$4.00/Nathan Cox25 She messed up again—not sure what her deal is lately... I’ll have to bring it up with her, though she probably thinks we went with Monica instead. Her orange chocolate cake was actually a hit with my husband, he loved it. We won't be getting around to fixing that until sometime next year. Which flavors did you guys pick up?

Does anyone know a bakery that does dessert shooters, something like this:
I saw those kinds of desserts at a wedding at the Hilton, but they used Delivered Catering, and I don't think they specialize just in sweets... Are there any other options out there?
Is this what you mean? http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4907785_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6706041_n.jpg
These are from Fancy Cake! Honestly, their cakes look incredible.😲
Pretty great! Just a heads-up—don't go with the mini stands. I saw a wedding last weekend where the cake basically took flight while the couple was trying to cut it. Something more like this: http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:O...-cakes.jpg&t=1 http://londoncake.com/images/Wedding...ecorations.jpg The whole thing started wobbling during the first slice, then just slid right off the stand on the second. It probably depends on how the cake is built or the frosting used, but still...
Favory actually owns their own bakery they partner with—I think they handle stuff like this too—and honestly, they’re pretty budget-friendly for the most part.
So why isn't Favory working with Charlotte? They're known for those high-end cakes and pastries.
That one where the newlyweds sit on a single level looks nice too 😁 Scott Perez62, thanks for the PM. Just let me know if they handle the service or if we need to bring our own cakes and pastries—it’s not like we'll be passing by Washington, D.C. or Helena on the way anyway.
What about the prices? I called them about some pastries, and if I remember right, they quoted me around $33/lb (roughly—I can't recall the exact number, just that it was way higher than our budget).
Has anyone actually tried the treats over at Corner Bakery?
Don't the French just nail those pastries? 🤣 That's honestly the only cake on those stands I actually like. Usually, I'm more about the classic tiered stuff. Once I finally get some downtime to dig through some French photographers' portfolios, maybe I'll stumble onto something else... beautiful being cake... and tasty. 😁
12 😲 I’d say 10 is plenty if those tables are larger—ours are smaller, so we're probably looking at 6 to 8 people per table.
And nobody even mentioned the cake photo I posted yesterday 😢 just left me hanging on whether anyone actually liked it or not... http://www.meszarovits.com/images/ga...eszarovits.jpg
Found this on some French site... turns out I really dig French photography—it's much more my style than anything from England or the States.😁
I’m always down for dessert—doesn't really matter if it's a fancy cake or just something simple 😁 as long as it actually tastes good... if they're bad, I'll pass.
Man, how many people are we talking about at one table? Let's not crowd everyone too much—it can really kill the vibe.
Maybe you'll actually see some fruit—usually, you don't see any at weddings in New York City. I say usually, though some people are starting to offer it now, but honestly, it's still pretty rare.
I don't see the big deal. I honestly don't get why people would feel awkward grabbing cookies if they're served individually—if it were a buffet, nobody would be stuffing their face all night because you actually have to get up and grab it yourself. 🤣 It’s actually not a bad call. We've got plenty of room in our hall, so we might just set it up that way—somewhere near the kitchen, right next to the table where we'll have the feedback cards out. 😁
Honestly, this whole coffee situation is just a massive headache. We’ve hit up way too many restaurants now—I don't see the point in them handing out coffee when by the time it arrives most people have already moved on.
And what's the deal with these huge tables if you're telling me there won't be any room left for dessert?
