+1 Frenchman, just 2:30 left on the clock.
What’s the line on the Spanish person for the day after tomorrow? 😁
7-1 lead over the Czech Republic in the 20th minute of the second half... let's gooooooo!

found a decent stream for anyone looking: http://www.ustream.tv/channel-popup/amigafun-es-111
Wait, hold up... 17-17 France-Czechia?

It was actually 17-10 😲

Germans out on vacation with a decent -5.
Russia vs. Ukraine 37-33 (21-16)

Russia pulled away early, then the Ukrainians almost clawed their way back, but it never really turned into a nail-biter. Igropulo was 11/16, Rastvortsev 9/14, Kovalev 7/10, and Chipurin went 6/6—honestly, the guy couldn't miss. Looking at the clock, it’s pretty obvious they’re basically playing with just 7 or 8 guys out there. Not much choice for the Ukrainians either; obviously, Burka 9/15 and Onufriyenko 9/18 are running the whole show.

Iceland vs. Mexico 29-29 (15-11)

Iceland jumped out to a lead right away, and Gustavsson was absolutely killing it in the cage. It stayed pretty much that way until the end, where Iceland was up by 3 or 4 before Mexico, led by someone like Stanković on the wings, managed to catch up. Iceland missed a penalty that would've iced the game.

Denmark vs. Austria 33-29 (15-11)

Like I said before, Denmark wasn't anything special. Mogensen surprised everyone in the playoffs with 7 goals. Defense? Nothing to write home about.
We've got a bye this Wednesday during the second round of group play, so we're sitting this one out. ☕

Germany vs. Poland 25-27 (8-12)

Bielecki had the Poles up by 4 at the half, then they immediately pushed it to an 8-point lead. Those gritty Germans wouldn't quit, though—they almost clawed their way back to a tie, but just couldn't quite pull it off. Kaufmann was the only one really hitting from deep; most of the scoring came from outside, while the pivot and wing players were basically invisible on the scoreboard.

Sweden vs. Canada 25-27 (13-7)

The Canadians went through a brutal 10-minute stretch in the first half where they couldn't find the net. But man, those wings, both Žvižej and a solid Škof (who racked up 20 saves), completely turned things around. They just tore them apart on the fast breaks.

Spain vs. Czech Republic 37-25 (17-10)

The score pretty much tells the whole story. Romero was lethal, shooting 15/18, and the wings were doing plenty of damage too.

France vs. Canada 29-29 (16-16)

I tuned out of this one pretty early. The Gille brothers didn't see much action; it was mostly the other heavy hitters getting huge minutes and soaking up all the goals. The Canadians seemed to be playing with a much deeper rotation.
http://www.ehf-euro.com/Men-s-EHF-EURO-2010.359.0.html

...The Ukrainians are absolutely tearing through the Russians... some guys like Burka and Onufriyenko are just wrecking everyone.
Denmark vs. Austria is tied up at 10-10 for now. The Danes are struggling to find anything from deep, and their defense is looking pretty shaky... even playing man-up, they tried this wild 3-on-3 setup that the Austrians sliced through twice. First, the Austrians pulled the goalie, and some new guy just slipped in from the wing completely unnoticed and scored 🙏. But then, on a quick transition, they gave up a goal into an empty net. Same thing happened again—another breakthrough from the perimeter—but by the third time, the Danes didn't even bother trying that move 😬.

It's 12-12...
Poland vs. Germany 12-8 at the half

I honestly didn't care what happened until Bielecki started absolutely tearing it up. Germany is somehow staying in this thanks to some gritty defense and those wild 9-meter jump shots.

Spain vs. Czech Republic 20-13...

Romer's on fire—11 goals out of 13 attempts.
That's way out of their league.

Team USA is heading into another tournament with everyone labeling us the favorites to grab a medal, but honestly? This time around, justifying that hype is going to be a hell of a lot harder. Our whole game plan has always been built on a rock-solid defense, but looking at the roster this time, we’re missing a key piece of that foundation. It’s going to be an uphill battle. Metličić, Špoljarić, and Dominiković. He didn't earn that call-up yet. Valčić He’s dealing with some injury issues right now, so there’s no telling exactly when he’ll be back at 100%. Instead of relying on him, the younger guys are probably going to have to step up and take center stage. Kopljar, Gojun, and Marić. Honestly, I’m looking at their upcoming lineup with more anxiety than actual excitement. It’s the same old story—we’re constantly fighting an uphill battle against injuries. It feels like just when we get momentum, someone goes down. Seems like we're headed for another rough ride. Lacković Honestly, we just need to be ready right from the opening round. Having them back on the roster is a massive win for our squad. Štrlek Which one of us is actually playing left wing convincingly? Because on the other side, everyone’s already fully recovered. Ćupić So, basically, we've got nothing to worry about in those spots.

