Either way, this movie refuses to leave you cold, and I think that alone makes it a success. It provokes debate and offers a certain duality, which, in my eyes, means it’s gone that extra mile.
Anyway, paired up with the first one, they tell a fantastic story—honestly, a much tighter pairing than, say, Kill Bill or something similar. I don't quite get why people insist on comparing the first installment to the second when they complement and build upon each other so perfectly. It’s one of those rare instances where a sequel actually works.
If you were to watch 11 & 12 back-to-back in a single evening and then head to bed, I suspect you'd find yourself smiling, feeling as though you'd just finished a truly great novel.
That's all from me. I'm writing this while still buzzing from the experience; I finished it just 15 minutes ago. Cheers.
Honestly, my friend, I’m starting to think you’re just bored out of your mind... You know, maybe find a little hobby? Or even better, grab a weekend gig at a local construction site or a quarry... You’d be so wiped out by Sunday night that the only thing on your mind would be crashing into bed.
They say nothing beats some hard manual labor to keep a man grounded...
Depra really caught me off guard tonight, it was just a total disaster..
So, I guess I don't even need to remind you today?! 🤮
Just please, dear Acid, explain to me—what did we ever do to you that requires you to drop such a gorgeous little fact right here, right now, at this exact moment? What kind of ego are you trying to stroke by doing this, huh? Is it one thread, or maybe twenty-eight? Honestly, go get some help!!! I know you love the spotlight, but it would be much better if you just visited that lady over at the local community clinic (not that they're the best, mind you—I had earwax issues for two weeks this summer and had to watch the kids while dealing with them). You just cross the bridge, walk into that waiting room that looks like it hasn't been updated since the seventies, and wait for the doctor to write you a referral... then you'll see where you need to go next... seriously... first thing tomorrow morning...
I’d bet my bottom dollar you’re one of those people who actually believes the admins are snooping through everyone's private messages.
Looks like you're losing that bet... I know this Reddit well enough to know how things work here... And honestly, don't even bother arguing... I just felt the need to weigh in... 🙂 I’m actually a little surprised that you were the one to react...
The forum is absolutely buzzing right now... everyone is scrambling for a seat at the table... 🙄 Now that Bill Clinton is out of the picture, maybe Walter Mondale can finally step up and present his own executive branch... 🙂
If you ask me, this forum is meant to be a place for hanging out and swapping ideas...
But also... it’s a place to vent all that frustration in the early hours of the morning or late at night... 😁 Whenever I feel like I just need to blow off some steam, or if someone manages to get under my skin, I'll grab a post and just let it all out... and honestly, I feel much better afterward... 😁 Anyway... I actually signed up for a gym membership today... so maybe I won't need this outlet as much! 😁
Man, I can’t even tell you how many times I sat there, absolutely fuming, ready to go off on her and write some scathing manifesto about what a disaster she was. But then, in a heartbeat, none of that anger even matters because, at the end of the day, she was right there by my side. It's the same story with people coming onto Reddit and tearing someone to pieces like they're the most awful person on the planet, completely forgetting the days when they were actually close and treating them like royalty. I am just so incredibly relieved that life isn't some black-and-white movie. Honestly, I really hope I can stop letting these things get under my skin so much. Some things just aren't meant to go your way... but hey, that's just life, I guess... 😁
"A true friend is one who doesn't leave you when things go south..."
That’s what they taught me growing up. Whenever I found myself in a jam—and believe me, I could find trouble if I tried—people would show up. Once, maybe twice... then they’d vanish. By the third or fourth time, they were gone. I suppose people don't really want to be tethered to someone who constantly attracts chaos. Honestly, I wouldn't want to be that person either. But still, those people left right when I needed them most... it isn't all black and white, mind you... no sweeping generalizations here... they just left, and once they were gone, they stayed gone. On second thought, I think this other saying hits much closer to home:
"A true friend is one who gets stuck in the trenches right alongside you..."
For months, I was her rock. There were times she nearly drove me to the brink of insanity, too. I actually posted about it once or twice on Reddit. But then, all that effort finally paid off. One Saturday night, I ended up wrecking my car, and she was right there by my side. I had to tell my parents, and God, it was the first time in my life I felt completely out of control. I just broke down; I was sobbing, totally losing it in that moment. She just held me. She stayed through the whole thing, even when I had to face my parents and admit I'd totaled the car. In that moment, I knew none of my devotion had been in vain. I knew I could count on her. We've had plenty of happy moments since then, too... so the investment wasn't wasted after all.
Usually, people come to places like this just to vent about their struggles. I've done that myself a few times. But today, I’m writing because I want to say that every relationship has its bright spots. I'm not living in fear anymore, wondering how my relationship will end or if it will last. You have to cherish every single moment and every experience. Even if it doesn't work out in the end, it isn't a tragedy. As long as we learn something from it, we walk away a little richer in life experience.
The whole world... feels just like our own little universe... 😁 It reminds me of that old punk anthem: "Everything you ever knew was a lie..." I think I might have glossed over that particular sentiment while I was caught up in my writing spree... 😁
Hehehe... I see how it is... still stuck in the same spot...
Anyway, here’s my little recipe for success:
1. Tell the rest of the world to get lost. 2. Become your own absolute best friend. 3. Learn to actually love yourself. 4. Then, and only then, start looking for real friends... 5. And finally, go out there and find the love of your life...😁
Some people can wrap their heads around that in a heartbeat, but for others? It takes a lifetime of figuring things out...
The social dynamics and psychology of this forum have been pretty obvious to the old-timers for a long time now... 😁
Honestly, I think I’m just going to sit this one out and refrain from commenting... 😁
I’m simply pointing out the fact that the people flocking to the US generally fall into a few specific categories, usually driven by very different motives:
a) they’re looking for comfort, help, or some kind of advice b) they’re hunting for a sucker to mess with c) they’re scouting for a partner among the crowd d) they’re seeking solace in the simple fact that someone else has it even worse than they do e) all sorts of other things...
What does it actually feel like to be an eccentric? What does it truly mean to have some backbone? What is it like to be an outsider, someone who just refuses to fit into the cookie-cutter stereotypes? And what defines a total weirdo?!
Honestly, I think everyone should experience it at least once. That feeling of standing out, pushing back against the grain, or sparking a little rebellion within yourself—even if it’s just a tiny spark. But to actually live your whole life that way? 🙄
Where does that leave your social life? Where is the sense of community??? And where on earth would you even find a place for yourself...
