Honestly, this one’s been sitting near the top of my list lately

Your top 3 Sci-Fi movie scenes? in Movies ·
sorry guys, but you don't stand a chance against this one. You're totally unarmed. ☕

just a montage of various scenes 🙏

the movie is already a visual masterpiece on its own, let alone everything else about it...

sorry... I really feel for you guys
Train to Busan 2: Peninsula (2020) in Movies ·
It’s like the same director didn't even film this. Honestly, the disappointment here hits right on par with how much *Escape from L.A.* let me down—whereas the first one was such a pleasant little surprise, this is just an awkward, massive letdown. If I had to weigh the pros against the cons, we're looking at a pathetic 20:80 split. The car chases? Yeah, they aren't just on steroids; they're on freaking Dolby Surround steroids. But even then, those were basically the only thing keeping me glued to this garbage until the credits rolled. And don't even get me started on the cast. The lead actors are actually great, but the villains and the zombies? Total bottom-of-the-barrel trash. Actually, scratch that, even decent trash would have been better than this.

And once those two are off-screen, there isn't a single memorable hero OR villain in sight. Just pack it up, folks... it's a total wash.

Steven Newman50 said:They’d actually kill it at a dive bar in Twin Peaks. 🙂 Seriously, while they're playing, you just get this sudden, overwhelming urge to go out and punch someone in the face. 😁

I honestly can't believe I'm sitting here watching this crap🤦

I don't even know where to start with this one. Honestly, my head is spinning just thinking about it. It’s like when you’re driving down a highway in the middle of nowhere, Nebraska, and suddenly the road just... vanishes. No detour signs, no nothing. Just empty space where there should be asphalt. That’s how I feel right now. I was reading some stuff earlier—don't ask me which corner of the internet, we all know the ones—and it hit me. Everything feels so disconnected lately. You look at the news, you look at what people are saying on social media, and it’s just noise. Pure, unadulterated static. It’s like trying to listen to a concert through a brick wall. You can hear the bass thumping, you know it's happening, but the melody? Forget about it. Gone. And then you’ve got people like Patrick Martin chiming in with their usual takes. Look, I respect the hustle, I really do, but sometimes it feels like we're all just shouting into a void, hoping someone—anyone—is actually listening instead of just waiting for their turn to talk. It's exhausting. It's like being stuck in a loop, a constant cycle of reaction without any actual reflection. We're all so busy reacting that we've forgotten how to just *be*. Anyway, I'm rambling. My coffee is cold, my mood is sour, and I feel like I've been staring at a screen for ten years straight. Just a thought. Or a rant. Probably both. I can't even begin to process this. Honestly, it’s like trying to explain color to someone who’s lived their whole life in a basement. You know that feeling when you're watching a movie and the logic just completely falls off a cliff? It's exactly like that. Total nonsense. I mean, seriously, how do people even function with this kind of mindset? It’s like they’re operating on a different frequency entirely—one that's tuned strictly to static and bad decisions. Just... wow. I'm actually speechless, which is a rare feat for me, let me tell you.
I’m not talking about those fancy-schmancy clubs. I mean the dive bars where guys like Woody Harrelson or Michael Shannon wander into, looking for trouble. You know the vibe—just a bunch of long-haired, tattooed rednecks hanging out, peddling crack and picking fights with girls. It’s gross. The ceiling fans are just spinning uselessly in the heat, everyone is covered in sweat, and there's probably a fly or two buzzing around your head while some local drunk sips on a Budweiser. That's the scene.😁

Look, when I talked about hitting the desert, I wasn't picturing some two cowboys sitting around slow-cooking a pot of beans over a tiny campfire. That’s just not it. I’m talking about tearing down a highway in some absolute beast of a muscle car, windows down, blasting their music while riding shotgun with the right people. Sure, their tracks flirt pretty heavily with the dark side—you know, that whole outlaw, sinning-on-the-edge vibe—but they always leave you a way out. There's always an exit strategy.

I mean, honestly? I can live with that. It works for me. ☕

it’s basically nothing but sin and chaos here ☕

I honestly don't think there’s a better way to capture that whole Texas/USA vibe than those mid-tempo grooves they pull off in most of their tracks. It just hits right... makes you feel like you're cruising through the desert at sunset.

Man, I just love Americans 🙄

They've got one of the most quintessential American sounds out there, and honestly, that shift they made toward that heavy car culture and Coke-fueled energy in the late 80s? Absolutely legendary.

