aha, so your take is basically that both of them just crawled back out of the gutter and now we get to watch this whole mess reset and play out all over again from scratch? like, let's just smooth everything over and pretend nothing happened? cool, cool.
honestly though, I was dying to see how Genny actually clawed his way out of that absolute disaster, mostly because his entrance into that situation was just too damn smooth to pass up. I mean, look, what we got isn't even bad—that ending hits hard—but still...
Sure, it's a prequel—you basically see Jimmy's early years—but calling it a sequel?
So what, are we just pretending Genny crawled out of his grave or something?
I was really hoping the plot would push things further, you know? Like, show us how little Jimmy and little Genny first met back in the day. Genny used to be this chubby kid with a face so red they called him "Red" back then (okay, fine, he was always kind of a round guy later on too).😬
I mean, look, Genny didn't have the same upbringing Jimmy did. It feels like he didn't really step into his own until his old man had to start laying low. Until then, he was just hanging out in the shadow of his dad, totally shielded from the real grit of it all.
That blonde woman over in the USA caught my eye; I was expecting some kind of spark or tension between her and Jimmy. But nope. Nothing.
Personally, I think we’ll see her again. They’ve basically become allies at this point.
At the end, young Jimmy meets up with Attilio, who tells him they're going to meet Don Corleone. If we assume the story takes place in the early 90s, but the actors playing Attilio and Don Corleone are only about three years apart in real life, how the hell did Tony Soprano become the big boss by age 18 or 19?
Maybe he wasn't even the actual boss yet, just running things for the street kids or something.
Damage. But honestly, who cares about digging into those tiny details anyway?
I don't even know what to say, man. This series is just way too gritty and brutal for our usual tastes.🤷
Just finished watching. Honestly, even though it felt a little forced and kind of half-baked in parts, I’m still giving it a thumbs up. Because of how good the show has been, Jimmy just has so much credit with me that I can't bring myself to tear him apart. He definitely missed the mark a bit with that whole subplot involving the Russians and the guys from the States, though. But hey, even that was smoothed over by a pretty killer ending.
All in all, it’s a pretty cool little detour into the directing style of one of the main guys from the series.
So look, gay couples fought tooth and nail to be treated as equals in society, and now that they actually are, suddenly everything is "wrong" again. It’s hilarious how everyone else gets to wiggle out of their responsibilities, but they’re the only ones stuck holding the bag. Well, guess what? You wanted equality. You got it.
What's even the issue here? Why should they be treated any differently? They asked for equal rights, and they're finally getting them. 🤷
Because equality isn't just a free pass; it means you have to deal with both sides of the coin.
They want all the perks without any of the consequences, but that's just not how the world works, buddy. ☕
I mean, how else are you supposed to spice up a romance between two guys if not with a little bit of burning passion? You really have to dig deeper and figure out what the author was actually trying to say here. It’s called artistic freedom, for crying out loud. Why are all these people suddenly acting so high and mighty about it?

if we're playing that game, then I guess I'm Gandalf and you're
brightpilot6 said:Just imagine that—he actually went for the leg. He’s probably wearing some kind of baggy trousers, maybe sweatpants or even a jumpsuit. It’s pretty obvious that dogs can sense a total fashion disaster from a mile away ☕
those baggy 🤦
they say bell-bottoms... Byron wears bell-bottoms just like Paul Breitner ☕
actually, he basically flew straight into the dog's airspace wearing those things 😂
I’m 100% with Byron on this one. I recently got myself a dog, and honestly, the last thing I want to do is drag random people into some messy, awkward situation just because of him. The real issue here? It's those selfish owners who think the entire world revolves around them. You know the type—people who try to fix their own deep-seated complexes in these twisted, borderline pathological ways.
Until recently, I was actually pretty grossed out by the idea of ever owning a dog, but life happens and circumstances change, so now he’s basically gotten under my skin. Still, even with him, there have to be limits.
If things start getting weird or sketchy, you just call the cops and call it a day. At the end of the day, human dignity comes first.☕
And as for those restaurants? For Christ's sake, get them out of business. Just kick them out.
I always find myself circling back to him. He’s basically the lighthouse for a lost generation—just wandering through the swamps and grit of everything from the Vietnam era all the way to right now.
A few personal picks (even though there's a literal ocean of killer tracks out there)
He even had those moments where he dipped his toes into other genres—kind of like how the Stones would experiment sometimes.
She might actually be my favorite actress, hands down. I just love that sharp, intelligent look she gets in her eyes, the way she carries herself when she talks, and those strong, defined facial features. Plus, she’s incredibly sexy. That gaze and her whole vibe? Absolutely killer.
hold up, there’s one thing I just can’t wrap my head around regarding us Americans. look, both sides—the USA and the Mexicans—have spent nothing but time kicking us Americans around and treating us like dirt. so why on earth should I be sitting here trying to show anyone any kind of empathy? honestly, just get lost, both of you, wherever you came from ☕
What are the odds of getting a two-hour podcast where you just sit and talk about whatever comes to mind? What kind of chances are we looking at there? 🍿
Man, I just survived a total brawl with some thugs; I honestly don't have the energy left to die, let alone deal with anything more intense than this, my dear Lord Byron ☕
I actually went out and bought some wireless Sony headphones, only to realize at the end of the day that the damn cord was longer than the one on those cheap, bottom-of-the-barrel budget pairs anyway.
