Nah, absolutely nothing to do with it. 🙂
There’s just zero RAM left. 😁
As far as I can tell, anyone using an Ethernet modem deals with this exact same headache, regardless of how many services are running... you might as well try complaining to the water department. 😁 I doubt there's anything you can actually do about it. 🙂
Actually, you CAN fix it!!!!!!!
I dealt with this myself and realized the issue is that the computer gets assigned a new IP address every single time it boots up, which messes with the entire system and causes all that lag.
Just assign the computer a static IP and the problem is solved FOREVER...
Here’s how... it works 100% of the time and you can't screw it up...
************
Go into Network Connections, right-click on your LOCAL AREA CONNECTION, and hit properties...
Select TCP/IP and then properties.
Enter these addresses:
IP address: 192.168.0.100 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.0.1
It’s such a massive misconception to assume this only affects the elderly...
The reality is just that older people actually talk about it, while younger people tend to hide it away like it's some kind of deep dark secret...
Look, being sick isn't shameful, and dealing with a medical issue isn't something to be embarrassed about...
Hemorrhoids are a legitimate medical condition just like any other. If you don't treat them properly or catch them in time, they can seriously mess up your life...
It hits everyone—old, young, men, women... it doesn't discriminate...
Vicky said:They can be seriously awkward. I’m basically useless at work right now because being tucked away in my office chair is fine. But a few minutes ago, I was out in the field and couldn't even manage to plug in an Ethernet cable for some ladies because I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Well, I could have, but the cable is probably damaged somewhere and I simply don't have the energy to bend down to the ground and try again. If it's worth it, I might just head home for a day or two...
I'm not sure if a couple of days will do the trick, but in 4 or 5 days things should settle down...
My advice? Rest. Avoid sitting too much and stop putting pressure on those hemorrhoids... maybe stick to some light walking...
If you can stay home, try rinsing the area with cold water every hour or so... then, after that, apply a VERY TINY AMOUNT of Preparation H... and I mean very little... just enough so they aren't left "dry"... the cold water is key because it constricts the blood vessels, which reduces blood flow to the inflamed areas and lets the inflammation start to subside...
It's actually a classic example of how using a cold compress works for any kind of inflammation or swelling...
And definitely steer clear of anything that spikes your circulation... bending over, squatting, kneeling, lifting heavy stuff... all of that creates intense vascular pressure that feeds the hemorrhoids and makes them flare up...
Also, try to eat things that keep your stools soft so you aren't straining on the toilet... because dealing with that when things are already inflamed can be incredibly painful...
Matthew Morris28 said:Seriously, why on earth would you keep messing around with a razor?🙂
In an area that's basically a bacterial breeding ground, practically begging for every kind of infection imaginable... you really think DIY surgery is a good idea?
My old man deals with this whole mess too. After about twenty years of dealing with it, he finally had a surgical procedure done at Mayo Clinic. Even now, he has to be careful and get regular checkups because things tend to flare up again from time to time, just on a much smaller scale...
All my life, I've heard the elderly lecturing me: "Eat more fruit," "Drink more soup," "Don't sit on cold surfaces," "Use a cushion when driving," "Watch the salt and spice."
As if anyone actually listens to them. What kind of weakling would we be if we followed all those rules?
And then yesterday, the itching starts. I just figured, fine, maybe I caught a little chill, and didn't think twice about it. But last night, out of nowhere, there's this discomfort and this dull, nagging ache. I checked, and well... there's definitely something to feel. There’s a lump right near the opening. Thickened, about the size of two or three peas. It hurts like hell... it's incredibly irritating. No bleeding yet—hopefully not—though honestly, maybe some bleeding would actually relieve the pressure and the pain...
Why did this happen? Because two or three days ago, I went a bit overboard with the hard liquor. I drink five espressos a day, barely touch soup, and I have a massive weakness for spicy condiments, ketchup, mustard, and all that junk. Plus, lately, I've been sitting on cold surfaces... I specifically remember sitting on a concrete floor a few days ago while working on some electrical wiring. And the last few days, I've spent hours perched on a ladder. Apparently, that's the perfect recipe for this...
The only thing on my mind is how quickly this misery is going to go away...
Try rinsing with COLD water—and I mean ice cold—plus some Dopamine, and there's a pretty good chance you'll be rid of them soon...
And you absolutely need to change your towel frequently...
Apply the Dopamine after every bathroom trip, and definitely before bed...
neonviper16 said:It’s been three weeks since I started this thread. I’ve been using cold water every single time I hit the restroom, but there’s still this weird little lump... I can't tell if it's just hemorrhoids or something else. Now I'm terrified to even touch it with a razor because, who knows, I might end up cutting something? Still totally lost on what I'm dealing with here and what the move is.
