...Look, I work in construction, and seeing you type out "EASY MONEY DEBT" is just... wow. 😂...Let's really break down those words for a second. EASY. MONEY. DEBT. I mean, good luck if my crew ever hears you talking like that. Maybe try picking words that don't sound so sketchy next time, especially since there are kids on this board....😂😂😂
p.s. If you're actually looking for some "easy money" to pay off that debt, give "The Two Doves" a call at 555-0005... actually, never mind, I see annerrri already gave you the heads up. Whatever. Take care....
Harold Sanders2 said:Regarding that first sentence—honestly, you deserve a lecture and a slap in the face. Is that what your old man left you in his will? It’s pretty obvious who you really are.
....so, $100 to not live in the States?
Suffer then!!! 😍
Living half-alive, see? Just kidding. You owe me 50 bucks, though. How are you planning on paying up? Even if we split it halfway! 😁
So, when am I getting my money? ☕
I guess all I can say is that a picture is worth a thousand words.http://www.nytimes.com/health/article/examplep.s. I bet when you head out to work, you're like—"Hey Mom, can you iron my white shirt? It's got way too many wrinkles."

...hm...I don't really make those calls... that's more up to the CEO 😁

..hm....if my checking account is already overdrawn, and I keep pulling out an extra $100 every time, am I just digging myself into a deeper hole or what? 😕 🙂
Harold Sanders2 said:What exactly did you do to contribute to this government of yours? They're the ones calling the shots, so leave our generals out of it—especially since you aren't even standing with them. Those guys fought specifically so we wouldn't be in this mess today. They didn't spend their lives in the service just so people could complain now. They worked to give the little guy a fighting chance, which made everything else easier. Go ahead, keep helping them out if that's what you want.
About 80% of Americans are just like you, or probably worse. What should they say? "Oh, let's not speak ill of our generals."
Go ahead and cry about it. Nobody's stopping you. There are plenty of whiners out there; one more won't make a difference. Just try not to mention names that you haven't earned the right to speak.
Wow... another big patriot (it's people like you who keep the treasury empty)
....what, like an extra $100 so you can survive outside the US?

Lisa Kern38, you're out of your mind! 😁
...man, Henry Cox78...this happened to me today and it isn't even 4 PM yet....where is this circus of a country heading????...there are just no rules here...nothing...people just do whatever they feel like...can you imagine if this happened in England—some CEO calls up accounting and goes, "Hey, just give everyone half their pay this month"?????...and then people start acting all high and mighty about those big-shot politicians...but honestly, I don't give a damn about any of them...I'm already completely screwed for the 8th.
...So, I roll up to the job site this morning, having a little back-and-forth with the crew, and I tell them I’m heading over to the office to grab some blueprints for the boss. On my way, I figure I'll hit an ATM to see if my paycheck cleared. I walk up, shove the card in, punch in my PIN, and hit "Account Balance." The machine just starts grinding. It’s just stuttering away. I’m thinking, damn, maybe this thing is broken. Then, out of nowhere, this stupid little slip of paper spits out. I grab it, look at it, then look down at my hand—wondering if I accidentally grabbed someone else's card—but nope, it's mine. I look behind me, nobody's there. I try again. Card in, PIN in, and the machine just grinds and grinds... and spits out another slip with the exact same numbers. I look closer and realize it says I only got half my pay. I couldn't believe it. I thought it was some kind of joke. I head straight into the bank. I get to the teller and ask, "Excuse me, could I please get a printout of all the deposits and withdrawals from my checking account?" And this lady, acting all high and mighty, looks at me and goes, "Well, sir, do you use the internet? Because if you used online banking, you could check your transactions there." I was absolutely livid. I'm sitting there cursing my boss under my breath, and now this bird is lecturing me about the internet. I told her, "Look, lady, I've still got a rotary phone at home, my walls have wallpaper, my TV is a giant tube, and in my spare time, I read tea leaves. Now, can you just give me the printout, please?" She looked offended, but honestly, I didn't care. And when she finally hands me the statement? My heart sinks. They really only deposited half my check. I almost passed out right there. I start doing the math in my head—after I pay back what I owe, pay rent and bills, buy groceries... there's basically nothing left. I walk out of there sweating. I'm driving along thinking about the state of things, wondering if I'll even have enough for the electric bill. I hop in the car, turn it on, and the low fuel light is blinking. Great. I remember I