Just like those threads at the pivot position where he absolutely kills it. Vori Look, we’re used to dealing with subpar substitutions at this position by now, so I guess we just have to hope Marić from Washington, D.C. actually pulls his weight and does his job. As far as the playmaker role goes, we're basically as solid as ground with... Balić and Duvnjak. But honestly, our rising star is going to have to shuffle around some positions this time. Especially if Valčić keeps running into trouble. The real headache is going to be right wing, though—now that Metličić is out of the picture, that spot is wide open and it's going to be a total trial by fire. BuntićKopljar’s gonna tank it, and Duvnjak’s right there with him. This time, they're definitely getting shut out from the outside. Bičanić and Vuković. We've actually got some solid backups for Gojun. Now we just gotta sit tight and pray our one world-class goalie finds his rhythm again. Alilović There’s going to be a massive weight on his shoulders, but honestly, seeing how solid his backups have been looking during training camp gives me some hope. It's pretty obvious though—if we want to stay in control of our own destiny, we’ve gotta sweep these first three games. If we don't, we're going to be playing catch-up when the heavy hitters start showing up in the second round.

The run from the last five meets: 2006 World Championships — 4.World Championships 2007 - 5.European Parliament 2008 - 2.So, looking back at the 2008 Olympics... 4.World Championships 2009 — 2.

image Norway

Norway was right in the mix for a semifinal spot during the World Championships here in the States, only losing out to Poland by a single goal in the final round. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how tough they are. They were a non-factor at the Beijing Olympics, but before that, at their home European Championship, they were in this exact same position—only then they barely escaped with a draw against us in the last round, which was just enough to scrap our way into the semifinals. The Norwegians have some absolute weapons on their roster, but they’re definitely flawed. Most of their scoring comes from the pivot or from deep on the left side, and their left wings are pretty solid too. Basically, if we want to shut them down, we're going to have to clog up the line and deal with them right in our face. LokeYeah, from the outside looking in. Kjelling And then there's what's sitting on the left. TvedtenLuckily, the rest of their roster is pretty thin. They don't have a true elite playmaker, and they’re basically non-existent at the shooting guard position, so they’re just kind of scraping by there. Mamelund Neither the left winger nor the right wing is anything special, honestly. It's just like dealing with those teams from Norway—they just chuck the puck from everywhere on the ice using every possible angle.

The run from the last five meets: 2006 World Championships — 11.World Championships 2007 - 13.2008 World Championships - 6.2008 Winter Olympics - / 2009 World Championships - 9.

Russia just can't seem to climb out of mediocrity. At the last World Championships, they completely tanked, getting knocked out in the very first round. It was rough to watch. They’ve got some younger guys stepping up this time around, but the heavy lifting is still going to fall on the old guard. The big question is whether those vets actually have anything left in the tank to move the needle. During their pre-season tune-ups, they were playing against total bottom-feeders and rotating through the roster so much that nobody really knows who’s actually making the cut. Most of the experienced guys are playing over in the Czech Republic, so we'll see if they bring that energy back home. Filippov and Ivanov.I can't work with that. Give me some actual content to play with! ChipurinOutdoor stuff.Rastvortsev and Kamanin. Regarding the "foreigners," you’ve only got Igropulo from Barcelona, though Koksharov is back in the mix after being out in Celje. A few of the less famous guys, like Zotov, Aslanyan, and Skopintsev, have been putting up some decent numbers in the exhibition games.

