years here.

It’s scientifically proven that women gravitate toward men with strong, commanding presence.
The weak ones aren't even really interested in their own gender anyway 🙂

So, save that whole "rural vs. urban" debate for your girlfriends.

Having presence doesn't mean being aggressive.
The urban-rural divide is real, and I can back that up with actual studies, not just me grabbing coffee with my girls in downtown LA. 😉

placidtinker2 said:At the end of the day, women tend to gravitate toward that more assertive, rugged type, and eventually, sexual selection just takes its course. It’s how a mother passes down traits to her son...

I mean, maybe that holds water in some tiny rural town somewhere, but cities are a different beast entirely.
And besides, people have more than just sons to worry about.
Man, what an absolute fantasy... giving these totally average, crude people some kind of epic superpower.
Look, let's be real—as far as I'm concerned, those two guys are still 👍, and we all know exactly where they ended up in life.

placidtinker2 said:And the folks around here in the city... they're just a little bit lukewarm... 🙂
It’s common knowledge that you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. That's exactly why those New York City Mayor types end up in charge...

I mean, what millennium are we even living in? We haven't been fighting off wolves for ages, so I guess that whole "sharp edge against barbarism" thing—what a nasty word, by the way—is kind of played out. 😉

placidtinker2 said:Did you totally miss the point of the thread?

We’re discussing why there isn't a dedicated regional political party for California, and then you swoop in with "history."
The history of California, the history of its people, its culture...
California isn't just San Francisco and Maui; it's also places like Fresno, Bakersfield, and the Central Valley too...

bingo! and honestly, there's no party because this area was such a massive melting pot that it's hard to tell who's aligned with who in any given movement.
And that's actually a good thing.
Trying to push regionalism in California just leads to every single city fighting itself, and we're way too small for that kind of drama.

just a square head and a shoulder on top...

man, that probably wouldn't even be a thing if people actually thought about it.

but yeah, squareheads and guys with those division mustaches aren't exactly crowd favorites in the city.
they're kinda... harsh toward people. 😁

And what about those communists? I mean, they seem pretty sketchy to me.
Also, you're kind of tripping here—not that I care, since I guess I am a bit of a hippie myself.
If you'd called me a traitor, maybe I would've actually believed you!

placidtinker2 said:Historians

yeah, okay, I get that being a historian is basically a niche job for a handful of people, but I honestly thought people still gave a damn about ancient history.
I mean, even though the USA is an awesome, interesting place—especially the Mediterranean Coast—it’s just... I don't know, it makes zero sense to me why everyone's suddenly obsessed with talking about whether certain tiny little towns actually functioned as independent states back then. 😉

steeltiger5 said:Genetics would suggest that quite a bit actually survived.

I mean, kind of, I guess. Why you getting all worked up?

There were some mountain folk back in the day, but they're long gone—swallowed up by history ages ago.
The place names are still around, sure, but the people aren't.
If Alexander Hamilton is lying, then I guess I am too.

placidtinker2 said:So regarding those speeches, those specific tribes used to wander all over the Central Valley, through San Francisco and Sacramento, down to San Diego, all the way to Lubbock, with the border being the river...

And along the way, we got steamrolled by the Turks, the Mongols, the French, the Germans, and pretty much everyone else.
I guess it's hard to believe anything remains of the Delmar legacy at this point.

steeltiger5 said:it was basically just Hillbillies moving into Maui once the locals all headed off to Argentina☕

yeah, great. so that's probably why you heard that, since the Maui locals pretty much cleared out for the States anyway. ☕

does anyone even care about that anymore? 🤷