still have to make my $327 monthly car payment for this piece of junk. I shut the engine off and drive to another bank to pay the loan. This one has those big double swinging doors. I push one open, walk in, let it swing back, and accidentally slam it into some old lady behind me. "Oh, excuse me, ma'am!" I said. She just looked totally lost, turned around, and walked right back out the door instead of going in. I pay off that damn loan, and after the half-pay situation, I'm even more broke than before. I get back in the car and call the accounting office. A woman answers. I tell her who I am and ask if they received a certain notice. She asks, "What notice?" I tell her it was from the local community center. She says they haven't received anything and asks why they would need to send us a notice. I explain that they were supposed to send a notice explaining that it's standard practice to pay the full amount upfront. She paused for a second, realized what I was getting at, and said, "Well, the director gave orders that way." I asked, "Who? The director?" She said yes. I just said, "Well, thanks for that." At least now I know why. I look at the clock and realize half my workday is gone. Whatever. I did my part. I call the foreman at the site and say, "Hey Ivan, it's the boss." He asks if I'm bringing those blueprints. I tell him, "Yeah, I'll bring them, but not until Monday morning. I'm not working the afternoon shift." So I head to the gas station and fill up with $17 (which is like 80 percent pure American gasoline). I'm just done with the company, the director, and this whole job. I'm going home. If they only pay me half my check, I'm only working half the day. Plus, the drive home was mostly downhill, so I just coasted in neutral.
p.s. So where is Part 3 heading?
Jacob Palmer12 said:Hey everyone,
My GGT has been sitting high, maybe around 100-200, for years now. My doctor wants me to get a liver biopsy since it's supposedly the only way to figure out what's actually going on.
Is it really possible for weekend drinking and the occasional joint to keep my levels that high for years?
Anyway, I'm kind of freaking out about this biopsy. If anyone here has gone through it, I'd love to hear how it went... does it actually hurt? How long is the recovery like?
thanks 🙂
...the weekends and the weed...yeah, they definitely can..and honestly, they can do permanent damage too....look...God above...made sure you have...2 eyes...2 ears...2 kidneys...2 arms...2 legs....but some things didn't come in pairs...and those things are...your liver...your heart...your brain....so everything you only have ONE of—protect it like a stash at customs...you know what I mean....take care of your liver....it regenerates pretty fast if there's actually something left to regenerate...but if it's gone...then we're screwed....
A buddy of mine was in the exact same boat....then he went 3 months without alcohol...soda...weed...stuff like that...got his bloodwork done again...everything looked fine and those liver enzymes or whatever were almost back to normal...not quite, but close...meaning they dropped significantly.
...just use your head.
Matthew Young65 said:Look, guys, I work in a warehouse, so I'm lifting heavy stuff almost every single day. About seven days ago, I started feeling this pain in my lower back, and it’s been creeping down into my legs and even reaching my feet. I’m also getting this weakness in the area just above my groin, on both sides. It isn't even really sharp pain anymore, more like just a sense of weakness. I thought maybe it was just weight gain or something, but I don't have any lumps or anything tender there. Has anyone else dealt with something like this???
...since warehouse workers are basically our brothers...and we're out here working construction...I feel for you, man. And I'll try to give you an answer. First off, don't sweat it too much. It's nothing major. It would be weird if a warehouse guy had a headache...but when your back hurts, I guess that's just part of the job...🙂
...listen...about a year ago, I had this lower back pain that suddenly shot down one of my legs. I can't even remember which one. For a week, I was crawling around the construction site like a wounded animal. Out of nowhere, it just stopped. That leg hurt so bad I couldn't even sleep. It went on for ten days until I finally hit up the ER to get a shot. Five days later, the pain was gone. Just when I was starting to feel optimistic, like a politician promising everything is fine, this other pain showed up—the kind I described in detail on this forum before. Same thing, looking for answers... but nothing. Like I said, then this pain hit the right side of my lower back, near where the liver would be but on the back side. That lasted about six months. Eventually, I had enough and went for a massage. Spent like 3 $0.00 on it. My wife massaged just that spot for two months, every 2 or 3 days. And it went away. So, I highly recommend a MEDICAL MASSAGE... I mean, not some cheap knockoff, but a real professional who actually works the muscle...
