Look, every single time I’ve played the fool, I’ve actually just crushed another illusion. So now? I don’t even bother trying to look smart anymore. At the end of the day, if I'm constantly obsessing over whether I look stupid, it means I'm hooked on what everyone else thinks. I'm letting their reactions dictate my mood. And honestly? That's just slavery.
That's why I love it. Like Quote said, you can only really be a fool in your own eyes. Once the people around me get used to me being a bit of a mess, they'll stop paying attention to everything I do. And that? That's total freedom. I’ll just look at them and say: "What did you expect from a fool?" 😁
Look, like I said before, I was actually getting worked up about this at first. Now? I couldn't care less. Honestly, I think I’ve just developed an immunity to my own stupidity.😁 🎉
Just like everything else in life, the first time was the hardest. When I first made a complete fool of myself, I honestly thought the world was ending.😁 The second time around? Way easier.😁 Now, after all the countless times I've acted like an idiot, playing the fool is child's play!🙂
If it goes too long without me making a spectacle of myself, I actually start getting suspicious that something is seriously wrong...😉
Over time, I've realized you can only look like a fool in front of other people. In my own head, at that exact moment, I just give myself a nod and say: "Hey, Dragica fly, thank God you acted like an idiot, because He just let you see exactly how stupid you were being!"😁
I bailed right after the awards were handed out, so I’m totally out of the loop on the specifics. I honestly have no clue what actually went down. The whole back-and-forth argument thing just baffles me—all that labeling and pointing fingers? It's pointless. Just let people be who they are, for crying out loud! 😉 At the end of the day, everyone had a choice: show up or stay home. It's that simple.
Personally, that whole crowd there was just total garbage. I don't go to those forum meetups for fun—I only showed up to grab my stuff and get out so I could head to the next thing.😁 I was actually hoping I might run into someone local for once, but nope. Not a single soul from around here.😁
I honestly think they should’ve just handed out all the awards right at the start and then kicked off the party. Making us wait until midnight—if I remember correctly—just created this massive, pointless lull in the energy.
But look, let's be fair. The hosts were basically volunteering their time for this whole thing, so if you take that into account, it actually turned out alright enough.😁
And for the record, Sidewalk Sid definitely should have been running the whole show. In my humble opinion, the guy has actual talent, style, and a sense of humor. He's a huge step up from some of the other people who tried way too hard and ended up being totally cringey..
I just showed up and dipped—honestly, I think I just muttered something like, "Hey, I'm here on stage, so don't go thinking we don't have lives outside of these R&D meetings" 😁 There wasn't any time or space for those deep, heavy speeches 😁
How many people? I'd guess maybe two hundred... but hey, I'm terrible at estimating crowds 😁
Simona really killed it! It’s just a shame nobody was actually paying attention—I got the feeling everyone was just counting down the seconds until her joke was over, but honestly, props to her! And Shadyev too!🙏
I.L. didn't show up, but he definitely got the loudest round of applause😁😁
Chris Ruiz10 is right, the whole thing felt pretty clumsy and... you know...
😲 It’s totally rigged!😠 I had to step out onto the main stage for everyone to see, while those guys just lurked in the dark corners acting like total idiots!
Man, I really thought people into spirituality were supposed to have a little more backbone.🙄
We changed two or three of them too... and seriously, Chris Ruiz10, why on earth didn't you show up? There were barely enough of us to count on one hand anyway!😁
Honestly, I feel like us religious types would actually have way more fun if people stopped labeling us as depressed loners with zero social lives. 😁- Seriously, just take one look at any religious debate online and see which topics always win—then you'll get it.🙂
Like any big event, this one had its fair share of highs and lows.
Personally, I just went for the excursion and to snag some prizes 😁(for myself and a few others).
As far as organization and logistics go, I genuinely have zero complaints, and the awards were spot on.
You can find everything else over on D&K.
I'm not entirely sure, but looking at these religious forums, it feels like it was just me, Simon, and djidjimidji there.
I have no clue what happened after the awards ceremony because I bolted straight home. Some people actually work on Saturdays, you know.😁
PS. For instance, when some people approached me all sweet and curious asking for my handle, and then I told them I was from rif-ovac, they basically bugged out, crossed their fingers like they were praying, and ran for the hills. Maybe I should've just kept my mouth shut, let them buy me drinks, and pretended I was with LJS.🙂
I’m just repeating what I read. I'm waiting for someone actually smart to weigh in on this. Honestly, I think we need to stop being so literal and look at this from a completely different angle.
At the end of the day, have logic and God ever actually played nice together?😁😉
you missed the second part...😉 the one about the one-eyed guy...🙂
I honestly think knowing Him is tied to that whole Biblical thing; they say nobody has ever actually seen God face-to-face, except for Enoch. And if any of us were suddenly hit with an experience like that, we wouldn't even survive it..
Just some rambling here.. before my morning coffee kicks in..👋
We all know there’s something more out there than just this life; someone watching over US. Knowing Him isn't something we can just control or force. But I had this one moment, just a quick flash, where I realized we are nothing more than His shadow—and this whole world? It’s just our shadow.