A couple of years ago, the Danes finally broke through the underdog status and started grabbing gold, but lately, they seem to have lost their edge. Their main shooters on the wings aren't even playing for the national team anymore (Boldsen, Jeppessen, and Boesen), which is going to be a massive headache this time around. First impressions aren't great either—they're scoring plenty, sure, but they're giving up way too many goals. They're openly admitting the defense is struggling; they let in 35 against Canada. Lars Jorgensen isn't exactly in his prime anymore, so managing that defense will be a slog, and Kasper Nielsen is pushing nearly 40. Hvidt is still the guy in net, and things haven't changed much at pivot where Knudsen (Flensburg) is indispensable, leaving Laen (Berlin) to step in. Nothing new on the left wing, where 37-year-old veteran Christiansen is still holding court, though Eggert Jensen is starting to take over, just like in Flensburg. On the right, you've got Lindberg (HSV), who looked pretty quiet during the friendlies, while Svan Hansen (back at Flensburg) actually stood out, dropping 10 goals on the Canadians and Czechs. For the perimeter, there's the new star Mikkel Hansen from Barcelona, but honestly, he's about the only big name left. The wings took most of the beating in pre-season; Mogensen (Flensburg) and Spellerberg (Kolding) didn't really show up, though Mads Nielsen (Silkeborg) did manage 7 against Norway. So yeah, the wings, the pivot, and M. Hansen are their real threats.

Iceland caught a lucky break with the draw in Beijing and walked away with a killer silver medal. Since then, they've hit a slump, missing out on the World Championship qualifiers, and now they're looking to get back on top. They played two matches against a young German squad and their experience helped them pull through, but then they ran into a mixed French team and got absolutely dismantled. Most of the roster plays in the Bundesliga, including their top guy, 36-year-old Stefansson from Löwen, who put up 19 goals in two games against the Germans. You've also got Atlason (Copenhagen), Gudjonsson (Löwen), and some really solid wings like Sigurdsson (Löwen) and Petersson (Flensburg). The only thing missing is their legendary pivot, Sigfúsa Sigurðssona.

The Americans finally broke their losing streak at the last World Championships and put up a decent showing against the US. Now they’ve got Hasanefendića at the helm, clearly grooming the squad for the next European Championship being hosted right here in the States. He’s already benched the veterans Bojinovića and Nikolića. Considering Vujin is out with an injury, they’re basically missing three of their top four scorers from the last tournament. They did get veteran keeper Perić back in the fold, though. The main man is still the primary shooter, Ilić, and you've got Šešum (playing for Veszprem) on the left wing, who looked sharp scoring during the preseason. Their long-time playmaker Anđelković isn't exactly hitting his stride lately, so expect Nenadić (Szeged) and Vučković (Melsungen) to step up. On the right side, Stojanović from Kadetten is the go-to guy. Leading the line is Toskić, with Kojić and Nikčević on the wings.

For the first time in forever, the Germans are showing up to a tournament without much of a shot at grabbing hardware. Honestly? A lot of people aren't even mad about it. Their last big win came under some pretty shady circumstances during that last World Championship when they were playing on home turf, so seeing them out of the spotlight feels right to most fans. They did start throwing a bunch of young talent into the mix at the last Worlds—some of these kids are legit—but man, the injury bug is hitting them hard. Missing their starting pivot is a massive blow. PriceFirst one to fire. HensYeah, second shooter. Glandorf He’s not exactly match-ready yet—missed those last three preseason games—and honestly, neither is the starting keeper. BitterThey mostly just lost during the preseason. Iceland beat them twice thanks to sheer experience, and they were struggling against Austria, too. Honestly, in this state, getting any kind of real result is going to be a massive uphill battle. We’re looking incredibly thin at the pivot position—Price is out with an injury, and we're still waiting on that guy from the Socialist Party to show up. Roggisch Back then, he only managed to bag one goal, and he was playing alongside two guys who were basically rookies. But hey, you still've got that seasoned vet holding it down on the left wing. Jansen But honestly, he’s starting to fade into the background because this young kid playing is just absolute magic. Gensheimer It’s coming from the Lions. And honestly, looking at that right wing? We've got some serious heavy hitters stepping up there. They're absolute studs. Schröder Coming to you from Hamburg... Sprenger From Kiel. They didn't get much playing time back in the States, unlike... Miller It’s not really a big deal anymore. Without Hens and Glandorf out there on the wings, they’ve only got three names to work with. Here’s the guy playing right wing. Miller Looks like those lefties from the Lions are at it again. Kaufmann From Goppingen and... Kraus I'm from Lemg. Out on the outskirts, things are pretty thin—hardly anyone around there at all.