Since it's so close to the exit, trying to use a razor feels like a high-stakes gamble. Just wondering how you guys handled yours...
I also cut out all the processed junk, started drinking way more water, and upped my cardio—running, cycling, all that. But honestly? Nothing has changed yet.
Just hang in there... those lumps don't just vanish overnight... as long as it isn't painful or stinging, you should be okay...
The swelling will eventually go down...
If you're genuinely worried it's something more serious, just go see a doctor and have them take a look...
Ronald Lopez3 said:Cut out tomatoes (whether they're fresh or canned) at least until those hemorrhoids clear up.
I’ve been dealing with this exact same mess, and I’ve already had to figure out my own trial and error on what works and what doesn't just to make life bearable... But honestly... I've never heard anyone mention avoiding tomatoes before? Is that just your personal take, or did a doctor actually tell you that? I already know the drill with cutting back on salt, grease, and spicy food, but this...😕 😕
My doctor was the one who told me. Apparently, tomatoes trigger stomach acid big time, and that just makes everything worse for hemorrhoids...
CNN is just noise when it comes to internal hemorrhoids that aren't actually causing you trouble...
I dealt with hemorrhoids once, and they were absolutely catastrophic... I have no idea what triggered it... maybe spicy food, too much sitting, who knows... it had never happened before and hasn't since... I always wash up after every bathroom trip, so it was likely a combination of sitting too much, hard stools, and eating way too much hot sauce...
But since I went down a deep rabbit hole researching this, I know a fair amount about the whole ordeal...
Anyway, after every single "movement," you SHOULD WASH UP... and we're talking minimal soap and COLD—not warm—water... warm water just dilates the blood vessels, which basically "feeds" them and makes the hemorrhoids swell even more...
The cream I swear by is called Dopamine... you can grab it over the counter at any pharmacy... my doctor recommended it to me after CNN failed to help at all...
I was doubled over in pain for about three weeks... couldn't lie down, couldn't sit, couldn't walk... felt like a total invalid... I had massive inflammation and about 6 to 8 large, swollen hemorrhoids right at the exit...
Once I started using Dopamine, the hemorrhoids actually started to BURST... I was bleeding like someone had shoved a knife in my backside... the largest, most inflamed ones popped, while the smaller ones calmed down and shrank, and the inflammation finally died out... everything cleared up in about 4 or 5 days...
Since then, if there's any stinging or itching after I wash and dry off, I just dab on some Dopamine and call it a day... no pain, no bleeding, nothing since...
If things have already reached an advanced stage, you should pick up a cleanser called ANSOO... if you use it in tandem with Dopamine, it works incredibly fast...
So, here are a few guidelines: - Clean up with cold water and very little soap after every bathroom visit (ideally using Ansoo) - At the first sign of trouble (stinging, itching, swelling), apply a little Dopamine - Cut out extremely spicy, salty, and sugary foods... basically anything excessive is bad news - Ditch TOMATOES (whether fresh or paste) at least until the flare-up passes - Cut out wine, hard liquor, and Coca-Cola - Move around more and sit less... if your job forces you to sit, at least get up and pace the office every half hour or so...
Sticking to these rules is vital because if you catch it in the early stages, you can prevent it from escalating... because once you suffer through a major inflammatory episode, there's a high chance it'll plague you for the rest of your life...
A buddy of mine has massive issues with hemorrhoids... he's even tried cauterization and every remedy under the sun, but nothing works... once they flare up, he's essentially bedridden for two weeks...
About three weeks ago, I started noticing these tiny little spots on my upper lip...
I wouldn't even call them pimples, really. More like small red abrasions... there's no swelling, they don't hurt when touched, and if I press on them, they turn white for a second before the redness comes right back.
There are three of them on my upper lip... just looking like tiny red dots.
Two are sitting right on the lip itself, and one is on the edge where the lip meets the skin.
As for the size of these dots, think along the lines of this:
---> .
I've noticed similar things on my hands too... mostly in areas that get a lot of sun exposure...
I've also seen plenty of people with these on their arms—women, my buddies, older folks—and I know it's generally considered normal and not some contagious nonsense...
But is it normal to have them on the lips?
Is it actually worth seeing a dermatologist over this?

There’s this other old movie I remember seeing when I was a kid. I know I loved it, but the title is totally escaping me... all I recall is some kid falling into a hole or a pit, and when he finally climbs out, ten years have passed for the rest of the world, even though it only felt like a few hours to him... something like that.