Nowadays, I don't have any pain at all.
What you're describing sounds a lot like what happened to me first. It sounds like sciatica. There's a chance a nerve is getting pinched and shooting down your leg. That's sciatica. I think you might have those chronic ones, similar to my temporary flare-ups.
Bottom line—don't panic. But definitely go get a massage. If you don't have the cash for it—well... I don't know what to tell you. Honestly, damn. I ended up in debt over it. Maybe you should try too. Anyway, hang in there.
Angela Kelly11 said:Does anyone have any insight on how I can figure out if I’ll actually make it through to the airport for my 7:40 AM flight? They’re claiming the main highway to the airport is going to be completely shut down on April 4th and 5th, yet somehow I’m still expected to catch this flight on the 4th... and if I don't make it, who exactly would I even file a claim against for the cost of a ruined trip caused by this supposed "act of God"...
This is just a textbook case of someone bragging about having enough cash to fly and how much they love traveling. 😁
p.s. I own a five-bedroom house in Malibu, a yacht, three cars... I'm not selling anything, just bragging. 😁
Casey Palmer5 said:I’m trying to wrap my head around how it can even be legal to stop people living right on the route from opening their windows or raising their blinds when that chimpanzee is passing through. I mean, privacy and rights within your own home are supposed to be fundamental pillars of the Constitution, so how did we even get to this point? Is this whole mess ever going to be cleared out of our lives after it completely paralyzes the entire city, shuts down schools, and brings businesses to a standstill?
I’ll probably have to declare a forced vacation since none of my clients will be able to make it to the office. Who am I even supposed to send the invoices to at this rate?
It was just like that situation with the Pope in the river... they were welding manholes... and kept welding others for another year... damn, I think there are still welds left... neighbors who lived near where the Pope stayed weren't allowed to open their windows, but on top of that, they had to keep their blinds down... that's just how it was...
Regarding this chimp thing of yours... I guess it's probably easier for insurance companies to monitor everything when all the windows are closed rather than half of them being open... but the main thing is—say someone in NYC actually hits the chimp... what do you think happens then? They aren't just gonna bury him and call it a day... everything goes to hell. We aren't protecting him because we love him... it's because having him dead could cause us way more problems than having him alive!!! You agree?
fadedrider02 said:Thanks for the response..
I appealed the fine I was given, and that was that... I never even got a court summons..
So, I have zero intention of showing up in court..
Plus, I've moved since then, so it wouldn't even be under the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles court anymore. They'd have to transfer the case to my new area, right?
Just tie a flag around your neck and go nuts... and for every appeal, just shove a cucumber up your ass.... man, if President Franjo Harmon were still around, you wouldn't even have a pedestrian license, let alone a driver's license.
And you, Jonathan Bishop76, just go play in traffic.
Jacob Miller2 said:fadedrider02, I wouldn't let those fanatics get under your skin. I honestly don't understand why people make such a massive deal out of an appeal. The statute of limitations on this violation is pretty old, so you can likely just wait it out.
If you just keep filing appeals against their appeals, eventually the whole thing will just expire.
So this is what we call a lawyer after five years of law school... give me a break. I guess why even bother going to college if this is the level of advice we're getting.
Jonathan Bishop76 said:Why not just call the local precinct or the municipal court and ask them straight up what they want with you?
Yeah, right... maybe they need a striptease. Or maybe I should whip up some pancakes for them. Or maybe they want me to dance on a pole... or I don't know... paint their fence... or clean their toilets...
fadedrider02 said:It’s not even about whether I would have paid the fine or not... it’s just that we all know how things actually work in this country. And I wasn't putting anyone at risk on the road; the speed limit signs are placed exactly where they don't belong, and they're nowhere to be found where they actually should be.
So I'm just asking: if the government couldn't even be bothered to respond to my formal appeal, what gives them the right to send the police straight to my front door?