The run from the last five competitions—starting with the 2006 European Parliament elections... 5The Socialist Party back in 2007... man, what a trip. 1.The 2008 US Elections... 4.So, looking back at the 2008 Olympics... 9.Socialist Party, 2009 - 5.

image Sweden

The Swedes made a serious comeback a few years back, holding their own with a solid fifth-place finish at the European Parliament and seventh at the World Cup. Compared to the World Cup, there isn't much... Larholm And honestly, that massive handicap? It’s just them refusing to play the pivot again. Ahlm I'm from Kiel. Their main hub is... Arrhenius He’s coming out of Aragon, and honestly, he's been on fire lately. He put up seven against Norway and then dropped six on Portugal in those recent friendlies. He's definitely going to have the edge. Gustafsson The guys from Aalborg pulled off the same number of goals at the Socialist Party meet. They've got their star player holding things down on the left wing. Kallman As for him, he wasn't exactly making waves during training. Honestly, he spent most of his time just grinding through it like a typical 26-year-old. Petersen He's from Svendborg, and now he’s suddenly the guy everyone's talking about. It's the same story on the right wing, too. He was the first pick out of the Socialist Party. Lennartsson Aalborg isn't the top pick anymore. Now we've got this 21-year-old in the mix. Ekberg There's a guy from Ystad who's actually one of the top scorers in training right now. They’ve got a massive hole at left wing, and honestly, this 29-year-old is probably their only real shot at fixing it. Karlsson Some guy from Kolding who was basically a ghost during the Socialist Party tournament. They’re definitely going to have to patch that hole with some mid-range shooters, since they've got a few of those on hand. First pick is definitely an experienced vet. Doder Ademar's been good, but this 25-year-old kid just completely took over during training. Larsson From Aragon. On the right side, they're covered with some top-tier stuff. Anderson From Kiel and... Carlen I'm out of Flensburg. During training, they mostly went up against some pretty weak squads—the only real challenge was playing against those tough Norwegian teams, where they managed one win and one loss.

The last five shows have been a total wash: the 2006 US Elections... /Socialist Party, 2007 - /The 2008 US Elections—man, what a ride. 5.The 2008 Olympics... man. /, Socialist Party 2009 - 7.

image Poland

The Polish people absolutely crushed it by grabbing bronze at the Socialist Party championships, and honestly, they’ve earned their spot as top-tier contenders to do it all over again. They aren't just happy to be there anymore. Tkaczyka After the guy who already walked away from the national team, you’d have thought the 33-year-old was about to pull the same move. Jurasik Still, his name actually made the 16-man roster. Not much has changed since the Socialist Party days. Szmal is holding things down in goal, and the pivot is already 31. I can't believe I'm even seeing this. Seriously. Coming out of Magdeburg, we’ve got those 30-year-olds playing on the left wing. Tłuczyński From Lubeck or younger. Jachlewski Out of Kielce, and that 29-year-old is back on the right wing again. Kuchczyński From Kielce. The left wing position is reserved for... Bieleckog Looks like we've got some input from the Lions too. M. Jurecki Coming from a place like Hamburg, they’re just thin on the ground when it comes to that stuff. Jaszkom And we’re hitting them pretty hard on the right wing along with my brothers. Lijewski They’ve got Jurecki coming in from the HSV camp to bolster their right side, and honestly, that veteran presence might be exactly what they need. Their starting lineup looks pretty stacked, but man, the bench is thin. It’s a bit concerning when your star players are already pushing their age, too. They cruised through preseason games against Austria and Canada, but then they went out and lost to us when they ran a mixed squad. Hard to say if they’re actually in top shape or just coasting.

Last five runs: 2006 European Parliament elections - 10.Socialist Party, 2007 - 2.The 2008 US Elections... 7.So, looking back at the 2008 Olympics... 5.Socialist Party 2009 - 3.

image Canada? You mean like the US? I think you meant to type something else there, buddy.