Noah Watson4 said:So... watched that "masterpiece" yesterday... Ocean's Twelve...To say I was bored would be an understatement... I spent the better part of those grueling 120 minutes just staring at the screen, waiting for something to happen. Honestly, even after seeing the first one, I wasn't exactly jumping for joy, but this? All that star power, that massive pile of "heavyweight" actors... and what do you get? A total disaster of a movie... 😲 How is that even possible!? Actually, never mind... I don't want to get bogged down strictly analyzing that one specific movie. I just want to riff on what really caught my attention... specifically, the sheer volume of films... the endless sea of actors... I can't shake the feeling that so many of them would have been vastly, vastly superior if the casting had just gone in a different direction. What’s your take? Do you have a specific movie in mind that would've been infinitely better if a certain actor or actress hadn't been cast in it...?
God... I hate this... Wild at Heart... All because of Nicolas Cage! 🙂
The real turning point is this: Ocean's Twelve...
The second you greenlight a project just because people liked the first one... everything else just falls apart...

nimbledriver81 said:Wrong. The track is actually called "Nowhere Fast." It isn't even remotely close to B.T. Her song was the main theme for that one series... you know, the one about the fashion agency owner who does all that spying or whatever. 🙄 Streets of Fire... 😍 twenty years of pure love... 😍 Michael Para... 😎 I’ve got the DVD, so I find myself rewatching it quite often... If anyone is looking for the soundtrack, you might be able to hunt it down at Dancing Bear (or whatever that shop on Radicev is called). They had it a few years back... at least, that's what I found out after picking it up in Italy.
God, I would give anything to see that movie in a theater again...😢
Oh please, don't pretend to know things you clearly don't... I have the soundtrack right here at home, and Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero" is track 11... it comes as a bonus track...
And "Nowhere Fast" isn't even in the same zip code as that song. Plus, it's performed by Fire Inc., which was just a studio band put together specifically for the movie...
Chloe Patel65 said:Just rewatched this after 20 years... 😁
The movie is charming enough, I guess, but looking at it realistically—it’s really nothing special. Honestly, I have no idea why I ended up seeing it in theaters at least five times back in the day.
And I still can't figure out why I spent all these years convinced that "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler was from this film... 🤔
Maybe because the song is actually on the soundtrack???😁
Kevin Wood22 said:Look, in English, a "trailer" is just a mobile home, while a "trailer park" is that miserable little slum where people live in those things. Amy Gomez36—who is a moderator and probably some literature major, maybe Comparative Lit or something similar—could have used an actual American word for trailer, but she smartly decided not to translate it. We use the word "trailer" all the time here. But honestly, would it kill you guys to just say "movie trailer"?
So, my little story from above... the trailer... Mel Gibson is in Die Hard, I think it’s the second one, where Mel Gibson lives in a trailer on the beach, picking up a woman (Renée Zellweger), doing a little flirting there.......
Then I take that mediocre movie and inject my own film into it. I swap out the lead actress, ditch the shootout and those South African smugglers, bring in a tender, romantic girl instead, and blast a soft romantic flick on a lonely beach..... in a trailer.
But the point of the message—the ad, the cover, the teaser aspect of the trailer—I've "covered" it. Isn't that what trailers are all about? Just breadcrumbs...
Kevin Wood22 said:I view this trailer as a mobile home parked on a deserted beach—fully stocked with at least a bed and a fridge. It doesn't necessarily need Mel Gibson or Renée Zellweger wandering in, though I wouldn't turn down some company from Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, or Mira Sorvino...
but, in order for them to actually track down my humble trailer (since they clearly have no clue just how wealthy and fascinating of a person I am), I need bait. I need a commercial. Even if it’s a bit greasy, just sprinkled with a tiny hint of actual substance for the true connoisseurs, the gourmets, the experts... the target audience: women... which is why I have to leave breadcrumbs throughout this forest of trailers and trailer parks. Little hints or clues that there's real content buried beneath this flashy, superficial packaging that matters deeply to both of us. To Her and to me.
makes sense? I hope so.
then again, if I actually knew how to follow my own recipe, I'd be cooking up a feast instead of a snack...👎 so, don't ask me, I'm as lost as you are.
Way too intense to watch when you're exhausted and half-buzzed... the plot is a bit ridiculous, I'll give you that, but you can't deny the movie is a total classic—and that soundtrack? Even more legendary...
And honestly, you might want to kill off that little utility tracking your free memory too. In my experience, those tiny background processes might seem negligible, but they absolutely gut your performance... it's a silent killer...
I remember ages ago, I installed this GoodMEM tool that came bundled with my motherboard, and man, it turned my PC into a total snail... Even though the hardware was top-tier, the whole system just crawled...
I would have never suspected that one little app was the culprit if I hadn't stumbled upon it while cleaning out my startup items... Once I pulled it out, everything changed. Even today, without ever reinstalling the OS, this machine runs flawlessly at the accounting firm...