Just one page dedicated to these kings 🤦

That pure American rock sound 🙏

absolute legends 🙏 🙏 🙏
Suicide Squad (2001) in Movies ·
I don’t know who decided to dig this thread up after all this time, but man, this movie is absolutely killer.

I remember binge-watching basically all those Japanese—well, Asian—films back in the day, maybe seven or eight years ago, just tearing through them one after another in one massive sitting.

It’s a unique culture, and their movies reflect that perfectly; honestly, it's essential viewing for any true cinephile out there.☕
Nicolas Cage in Movies ·
His biggest issue is just this incredibly grating, over-the-top hamminess; he totally misreads what his role in a movie should even be.

And don't even get me started on the directors who actually let him get away with it.
Nicolas Cage in Movies ·
Snake Eyes and Matchstick Men—those are the kinds of flicks that actually click with him. Everything else he puts out? Just total garbage.☕
Album of the Week: The Beach Boys (1997) in Music ·
I’ve got that CD, man. I used to blast it constantly back in the day, just lived with it for a while. As for the movie? Honestly, I couldn't care less about watching it. It’s just one of those perfect soundtracks for when you're chilling out on some coastal porch somewhere, maybe catching a breeze in Malibu or something. It’s got this heavy, sentimental vibe... kind of melancholic, even feels a little bit lethargic if you let it sink in too deep.
Al Capone (2020) in Movies ·
Man, I am seriously obsessed with those latest Al Capone trades lately—honestly, it's basically my full-time job at this point.
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Matthew Booth said:My personal theory? Plenković was basically using these investigations to purge the Republican Party of all those old Karamarko loyalists, and now they're all getting swept up. It’s brilliant, really—he managed to kill two birds with one stone. He gets to play the "tough on corruption" hero while simultaneously wiping out anyone within the party who was plotting against him.

Forget all that "cleaning up" nonsense, when are they actually going to cave?

The Democrats are acting like literal guerrilla insurgents at this point, tearing down the last few defenses. They're absolute pros at that kind of sabotage.
Honestly, we could probably learn a thing or two from them if we wanted to be that ruthless.
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Carol Newman2 said:Now Plenković is calling on the Department of Justice to turn around and start investigating the Democratic Party too.

Talk about being a day late and a dollar short.

The Democratic Party is spreading through everything like a virus, using those Trojan horse tactics to sneak in everywhere.

Seriously, this level of recklessness and pure arrogance is going to be their downfall again.
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
It honestly feels like these new scandals are being cooked up just to serve the Democratic Party🙏

If you guys in the Republican Party actually think this stuff is working in your favor, you’re dead wrong. You're watching your support vanish in real-time, day by day.

I’m sitting here wondering who’s really pulling the strings in this country and running these processes. I mean, seriously? Of all times, we have these things coming to light right in the middle of an election cycle?

Who's screwing who here?

It's pathetic.
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
So, last night, this guy from the Democratic Party was out there acting all high and mighty, bragging about how over 300 university professors helped put together their platform.
The real "contribution" they made was during that massive strike where they teamed up with that other group just to tank the Republican Party's numbers right before the elections—both the European ones and the presidential ones.

And you guys actually want these people as coalition partners? Give me a break, geniuses.
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
What kind of performance is this? 🤦
It’s like some Roman governor rolling into his provinces thinking he can just stomp out a few small fires, only to find the whole damn place is an inferno that's already spiraled completely out of control.
We’re hitting that painful moment of reality. Honestly, the tragedy here is my gut feeling that the Democrats are going to pull it off again—just by using a tiny third of their hyper-mobilized base to sweep everything. It’s going to be a carbon copy of those presidential elections.

While those two singers are busy bickering over nothing, a third one—the real predator—is swooping in to snatch up all the loot.

I honestly don't know whether to laugh or just sit here and cry...
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
I really hope everyone’s finally seeing the light here

Because look, if the rhetoric between the right wing and the Republican Party doesn't pull a complete 180—if they don't stop letting their egos run the show and actually start being constructive for once—
it's all going straight down the drain

you might as well just start handing out congratulations to the Democrats

Grace Sanders24 said:But honestly, I wasn't exactly blown away by Fabian's performance.🍿

Alright, fine, but if you're gonna be like that, please—just for once—name one single better portrayal of a Nazi collaborator. Who actually nailed that kind of role better on screen?

Because for me, this is hands down the most believable depiction of that whole atmosphere of fear and persecution... you know, those specific types of people who just act as tools for tyranny in American cinema. 🤷

It’s like some sort of American equivalent to Amon Göth from the list.