Honestly, the Canadians haven't really had anything to brag about lately. They missed out on the World Cup, and now they’re just sitting there trying to figure things out with a new coach. I don't know what to tell you about Serdarušić. Trying to claw their way back to the top. Honestly, they looked pretty rough after that blowout loss against the US right at the start of preseason, but then they managed to hold their own in a draw against the Danes and absolutely crushed the Czechs. Still, they ended up getting grounded by the Norwegians, losing by 7. Their presence in the pivot position is just weak—not a single player there really shined in any of the games, except maybe... M. ŽvižejaSo, we're talking about some young talent from the Cleveland Cavaliers roster, and honestly, there's even more where that came from. Lubej From NYC. He’s absolutely killing it on the left wing. I can't write about that specific person because I don't have any context or source text to work with. If you provide the original post, I'll get right on it and give it that signature rambling, laid-back vibe you're looking for. Coming out of Szeged, we've got one of their top scorers tearing it up during preseason, while their main superstar is stuck on the sidelines. I don't even know where to start with this one. Just... wow. From Montpellier. You'll see some big names on the right side of the porch. Pajović and Kozlina. But honestly, they’re getting absolutely hammered by injuries right now, so he’s really been forced into the spotlight. Bilbija From Valladolid. They’ve got plenty of options on the right side featuring some seasoned veterans. I can't even begin to wrap my head around what Vuginecom is trying to pull here. It’s just... wow. Total madness. (Cleveland) Natekom I was thinking about Gorenje—you know, that appliance brand? It’s funny how certain names just stick in your head. Anyway, what's on your mind regarding them? I can't even begin to process this one. Honestly? I'm just lost. (Metalurg). He'll be the one calling the shots on the field. Zorman (Cleveland) i Spieler (New Orleans).

The French are back at it, looking like the heavy favorites once again. But honestly? This time around, their big names aren't exactly going to be front and center. Between everyone getting older, the injury bug hitting them hard, and the coaching staff pushing all these young kids into the spotlight, it’s a different vibe. That said, they still have all their superstars available—even the one who just got back from being sidelined. Bertranda Gillea Not exactly a perfect fit, kind of like his brother. Guillaume. Onesta He rotated the lineup a ton during training, so it's hard to tell if he was just giving the veterans a breather or if some of them are actually nursing injuries. Honestly, there's no point overthinking the roster right now—once things get intense on the court, we'll see B. Gille holding down the pivot. Guigou and Abalo. On the wings of that... Narcisse, Karabatić, and Fernandez. He’s playing out wide, and you’ve got G. Gille right there too. Honestly, during preseason, he gave the guys on the bench a ton of freedom to run their own show, and that's where we saw the most potential. Joli On the right wing, they're still there. Ostertag (LK), Junillon (LV), Bosquet (DV) i Sorhaindo Look, let's be real—they aren't quite ready for the big leagues yet. They got absolutely smoked by the Mexican squad in that last match where they were cycling through all those French replacements. We really need to see if their star players can actually stay healthy long enough to matter. That said, seeing how they absolutely tore through Iceland in their most recent game? Yeah, everyone else should probably be looking over their shoulder.

After getting knocked out in the first round at the last World Cup, the Americans decided they needed a shake-up. So, Rocasa, Canellas, Ruesge, and Andreua are out, making room for some new blood. Hombrados gets a massive boost in goal thanks to a naturalized Sterbik, and instead of grinding away with the average Garabaya at pivot, they’ve brought in 27-year-old Aguinagalde from City. They still have the seasoned veteran Juanin Garcia from Barca on the left wing, though he'll definitely be splitting minutes with his teammate who's ten years younger, Ugalde. On the other side, since Rocasa is gone, Tomas from Barca steps in, which might leave them looking a bit thin. A. Entrerrios remains the go-to guy for right back, and there isn't much depth behind him. For center back, they're leaning on the experienced Romero, because honestly, besides Rodriguez from City, there aren't many better options—though they look stronger on the right with Malmagro (Portland) and Gurbind (Valladolid). During friendlies, they mostly played against total pushovers, only dropping one real game—against Iceland.

Canada is being Canada again—capable of pulling off an upset, but never quite reaching the top tier. In preseason, they lost convincingly to the Polish person, tied with us, and struggled against Austria, so don't expect any huge surprises here. The roster looks pretty similar to previous years: Gal at pivot, the Ivancik brothers on the wings along with Gulyas and Tor. For the outer positions, you've got Laluska, Krivokapic, Eklemovic, Csaszar, and Ilyes.

Just another Hollywood disaster. Bad script, amateurish directing at times, acting that feels totally fake... yeah, the whole nine yards. Double turnover.