Look... you aren't just complaining, you're acting like you're some kind of expert on where traffic signs ought to go... that's what I'm talking about—it's a total mess all over the country. I guess if you had just paid the fine first and then went looking for justice, I wouldn't say anything... you might have actually had a leg to stand on. But this? You're acting like YOU know better than everyone else where those signs belong. What else do you know? Maybe reading tea leaves? Or predicting the future? And as for the police showing up at your house... I mean, who really cares? You complained. What, do you want us to sit here and debate your little appeal now?
p.s. Read back what you wrote: "we all know how this country works." Yeah—it's people like you that make it so we all know exactly how this country works.
Just be embarrassed by yourself, honestly.
fadedrider02 said:Hey everyone, I could use some advice here:
Does anyone know how the statute of limitations actually works for traffic violations (specifically speeding)? The citation happened back in April 2006, and I filed an appeal in August 2006. Since then, absolutely nothing happened. Then, out of nowhere two months ago, the police show up at my house to serve a decision. They couldn't catch me because I was away on a business trip. Now, they’re showing up again these past few days trying to "escort" me to municipal court... Can they even do that if they haven't officially served me the decision yet? Or at least attempted to? What's the deal with the statute of limitations in these cases? And what should my next move be...
If you were speeding, why the hell are you complaining anyway? Were you wrong? I guess I'd personally want to slap the cuffs on you and throw the whole book at you. DRIVE FAST AND THEN WHINE ABOUT IT!
GOD DAMN IT PEOPLE, SERIOUSLY, CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT KIND OF NATION WE ARE... AND THEN AFTER EVERYTHING, WE STILL END UP WITH THE SAME TYPE OF PEOPLE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, jeez, I wouldn't want to pay either... but honestly, what kind of example are you setting for your own kids? It’s not just about the fine... it's like, you drive too fast—you get caught—and then you complain just to try and dodge the bill. If you don't feel like paying, maybe you should just go volunteer at a soup kitchen instead.
Whatever, screw the police, the courts, and all of it... people shouldn't be surprised when things blow up in their faces after acting like this.
Working at a shipyard and having your paycheck delayed by three months? Now *that* is a tragedy. What you’re dealing with right now is just the fallout from making some impulsive decisions, and now you're coming to us for advice. I guess when you were acting like you knew everything and didn't bother asking anyone for guidance, you didn't think this would happen. Sorry, but nobody here is going to fix this for you. Besides, I don't even see the point in giving you advice on whether to commit a crime or not. Look, I'm not even judging you. But regarding those issues—being nineteen, feeling like a kid, wondering how to move forward—well, if you had been more careful and actually learned a few things, this wouldn't be happening. It's like they say: you turn out how your parents raised you. Just realize that you've stepped into the adult world now, and there's no going back from what you've done. You're different from your peers now, regardless of the circumstances. You've crossed a line that can't be uncrossed, and someone needs to be blunt with you about that. Simply put: WELCOME TO THE ADULT WORLD AND THE PROBLEMS THAT HAUNT US ALL too.
So, I wanted to let the group know that I finally went to see my doctor with those blood test results. Honestly, the second I sat down... it was the same old story. Same thing every single time. I asked her if things were really as bad as everyone makes them out to be, you know? She just looked at me and said, "Look, you're eating like there's no tomorrow, and if you keep this up, you're going to have real problems." I was like, okay, is it actually that critical? She told me it wasn't an emergency yet, but if I thought it was fine, I was dead wrong. Apparently, my triglycerides are through the roof, which basically means my liver can't keep up with everything I'm shoving down my throat, so now my liver enzymes are spiked too. It’s not even a close call—the limit is 44, and I’m sitting at 51. So, she basically banned me from eating anything I've enjoyed for the last decade for the next three months. Dammit. She also mentioned that some people have cholesterol levels as high as 12, so I guess I'm not totally bottoming out here. Still, I suppose it’s worth getting blood work done at least once a year. I used to just go every couple of years, but I guess I'll stick to annually from now on.
And here’s the kicker... she says if I actually start eating healthy, everything will go back to normal. Yeah, right. That would probably mean dropping about 45 pounds first. Whatever. I guess I've got plenty of work to do before next summer.
Just figured I'd share so maybe someone else finds this useful.
